211 days for us! It's official! Just got my booking confirmation! Oct 28-Nov 1 at Aulani and then a 7 day cruise around the islands! I can't believe it!!! I never thought I'd get to stay at Aulani, but renting DVC points made it affordable. I can't wait!

I am here now and just a few items. Not sure if anyone saw this mentioned but the stairs to the slides were being fixed so there were some issues sharing one side for both slides. This is now fixed and both are open. The starlit hui was Sunday and Tuesday while we have been here and guessing they will go Thursday as well but this is different than the prior schedule. We got here on Friday and they have only shown two movies which were the hunchback on Friday and jungle book which will play tomorrow. Have fun whoever is next!!

We also had the Hui on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Movies were Hunchback and Hercules (surprised by the selections but nice to see movies we hadn't seen in awhile). Nothing scheduled on Saturday night on the lawn.

OMG, I'm not the only one! We are down to 49 days, and I have a laundry basket that I've deemed the "Hawaii" basket. I've started tossing things in that need to be packed. It's not long until the first suitcase comes out.

Yeah! I can't believe you waited until now to get air. I'd be a nervous wreck!! Lol! Did you get a good deal? Maybe I'm doing things the wrong way and just need to have patience!

I know for our flights...they just keep going up..on all airlines.
I would book as soon as you can for the best rate.

We booked our DVC room right at the 7 month window and then started watching airfares. They didn't budge for 5 months and paying $1300 pp would not have been feasible for us. Then, shortly after Christmas (just over 2 months from our trip) prices dropped dramatically. We changed our departure airport to get fares for 1/2 price what they had been and suddenly seats were magically available using our FF miles when none had been available previously. We ended up having to adjust our days on both ends of the trip but got our flights for $5 each using miles (fare would have been $700 round-trip otherwise).

It has been driving me crazy. I was waiting to see if daughter was joining us and then they got too high. I have to tell you I was losing my mine. They wanted 1,400 dollars for the R/T with 2 stop overs. I decided to try Priceline for a few days, no luck, Then on tuesday night i decided to call the airlines and AA gave me a price $200 less then the internet with great times and only one stop so I grabbed them. Was it cheap, NO but it was cheaper then I have been finding. 1,191.00 per person. I know that is really high but we are going the forth of July week, traveling on the weekend and coming home on the 5th. Did I know I shouldn't book the hotel for those days, yes but my daughter works for a school and that is her week off. So everything that I could do wrong I did, but I am going to Hawaii.
