Try doing what I suggested in this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=971593 It works for me in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, but in Internet Explorer you sometimes near to clear your cache to see changes in images.

I also got it to work in Firefox by doing a "super-reload." I didn't need to clear my cache. I don't know how you do a reload on Windows but on Mac just hold the shift key down and click on the reload icon on your browser. It will then reload from the server and not from cache.
