I get migraines pretty often especially during stressful times. The medication that the doctor gave me makes me groggy and, like any mother, I don't have time to be groggy.
I try to keep lemons and lemon juice concentrate in the fridge at all times. I have found that the concentrate seems to help more. Usually, I pour about half a coffee cup full of lemon juice concentrate, sprinkle in some salt and stir it up. Then, I sip it until it's gone. My husband's neurologist said that lemons are a natural antihistamine (spelling?) and that it helps with the flood flow.
I drink the lemon juice as soon as I start getting the headache because it seems like nothing helps a full-on migraine.
If, for some reason, you don't have lemons or lemon juice concentrate, sometimes a strong lemonade will help.
I just started getting migraines alot, I will have to try this! Thanks!
