Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

:wave:Hello Lisa,
well I have sat here for most of the afternoon reading and rereading from your quick links and believe I am up to speed with most of your postings. If you mentioned things that did not make it into the links I will have missed that part (sorry).

First, thing I am really sorry to hear of the loss of your BIL. But, I know he is out of pain and your family pain of watching him suffer is over. I will continue to pray for your family while they accept his passing and for the pain that is felt in their loss. (I hope that came out right)...

Next, the camping weekend looks so relaxing and fun...I wonder if I would enjoy something like that (I know Ashton would), I don't think we would have to worry about wild animals with the noise that Danny makes at night:rotfl: (that would be my fear in a tent--wild animals). Love love loved the sunset pictures! Congrats on the fishing win :cheer2:

finally, caught up on Lacey's info!!! love the idea of a wedding and two family receptions...I really like that idea! I like Lacey's theme it can be such a serene theme when done delicately.

Happy to hear that John will be joining you and Hunter on next year's WDW visit! :mickeyjum

great updates on the WDW visit!!! :goofy: sounds like you guys were able to enjoy what you wanted even with the rain!
the food at Plaza looked yummy especially your club sandwich, John's and your mom's dessert...
GREAT Wishes photos! and how awesome to catch a second viewing of Spectro--great spot!!!

:wave2: Connie

Sorry I haven't been around today to post replies. I am almost through entering billing data into the computer. Thank goodness because the statements are supposed to go out Friday. I know ya'll heard it before (and you'll probably hear it again:laughing:), I HATE BILLING!

In other McBride news:

Lacey made it to Tennessee safely yesterday afternoon. She will be staying until Saturday when she'll head back home and I'll be stressed out again because she's on the road by herself.

We found out that Lacey is getting another grant so she'll be able to finish up her last three classes she needs to get her degree. That's the good news. The bad news is, she thought she would be able to take the three classes she needs here in Monroe but she can't. Well, technically, she could but the hours/credits can't be transferred to another college. Wish we had been told this when Lacey called a month or so ago. They just told her to call back late October. I'm glad we didn't wait that long or we would have found out too late to have done anything about it.

So, we've done more research and found out that she can take two of the classes online with the college that she attended in Georgia. That's the good news. The bad news is one of those classes can't be paid for with financial aid and, of course, it's the most expensive of the two classes.

During our research, we were told to find a local college that has a Science w/lab class and that would be the last class she would need to finish up her degree. We are searching for that now. And, that class will have to be paid for our of out pocket too.

That's Lacey's good and bad news.

Hunter's good news: He had a 3.71 grade point average which places him on the Honor Roll! Yay! He has never liked English or Language Arts and those two classes were what kept him from being on Honor Roll in the past but not this time. Hopefully, he can keep that up.

Hummmmm, I don't really have any good news to report for John and I. John would probably say his good news is the fact that his turnip greens are growing despite the fact that it's been a gosh awful long time since we had any rain. He can have all of those greens that he wants....I'm not going to eat any of them.

I am in the process of uploading our Star Wars Weekends pictures and will be posting an installment as soon as I can.

wonder why Lacey can't use her grant as needed. Gwendolyn and Dayne only have to use theirs at an accredited school; that's interesting...but, happy to hear she is staying on top of things!

Congrats! to Hunter that is very exciting to be on honor roll...Dayne has never cared for English or L.A. but always seemed to pull it togther when he needed to!

ewe...turnip greens; John can have them! my dad and mom like them I just never did care for them...

have a great evening!

Glad Lacey made it to Tennessee fine. Ugh, though, about the classes. What a pain in the neck! I don't understand how some higher education facilities can run with the lack of information and communication they have. Sometimes it's just crazy!

Side note story about stupid colleges: DH is currently doing his MBA at the University of Tennessee. He's in his final semester, so he requested just a partial student loan this time. Well, in August, the school emailed him and said that they received his loan, but that they overpaid by $11,000 and we were getting a refund. Wow! Great!

Fast forward to September. We've had the money for about a month in our bank account (yay! looks good!) and the school emails and says "You still owe $11,000 on your account". What? How? Yeah, mix up. So, we send in a check for the balance. (Boo. I liked having that extra in the account).

Yesterday, I looked at our bank account. The school put the money BACK in our account as an overpay! Seriously, do you want the money or not? Geez!

Luckily, Mike has to be up there this weekend for school and he's going to go get it all straightened out.

Anyway, sorry for the babbling. Your school story just made it all come out.

BIG CONGRATS TO HUNTER ON HONOR ROLL!!!!!

Woo HOOOO!!! Great job!!!

I am finally caught up! The Lake where you guys camp looks SO awesome. You had a bunch of great photos in there!
You had a lot of fantastic photos of Wishes & Spectromagic, too!
I'm glad Lacey made it to Tennessee alright. That stinks about not being able to take the classes in Monroe- and that the most expensive one is the one that isn't covered. Why do things always happen that way? :confused3
Yay! for Hunter's GPA!!!!!!!

Wow! So what was going on? The bus driver was letting others on because he hadn't folded the stroller yet? Or was it something else?

Wow! So what was going on? The bus driver was letting others on because he hadn't folded the stroller yet? Or was it something else?

Apparently, the guest was upset because the bus driver told him that the bus was full. The guy/guest then threw his child at the bus driver/into the bus and proceeded to start attacking the bus driver. The thread that I read said that there was an undercover security guy there and he didn't intervene because the bus driver, basically, had it under control. But security did come and the guest and his family was escorted behind the scenes, the guest was arrested and they have been banned from Disney.

Here a copy of a post I found:

I work for bus operations and the entire incident was caught on the security cameras.Every load zone has a high def camera that sees the bus and load zone. We can actually zoom in with the cameras and read the drivers name and his hometown on his name tag on their uniform. Also in the video one of the gentleman on the bus,{I wont identify him} was one of our plain clothes security officers and was in the load zone at the time and witnessed the attack. Security was called along with the OCSO,and yes it took them a few minutes to get to him. This was because the bus was in load zone C7 which is in the charter bus lot and away from the regular Resort load zones near the entrance to Hollywood Studios. If you watch the video closely you will see flashing red and blue lights illuminating the side off the bus. When the wife saw them pull up the wife took off,and tried to hide in the crowd, and left her child with the husband. Other guests identified her to security. They were then removed from the bus and load zone and taken backstage. The gentleman was then arrested and handcuffed for assault on the driver. He is also facing charges for Terrorist threat due to the assault happening on the bus, and public endangerment. They were also ejected from the resort they were staying at,and trespassed from Walt Disney World property. They will not be returning to the Happiest Place on Earth ever again. Also everyone will be happy to hear the driver was not reprimanded for the incident, and continued with his job that evening. I actually saw and talked to him last night and he is doing fine.
Also forgot to add copy of the security tape was provided to the OCSO,they are in turn forwarding it to the state attorney for possible further charges of Felony child neglect and endangerment.

WOW!!! Glad to hear everything turned out OK, wel lfor the bus driver.
What kind of person throws there baby?

That is nuts. I think it is crazy that cast members can get fired for defending themselves, even in the slightes bit. Its not like the guest could sue if they started it.

WOW! what a story!!! SCARY!
it is so hard to work with the public and so many people today believe that they are owed something...
I am happy to hear that there is undercover security in the parks protecting the CM's and guests! and it is interesting to hear that OCSC is on the grounds too!
and happy to hear the bus driver was not hurt and not citied in the incident...

WOW!!! Glad to hear everything turned out OK, wel lfor the bus driver.
What kind of person throws there baby?

A crazed idiot apparently! Poor baby, and I'm hoping the bus driver gets thanked well for being as calm as he was during that scene. I don't know if I could have been that collected. I would have kicked the guys butt.

I'm all caught up reading. So sorry to read of your BIL passing but very glad to have read he received Jesus as his Lord & Savior before he died. That must have brought so much comfort to your family.

The camping pictures were lovely, I never tire of seeing sunsets so I for one enjoyed them all :goodvibes

Looking forward to reading more about your time at WDW :)

Hi Lisa,

I have been thinking about and praying for your family, your sister in particular.

That is a shame about Lacey's grant, but she is so close to being done! And wonderful news about Hunter, you must be so proud of both your kids, you and John have really done such a great job.:goodvibes

I have to say, that energetic guy you saw at Spectro I have seen before I am almost positive! We sat with him on a bus once going from DTD to the CR and he walked along the path to the MK with us. I remember him very well because he was dressed a bit uniquely. The bus driver knew him very well, I think he must live locally and go to the parks a lot. Anyway, we got off with him at the CR and we all ended up seeing Spectro in the same general area as you were in and he was doing that same thing. Its hard to tell for sure, but I just know that has got to be the same guy! Small world huh?

I had to change CBR to ASMU, our basement flooded. I am very sad. But it saved us a bundle. :sad1: Still I do enjoy ASMU and noticed on another thread you are thinking about staying there for one night.

Hi Lisa!:goodvibes

I'm finally all caught up. Great pictures of the Plaza...everything looks so yummy! I'll have to put it on our list of places to try!

Glad to hear you had a fun camping trip! You got some beautiful pictures of the lake! But...eeek!! That spider was huge!:scared1:

Aww...I loved looking at your pictures of Wishes and Spectromagic parade!!:cloud9: It's just what I needed to see this morning to perk me up!;)

Thanks for the tip on the migraines! DH get them....I'll have to pass on the info.:thumbsup2

Good news that Lacey's getting another grant...but it's too bad that it doesn't cover the most expensive class.:sad2:

YAY Hunter for making the honor roll!!:yay:
