Who is ready for a trip report?

The very bad rain is here. Hoping it moves through. May be a bit late to Epcot to give it a chance to clear out.
Drive safely and nice meeting y’all!

DW, DD2 and our friend with the rockstar!! Our daughter would have been happy to pet Mallory for a whole trip and never see a park.

When we met @WeLovePluto at the meadow trading post, youngest DD said “I can pet Mallory all day”. My response was, “no worries, Mallory wants to be pet all day.”

I think through the worst of the rain. It was really dark and visibility was bad but got through it slowly. Definitely lost time won’t be a speed record home. Thankfully Saturday so not a big deal,

Enjoying your thread as we are so missing the Fort. Was looking all through here trying to find Mallory's story? Did I miss it? Beautiful dog :lovestruc

We are home. For all the rain only about 10 minutes off track when we hit the Georgia line. Atlanta did not screw with us. A little slow but straight through the city. Got to storage in 8 hours 10 minutes. From fort till garage at home was 9:02. Did really good getting the rig in its spot and not a lot of traffic on the way back into the city.

Mallory is not happy. I gave her water but she chirps. I am pretty sure she is missing all the pets. She was knocked out last night. Thanks @WeLovePluto family for entertaining her last night.

She is waiting for dinner but was feeding myself first.

Thanks for the TR and all the pictures. Glad you, Bert and Mallory are home safe. Teresa and I are still coming to Disney but unfortunately not the Fort. With the storms coming in, just not worth the chance pulling the camper. (We will be there for 2 weeks at Halloween :cool1: ) Spoke with a Kentucky highway guy and he said that the "freezing fog" we are getting right now is more dangerous than snow. They are starting at 4 AM treating the highways for the upcoming storms. We are going to stay at Pop Century with 3 park days. We will also be visiting with friends at the Fort on Saturday so all is not lost. Still coming through Atlanta and appreciate the travel advice. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Again, glad you had a safe and relaxing time at the Fort and safe travels home.

@JETS70 be careful our weather is not looking great. Daytime should be ok though. at least you get a few days to enjoy disney.

funny been looking all night for the thread where I explain everything about Mallory. Of course I can’t find it but I have read about Mallory’s first trip in the rental and the next two we took in our new to us rv and with yeti. I also looked at yeti’s last trip report, which also happened to be the last trip Debbie had as a vacation to Disney. We spent the week at the fort and Debbie was at the contemporary.

Last night we ate the maple bacon donut from everglazed. By far my favorite. On Friday night we ate the strawberry iced with sprinkles which was also good but maple bacon is the best highly recommend it.

This morning with coffee we split the Gideon’s coffee cake cookie. Bert is like just because it’s shape is a circle does not make it a cookie. We both think it’s delicious (and even better with coffee) but Bert is like it is coffee cake and leave it at that.

Chris, Glad y'all made it home & thru the heavy rain. Orlando area has been getting some bad storms lately. My phone alerts me when bad weather is in the forecast. Thank you for taking us along on your stay @ "THE FORT"! I do miss it, but wouldn't be the same with out Grumpy Aggie. Take care & stay warm. Mallory is so precious, I, also could love on her all day.

Oh, man! Wish I had seen this post sooner. I was actually in Orlando from February 4-10 staying at AKV - Jambo! I came over to the Fort on Tuesday the 9th for dinner at P & J's Southern take-out... So sorry to have missed you all!

So Kris, I've been dying for that bacon maple donut since you first posted the picture. In your opinion is it worth a 30 minute drive for a donut?

@Stratman50th yes I think it is worth the drive. Bert agrees it was really good. Get a few. Absolutely my favorite the bacon has the salt and the maple icing is sweet. Great combination.

We didn’t try Everglaze today, so I don’t know how long the queue was. I got into the one for Gideon’s while we are brunch. It was 5 hours. We didn’t get cookies.

@WeLovePluto I guess you have to try a week day. I only went that one Saturday. Got there by 10:30 got in queue for Gideon’s, was 2 hours. We ate and only had to wander around a little then back to gideon. Cookies not good enough to wait that long. Did you guys watch the race today?

DW saw the wreck on her phone while we were coming back from Disney Springs. Then it went into rain delay and I think it’s still there.

@WeLovePluto wow 5 hours. Yeah I would not wait around for that.

This weekend was VERY busy for WDW. Valentines Day and President's Day weekend. I've been down for a conference this same weekend and every where was crazy.

I saw the beginning of the race and the last 45 laps. I don't like the big crashes. The last looked like a good race until the last 1/2 mile of it. I think everyone learned something about late race pit strategy. I'm not sure if the Ford teams planned it or just lucked into it, but their pit strategy certainly worked.
