Who is going to be there this weekend?

Isn't it fun knowing you'll be going to DL in a couple days?

Friday I'll be in the park welcoming the Haunted Mansion back... I'll keep my eyes peeled for DIS peeps!

We just planned this trip spur of the moment last night and I can't belive we will be there on Saturday!!!

Hey, Bumbershoot -

I'll be there after 1-ish. :) They had better open it on time.... And I hope I love HM-the-real-one more than I did (or didn't) HMH! :upsidedow

Oh it is really just the best ride ever! I'm not a huge fan of the Nightmare stuff but it's OK... Now the ride as it's usual self? Just the most immersive and fun ride of all-time and very few changes from the ride I enjoyed as a kid. WDW's HMH is very cool, I was able to go on it completely by myself on Christmas night a few years ago... We were staying in the resort for the holidays for a week and everyone in my family was totally tired from a long Christmas day but I couldn't stop knowing MK would be empty that night so I took the ferry over to Epcot, went in and jumped on the Monorail and went over to MK... Sure enough for about two hours the whole park was a ghost town and going on HMH I honestly was able to go on totally solo more than once... It was very memorable! Just walking in and going through the ride totally solo (nobody in the ride except CMs and GHOSTS) is so much fun as you can kinda scare yourself! I've been able to do this at DL too but the chilly Christmas night solo trip into the Haunted Manor at MK was a special treat for this Haunted Mansion... (nut) enthusiast! Oh by the way have I expressed how much I love the HM rides?? ha ha

I'll see you with our other 999 friends at my home away from home! :woohoo:

Well, the weather channel says rain through Monday; I think they're predicting 1/2 - 1" for Saturday. At least it may keep the crowds down for the weekend. If we see you, we'll say hello! What's a good meal without a good wine - or two? We've come to the conclusion that staying over increases our chances of continuing to enjoy DL; it's the Anabella again this time. Walkable from the parks and - unlike Disney - they'll book a single weekend night.

Just remember to check your boarding pass for your seat assignment on Alaska. It's one of our favorite airlines. We'll be flying AK to Cabo later in February. What we really like is that unsold first class cabin seats are available to coach passengers for $50/segment. We always try to check in early to take advantage of their policy. Cabo, for instance, isn't that far away, but it's a lot more comfy in a first class seat than in coach! pixiedust:

m4travel, I liked the Anabella! And you'll be there at the same time as all the micechat gumball-ralliers. :)

Good to know about the upgrade. Not sure I'll feel the need on the hop up to Seattle, especially since I'm shrimpy and don't really have a leg-room issue on just about any flight, but it's good to know. I have forgotten, though, about the envy that hits while walking through 1st class...I'm suddenly remembering seeing first a bright yellow and red/orange bag in a bin, then looking at the 1st class passengers I was walking by and seeing the person it belonged to, Hulk Hogan. This was in the late 80s so it meant more then. :upsidedow

Now if only I can get everything done today that needs to be done!

Bumber, I hope we run into each other this weekend. And I hope you really enjoy your solo time at the Land!! Sounds like you've earned it!! It's going to be weird for me too, no kids for this trip. This is just me, my DBF, my BFF and her DBF. We are going to have such fun!!

My kids are off Monday too! We hopefully will be heading down Sunday for an overnight through Monday... What school district are you in...? We are in Simi. I was hoping only our had the day off! :rotfl: that way the parks would be less crowded Monday! Add the wonderful weather we have this week and maybe it will be empty!

We are in Clovis Unified (Fresno). I'm thinking most schools don't have Monday off. I know ours is just a teacher's inservice day and the big school district in the area isn't out. I think with the rain on top of it all, we will have the run of the park on monday:thumbsup2
