Who is ready for american idol tonight??

I was a Jennifer fan when I heard she was from DCL. Then I didn't think she sounded all that great and she had a poor attitude so she lost my vote, but tonight she blew me away I was so impressed by her performance last night.

I had goosebumps last night watching George. He seems like such a sweet, loving soul, the way he grins and waves to his family in such a child-like, excited way. I also think Jasmine did better than they gave her credit for, and Jenifer H. shocked the heck out of me! Who knew she could do THAT?!?

So whoever posted about the "race card" needs to tear it up, sprinkle some salt on it, and eat it neatly with a spork. Elton John is definitely hard to sing, but I think different genres are what makes it difficult, not the color of your skin.

I always knew Jennifer H could sing like that... I wasn't surprised at all. I also enjoyed Latoya, George, and Fantasia... they were all good.

JPL needs to quit bopping up and down and messing up his voice. His vocals aren't strong enough to move around too much on stage... when he does he gets off key and weak. I agree he needs voice lessons... but he's a cutie. ;)

Camille is pitiful. Her voice is so terrible I feel sorry for her. She definitely needs to go tonight.

John's attempt at Crocodile Rock was awful. He needs to stick to what he can do and not try to be a rock star. I don't think he'll last too much longer.

Diana was OK... not her best.

Jasmine was OK... out of tune.

JPL, John Stevens and Camille have to go. I really dont care what order, but they werent very good

I think last night's show proved one thing:

Elton John is a LOT more talented than I ever thought! And I'm a BIG fan!

His style is VERY hard to emulate and BOY did they try! I think George's choice of a song that is NOT very popular was a great idea! I have a HARD time listening to someone butcher a song I love.

BTW, last night's show reminded me of the day Sir John came to my station. He was so kind and humble, unlike his publicists and managers who insisted we stay our distance and NOT ask for autographs! Well, when he got there he didn't mind at all! He's a great guy and BTW he's about my height, which makes him just about five feet tall! :earseek:

I haven't been following Idol that closely this year, but I have seen George a couple of times and think he has an awesome voice. What Elton John did he sing?? Everyone is saying he did a great job, but no one has said what song he sang!

He sang "Take Me To The Pilot" and it ROCKED. George is definitely coming into his own.:D

Hey thanks! Wow that is a great song, I would have loved to hear him sing it! Not a typical EJ hit, good for him.

I won't be surprised if Camille doesn't go tonight, if you go over to the Fox AI messege board she has a huge following over there. Someone actually posted that they got in over 1100 votes for her! Talk about needing to get a life. lol

Wow Tamyra sounded incredible! That's so cool that she wrote her own songs too.

Side note my DH just told me that Josh Gracin's new song is now getting a lot of air time on our local country station.

What is UP with the group A, B and C thing??????????????

Uh-oh unfortunately (except for Camille) I am thinking group A is the bottom 3.

I think you are right. How did Diana get there. You never know, it could be the boys and Fantasia. She is the kind of singer that is striking at first--but you get tired of.

the only thing I'm pretty sure of, it that the group with George, Jenn, and LaToya are staying!!

OK, this had better be Camille's night to go -- if not, there is NO JUSTICE!

if Jasmine is sent packing I am gonna be so mad. Camille deserves the long road home!!

I knew it would not be the boys even though they deserve to be standing with Camille in group A. The boyshave too much of the younger teen fans that are probably drooling over them.

I'm am flipping livid, how can the 2 John's be middle 3, or for all we know top 3.

No way Jasmine is bottom 2, I'm starting to get discouraged with
this Idol.

Camille looks absolutely miserable!! I have never seen a contestant look sooooooooooooo much like they don't want to be there. She didn't act like she wanted to sing again when Ryan asked her to. If it was me that was facing "the boot", I would want to go down swinging!!!!

Oh good lord how is John Stevens safe?!? He seems like a good kid and all but he was terrible the last 2 shows. And JPL wasn't much better, oh well this show is really about talent at all I guess. I have to say it is taking a lot of the fun out of it at for me.

Yeh Camille definitely deserves to go soon but John Stevens and JPL deserve to be in the bottom 3 that's for sure.

Awww Camille actually made me tear up when she was singing her song, she knew she was going because she changed the words. I guess the kids really liked her they seemed pretty upset she left even Fantasia was crying. I think she also sounded 100% better tonight, go figure.

I wonder why Paula left for awhile, I think she might've been mad.

I think that John Stevens should've went, I mean come on he was bad, really bad, nice kid or not.

Observations other than the vote:

1. I came in the room when Tamyra was singing, and at first I thought I was looking at and listening to Whitney Houston. I thought when Tamyra was voted out the year that everyone made a mistake, and that was proven tonight!!

2. Does Camille EVER smile? She just frowns and scowls all the time. (OMG, she's butchering Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, again!)

3. During the group sing of EJ songs, I thought I was watching something that had been choreographed for the Brady Bunch Kids. All that was missing was them breaking into "Sunshine Day.

Other than that, anxiously awaiting (and dreading) the results.
