Yes and no, it is 4,000 per resort, per person. Max of 8,000. So a couple could own 4,000 at one resort and 4,000 at a second resort. I think if you are single they hold you to 4,000. Most don’t have to worry about that, unfortunately.

I have 3,300. Will probably add on 200 somewhere taking it to 4,000. So I’m close

Sad. I never knew what we were losing before so I was never sad to hear it was scrapped. I hope there is still a chance they build it. It definitely gives me second thoughts on adding on right now and holding out for what might come.

As others have said and I concur VGF just isn't our vibe, don't want more points and can't buy AP's,,oh yea Magical Express ,although we mostly drive down now most of our family still flies.

We just became members at CC with a direct purchase of 250 points in December. It seems like the right amount of points for us

I’m not buying because I’m waiting to see which way the magic flows. I already own 500 vgf1.0 points that I use to book 2 beds and those will be going to the resale factory if I begin to experience trouble booking. I did not join DVC to walk 11 mo reservations. No thank you.

We have 1540 points that are not even enough for our use. We have never rented but rent often still. I was going to add 300 BCV to round out my resort locations but this die hard fan is experience some Disney fatigue. Amenities are noticeably diminishing from the coffee machine in the VGF lobby to MDE to ADR availability. I belong to a Disney club that allows us unrivaled access and admittedly, even that has diminished. I’m going to sit out for awhile and wait for the Bob & Josh show to end and hope we get an Iger type back one day soon. The don’t say gay political donation situation was the straw that broke the camels back for me. But hey, 8 amazing years of trips and I could sell my points for a tidy profit. That’s crazy!

I don't need any more points, but if I did I still would not be buying any DVC at this point. We've not been for 2 years and I am concerned that all the changes will make me not to even want to go to WDW anymore, so I'll need to see how our trip this fall goes before I make any decisions around buying more DVC points.

I was a little tempted but ultimately we don’t really need more VGF points, and I’d rather wait to buy DLT. It’ll be nice to be able to book at 11 months at DL instead of the work it takes to book VGC since we don’t own there. We’ve stayed offsite at DL plenty of times but still much prefer staying at VGC, and hopefully we like DLT when more details come out.

This! With the Luau closing, a longhouse close by, sight line balloons being placed in the area years ago, and some folks desire for 1 and 2BRs at the Poly I could see it potentially happening in the future. Of course this is complete speculation but one has to think it could be an idea.

Add-on (pun intended) the GF is super nice but just not our vibe.

This post aged well
