Omigosh!! That is so funny! I don't think I could pack my clothes that far in advance. I wouldn't have enough to wear!

I did vacuum out my truck to start the prepping process. It will get a more thorough once over when the time gets closer. I purchased mounting devices for the iPads so that we can attach them on the headrest to help entertain the boys during the long drive. Well worth the $15 I paid for them.

I need to get my list of necessary snacks and food items. You can't travel 16 hours without snack!

yes apple has done some good things!! but i never let my kids touch ours!. our DD16 bought her own. but my wife and I NEVER let them touch ours! LOVE LOVE LOVE our ipads though!

16 hours... aaaaaah! I feel for you..in Philly we dont have a car! we live in center city so we have absolutely no need to use a car. if we need to go somewhere we use zipcar.. we fly. 2.5 hours.. we there!

Both of the boys navigate the iPads with ease. Who knew an 18 month old could be so good with it. He knows where his apps are and how to use them. My husband has been angling for a new ipad2. I suspect he'll have one before too long and our 6 y.o. Will get his hand-me-down. It's an amazing educational tool. I have a lot of clients that use them for their children with autism.

Bag should be here Monday. I'll post pics as soon as I get it.

I have 2 magical surprises for my family-one is I booked MK view (we've stayed twice b4 with GV) and two, I'm having a birthday balloon bouquet delivered held by stuffed Mickey and when you touch the top balloon, he sings Happy Birthday! But I couldn't let my 9 year old dd be left out so I ordered her a cute room amenity gift, too!

that is Just awesome!! DD's 21st that is a great celebration! MK view is awesome.. we love opening the curtains and seeing the castle late at night or early morning!
that is a heck of a spread as far as 21-9 years old!!

you should definatley let us buy your DD21 a drink!

We start our drive 3 weeks from today. We offically start our Disney Vacation in 23 days.

Needed your positive energy this morning, Carl! We had a rough, rough night with storms around here. Did you guys get hit with any in the Philly area?

We are still without power (thank Goodness for MiFi and iPads). Possible tornado touched down within 2 miles of our home.

Truly the scariest storm I've ever weathered, including a tropical storm. Of, course, I WAS at Disney for that one. Everything is better at Disney

Wow!!! I hope you are okay!!! The weather is really crazy!! Here in philly it was sunny and hot!! Kind of sticky!! Do you have power now??
I seriously wonder if the earthquake in Japan has changed our weather patterns! That earthquake actually sped the spinning of the earth and has shortened our days by a fraction of a second. I know I sound crazy but really look it up.. It really did speed the rotation of the earth!
Just think we will be in Disney soon!! Mickey doesn't allow tornadoes to hit his house!!

Thanks for your well wishes. Power was restored about 1:00 pm. We spent the afternoon at my parents' place. I actually was able to watch the news and see what's been going on. The drive to and from was awful. Took me nearly 2 hours to get there as opposed to the normal 1/2 hour. There is a church less than 1/2 mile from us that has many, many trees down. Large, OLD trees. Hundreds of years old. They are twisted and mangled. I've never seen anything like it. More storms rolling in as I type. Charging all of the familily's iDevices, as well as the MiFi. Better safe than sorry LOL
