Who Is The Mayor Of MK?

Who is this wonderful man? I constantly see him. In August, I got to take a pic with him and briefly have a chat. He is such a nice and interesting CM. Does he have to be there everyday? Was he appointed by Walt or Roy? Thanks!

I don't know anything about the actor playing him, but I know his official character name is Mayor Weaver, and he is the fictional mayor of Main Street at Magic Kingdom. He is obviously one of the "Streetmosphere" characters at Magic Kingdom. I don't know much about him beyond that, but we love meeting the mayor when we are there! We saw him out twice last week, and it seems to always be the same person playing him. A few years back, we met a different Mayor, but maybe that actor retired. One of the mayor's favorite slogans is "Pull the lever, vote for Weaver". Nice to see others who love their Main Street "Streetmosphere" characters!
