We are headed to Disneyland for the first time August 7th to the 12th! Can't wait to get there. We've been in Arizona for almost a week now and will be headed out shortly. Never been to Disneyland before but I am an avid Disney World goer. This will be my kids first ever disney trip.

We arrived on Tuesday and are having a grand time! Not too bad for crowds in the morning ( especially MM) but both parks get pretty crowded midmorning until early evening. We haven't gotten to see WOC fully yet as the fastpass lineup has been pretty long both days we walked by it. But we were able to see a bit of it while waiting in line for TSM and it looks and sounds fantastic. I plan to line up at the GCH entrance into DCA tomorrow to get into the fast pass line early. Hope it won't be too long a wait!

Hi! I was surprising my son with a trip at the end of this month until I had to tell him about it. He was at DL this week with a friend and wanted a jacket but I kept telling him to wait I even said we might go this month, but he bought the jacket anyway and I had to tell him we are going for sure and made him return the jacket, I wanted to be sure he had enough $$ for the rest of the week on his vacation. BOYS! Well at least he doesnt know that we are going to an Angels game too! (something he really wants to do)

So our dates are:
8/27-8/29 staying at Holiday Inn Anaheim

(name your own price on Priceline but of course Hojo opened up these dates after I was already locked into HIA) oh wellll at least we are going to DL!

Thanks Barbi, I am sure we will. I have some surprizes in store for the group. Last year I did a daily blog, we will see what this year turns. I am sure the Villas will be impressive.

I am so excited, leaving tomorrow! (But won't arrive in to DL until Saturday.)
It will be the first time I have been at my favorite place on earth on my birthday, plus staying at my favorite hotel GCH. We will be celebrating 3 bdays while we are there too so it should be a very fun time.

we're leaving tomorrow also...heading to the airport tonight since we have an early flight tomorrow. Arriving in San Diego for a few nights before we head to Anaheim on Sunday. I feel so unprepared for this trip! I usually hyper plan our WDW trips, use Tour Guide Mike, ADR's everyday etc etc but I have not been able to plan as much for this trip. I am going to try and run a few plans on Ridemax before we go just to get an idea of a park game plan.

For those who will be going soon, have a great trip! We just got back and it was a blast. There were actually some relatively cool days - bring a sweater for early am and late pm. On Thu (I think), the high was only 78 due to early morning clouds that did not burn off until 10 or 11. I certainly wished we had brought more pants instead of all the shorts we packed . Ths shuttle driver said it was unusual to have "May gray" and "June gloom" in August.

Glad to hear you had a great trip and thanks to for the weather reminders. I think our week coming up will be a lot hotter. They are calling for it to be 84 on Monday and get one degree cooler each of following days. My crew will be happy since they want to swim but I would rather have the 70s like you did.

I am starting to pack so it was a good reminder to throw in sweatshirts and long pants. Do you think the little girls need sweatpants late at night or will jeans be warm enough?

Just picked up the Anaheim forcast and it says the highs will be in the low to mid 90's, AM in the 60-70 with morning clouds.

Thanks Jack! I know you like it hot but I will be ROASTING with those temps. I had weather.com on my screen and it says the hottest will be Monday at 84 but I just checked wunderground and sure enough, they are saying 90s! Geez, how can they be 10 degrees different!? Good thing I look at these boards especially when packing so I know to throw in a lot more shorts and tanks.

Hmmm... NOAA, AccuWeather, and Weather Channel give a range among them of 84 to 88 for Tuesday (when we arrive) and high 70s to low 80s by the time we leave on Sat., Aug. 21. I notice Wunderground had low 90s for "inland" by midweek, but I'm not sure how far inland that is.

Oh well, we'll see which is right. I'm fine either way. Anything in the 80s or low 90s would be cooler by then than where I live, which is forecast to be 97 on Tuesday.
