Not me, it wouldn't be the holidays without having our tree up until at least January 1st or 2nd. Sometimes we leave it up until the weekend after New Year's. Then again, we don't put our tree up the day after Halloween either! :rotfl:

So who has had enough of Christmas and is taking their decorations down today?

Not me either but my best friend does because her dd birthday is Dec 27 and my friend really goes out of her way to make sure her her dd is very seperate from Christmas.

Ours is coming down but only because it is really dry. The ornaments are starting to fall off of it!

We always take it down on January 1st. Can't stand to see it after the holidays.

Mine is coming down pretty soon...The thing is drying out...and its only been up since the 10th..

Its going out to be burned for NYE

We're taking ours down tomorrow. It's really getting dry and I'd like to get it out of here before the needles are all over the house. Today is my daughter's birthday, so I understand the poster who said her friend likes to separate the 2 holidays/events. It's hard when they're so close together.

We are only because the cats just won't leave it alone. They chew the fake branches, swipe at the ornaments, and when we don't feed them wet food early enough they just plain ol' knock it over.

We always wait until Jan 6th. (and if the weathers bad--- our outside decs stay up until the weather clears up-- but we don't turn them on after the 6th)

Mine will come down as soon as I convince DH to pull the ornament boxes out of the garage. Might be tonight or the next day or so. I'm getting better though--there were a couple years where I'd be pulling the tree down on Christmas Day. :rotfl:

Christmas doesn't end until Jan 6th (Epiphany) so that is when we take ours down =)

Course ours is fake so we don't have to worry about dried out trees that need to be taken down sooner.

I'd gladly take them both down today, except for that mountain of toys and gifts that are in the way.....have to wait until all that is put away. Probably by next weekend it will all be done.

Same here :)

Probably after Jan 1, but it is up to DH.

Our new great dane puppy Brutus thinks taking our tree down is a good idea. Of course he also likes chasing the cats and peeing on the rug.

We are. I was planning on keeping it a few days after Christmas, but since we are making mochi on Wednesday and will be doing this and that, today is the offical tree day.

We keep it up until the ephiphany too. I can't tell you when the village is coming down, though. That's far more work than the tree!

I take mine down before New Year's because we have a tiny house and when the whole family of 30 some come over for dinner.....there just is no room for the tree.

::yes::

I was always told (by family) that it is bad luck to take it down before New Year's Day. DH would like to take it down today!! My mother is particularly bad about leaving it up. I remember many years that it was up after my birthday (Jan. 12th)!

My daughters birthday is tomorrow (the 27th) and I have never taken my tree down for it. We always have a seperate party for her birthday, usually on New Years Day. Besides, I'm too pooped right after Christmas to take anything down!
