Pictures continue to make me even more excited, Jack! Thanks so much.

We're getting really close to leaving, though I'm starting to think the universe is conspiring to keep me from Disney :/

-We went camping all last weekend, just getting back last night-so have two days to clean up from that and pack for our 2 day road trip down. My teenager started practicing driving on our camping property-and drove our car into a ditch. It seems to be running ok, but we have to get it up on a lift today to make sure there wasn't any damage. Ugh.

-My husband applied for a job at the university at the end of May-they just called wanting to interview August 6th, right in the middle of our trip. Fortunately, they want to do a video interview (it's an IT manager position), so he should be able to do that no problem from a laptop in our hotel room, or from his alma mater, University of Redlands, which is close to DL.

-our housesitter cancelled at the last minute. I think I found someone new, but argh!

-And now my Ridemax download won't work!

I know it will all be fine-just need to keep soldiering through, and perhaps add a shot of Jack Daniels to my morning cup of coffee here.

A spur of the moment solo trip 8/12-8/14 at the Tropicana.


DH thinks I'm nuts to fulfill my need for a break with DL. Sure there will be a gazillon kids and families, but I am not responsible for any of them! Ride and eat what I want, when I want!

Wanted to give an update on the parks. There are lots of photopass photographers out in the parks. DCA has plenty of characters out for photos during the night..pretty cool! CL is wonderful. Loved RSR, but make sure you get the FP first. You must try FLo's V-8 Cafe. The food was wonderful. We are going back for dinner again tonight! Both parks are very crowded so have a plan in place. The weather is heavenly, no need for jackets at night! If anyone has questions, shoot away..

Laundry of course still going and packing in full swing (again) after being at Lake Pend Oreille all weekend. Finished a killer day at work , an unexpected trip to the Doc for my son (poison oak) and misc errands including pick up RX.
Gads...there is still a lot to do!
So excited to get down there and spend this time in my favorite place with all my kids!
ps my nephew just got engaged at DL to one of their PhotoPass photographers.

I have heard that Flo's is good and there is a nice seating area that overlooks RSR I think. My family will definitely be eating a meal there. It's counter service right? Have you been to WOC and did you do a dining package? I will be there in less than two weeks and still thinking about what is best to do. We are DL first timers! Thanks for the live update!!

I will be visiting from August 18 to 25. It's my first time after 32 years . I will be having a split stay with 2 nights at FFI, 2 nights at PPH and 3 nights at DLH. Lots of packing and unpacking to do!

I enjoy doing the thread, maybe gives folks a better idea of the parks. We could not get into DVC this year, I have rented points in the past so now I can not wait to stay at the DLH it will be something different again.
