Who is going in august/when/where

I think we'll be there Aug 4-11, though still playing with dates a little to see if we can get better hotel rates. Probably Portofino-least expensive suites in walking distance. Driving from Oregon-my first time making the drive. May stop in SF for a couple days as the kids have never been there. 7 day park hoppers. Cannot wait!!!!

Oh, and since I haven't booked-would July crowds be better? I assumed they'd be the same but can change if I'm wrong.

The drive is an easy in my opinion. We are August people most part due to our work schedules. Summer is always busy but doable, warm weather, heavy afternoon crowds, lightens up after the fireworks. Have fun.

We will be there Aug 17-25 celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary!

We will be there Aug 25th to Sept 3rd! Celebrating Mom's 60th birthday! Oh and we are staying in a 2br at VGC.

DH & I :wave2: 31 July to 10 August!!! Marriott Fairfield Inn...

Soooooooo excited. Will be there after 1 week in NY, then a few days in LA... then the happiest place on earth ::yes::

What kind of plans are you guys making? I'm excited to have teenagers this year who will stay out until park close (and grandparents to watch the toddler). My oldest is really looking forward to WOC, we were going to do Ariel's dinning package but I guess we'll have to see what's available closer to booking time.

I'm really looking forward to seeing all of the new stuff in CA, and I have a Cars fanatic who will be turning 3 at the park! I can't wait for him to see Cars Land. My niece will be turing 6 while we're there too, so she'll get the BBB treatment (of course ;) ).

I just can't wait to be able to wander through and soak it all in. I'm really striving for staying relaxed and not being stressed over crowds, we'll get to it all eventually. :)

Add me and DW (Thumper_Man's Wife) to the list. We'll be going Aug. 25th.-Sept. 1st. We'll be staying at a timeshare (Worldmark - Discovery Cove). DW and I will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. This will be our first trip to DL, together as a couple. It's been years since I've last been to DL, DCA wasn't even around then. I don't even think it was thought of at that point. :rotfl: We've been to WDW 2 times and will take a 3rd trip to WDW in December. You would think we would go to DL more often since we live closer to DL than WDW. We're hoping to change that in the future.

I think I read no more WOC AG dining after 6/15. We make all of our travel reservations and such and wait until 60 days out to schedule dining and the like. We are hoping to be able to enjoy club 33 again/maybe the new eating place in the CC Theater, my be BB, etc. I am trying find info on the ABD tour of the Burbank studios but not coming u with virtually anything I can put my teeth to..more planning when we get to June.

Thank Goodness for travel package insurance. I have to get you to change my dates on here Blackjackdelta! I had to cancel and rebook due to personal conflicts. Although the days are only a day apart I am now

August 25th - September 2nd at the Tropicana Inn & Suites

Not positive yet, but it will be either in May or August. If it is August, I can only hope it will not be hot and humid like it was during my first August trip to the land. :faint: OMG!

~~ I love you Phil and you will forever be with me! Forever my very best and most special friend! I love you to no end. ~~

You read that correctly. No more WOC dinner package at AG with the addition of character dining on June 15.

Yep, I did see that. We were going to do Ariel's but now are waiting to see what our options will be.

Just added DD for 3 nights of our week and adding my 2 older boys for the same days! All 5 kids with me for at least part of the trip! Raise em up right and they will still wanna go to DLand with you (yet again!). I am so blessed! Really looking forward to BWPPI.

We will be ordering Vons for most of our foodems but want to plan on Brennans in DD for banana foster tableside dessert and also looking forward to chillen at Tangeroa Terrace for appetizers one afternoon.

We plan on one character meal but haven't decided on which one. We have only ever done Goofys Kitchen.

Jack, I have really appreciated your August pics! I call them motivation! I have an early am pic of AdventureLand uncrowded and an early afternoon pic totally packed. Also ROA pics same times. They are what I use to get myself and my sleepy teenager/young adults going early in the am.

Waiting a bit to get RideMax for some planning help. Hopefully, they will have a bit of time to see how CarsLand (Yippee!) will figure into the mix.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Getting more excited as the trip gets closer and options come together. My husband said to me that he was hoping that this would be a "relaxing" trip. I asked him what relaxing meant to him, and he said not having to get up and out the door early in the morning. I said that relaxing for me is getting to ride a lot when it's cool and relatively uncrowded, instead of getting to the park at 11 when it's a madhouse. My perfect plan: Girls and I get up early and go, and he shows up with our toddler whenever he wants :).

Trying to decide which character meal. We did the Askershus princess meal at our last WDW trip, so my kindergartner is willing to consider other options.
