What the heck is a "deep" tattoo?

Apparently, the tattoos are very meaningful.



My appointment went ok (I'm 32 weeks today). It took forever though, so I didn't go back to work. I gained a little weight and my blood pressure was fine. The non-stress test went well. It was funny, the doctor came in and said that there was no need to use the alarm (to wake the baby up). If the baby isn't moving, they have a Tinkerbell alarm clock they use.

I just returned from Target, and the place was a madhouse. They had 2 full aisles of toys at 75% off. People were filling up their carts, some even had 2 cartfuls! I picked up a few things that were deeply discounted and got a head start on birthdays & maybe even next Xmas. Got Lyzzie this IM-me thing she wants, it's a portable text messenger that can wirelessly link up to the PC and she can use it to instant message her friends on any IM system. It was $70 but I got it for $15. Also got her this remote control robotic pet thingy that can "learn" tricks - down to $12 from $85. I got a game for Emma's new LeapFrog computer for under $5 instead of about $30. Ridiculous! Every year I say, we should do Christmas a few weeks late. Just think of the $$ I'd save! I can never bring myself to actually do it though.

That's all. I just had to share my good deals. I tried to tell my mom, but she just said, "Throw it on the floor and see how it looks there, because that's where it'll end up." Then she asked me if all my bills are getting paid. Once again - thanks Mom. :rolleyes

Well I went to the doctor's today.

I had such a bad day yesterday.

So after my doctors appt I went to the mall. Got myself new jeans, a new sweater, some make-up from Sephora and some birthday gifts for Lilly from the Disney Store.

Matt's feeling pretty good. He was asked tonight to start practicing with the Varsity 2 days a week. I don't think they want to pull him up, but it's good practice for him to play with kids who are better than he is. He is one of the better kids on JV. Challenging yourself is always good.

I had my aunt's stocking from when she was a child. It's really the only thing I have that was given to me that was her's that someone in my family didn't demand back . I kept it in the attic, the roof leaked and ruined it. I was heartbroken. I washed it and still have it, but it's not the same. Hope your feeling better!

Ashley: Hmmm that picture does look familiar. Sorry I'm such a dope sometimes! Yep, our trip is getting pretty close. Emma looks at our countdown Mickeys and says, "Not so many days now!" Even as bad as she's been feeling, she is still looking forward to going and seeing Minnie Mouse. The hospital had some Disney window clings in the hallway windows and she perked up a little bit when we walked by (they were on the way to the bathroom so we walked by them a LOT) and after a couple trips, she started pointing them out to my mom. It was really cute! I'm getting SO excited but nervous that we'll still be sick. I've already started packing!! I can't wait to fill up my new Tink carryon bag, I've got a few surprises for the kids tucked in there already.

Linda...Welcome back! It sounds like your DGF had many people in his life. I've been to funerals that the funeral home makes the DVD and gives it to the family but never had it for others to purchase. I think that is sweet.

I'm not sure if the proceeds went toward the funeral or how it worked but it was very discreet. I wouldn't have known you could purchase anything if I hadn't picked up the dvd case and read the back of it! It said that additional copies may be purchased for $25, just ask personnel for a copy. I thought it was great. Esp. those old pics you've never seen and you know are hard to get a copy of to begin with! My mom said she really wished they had that for my grandma (her mom). That would have been really nice. Esp. when you have a big family. Splitting up pics. isn't easy!!! Esp. when she had 12 kids! thankfully w/technology these days, its not near as bad!

My mom said the nurse was very rude, and kept asking, "What do you expect we'll be able to do for her? If she was just at Urgent Care, why are you bringing her in?" Um... because the dr. told us to follow up with you, numbskull!

Linda: We missed you! I have never heard of funeral homes making dvds - what a nice thing to have. I'm not sure I like the idea of selling candles and stuff though - who'd have ever thought you need to bring your checkbook to a funeral?

I'd never seen it either, but it was very discreet and you wouldn't notice unless you were REALLY looking. we were there the whole time for both showings and the funeral. It was really nice! For $25, I thought it was well worth it. Otherwise, I'm sure I'd never get to see any of those pics again. My mom thought it was great b/c then Kenny could have it. I guess I'm just a nut when it comes to pics as it is

the headaches and the nausea?? I truly thought I was going to yak last night - i had the trash can by the bed. I'd be happy if the stupid headaches wouldn't come.

oh yes...except I did yak sorry, tmi! headaches, sinus pressure, nausea. I thought the nausea was from my sinus constantly draining. That is what Kennys dr said about his belly hurting. his sinus would drain and sit on his belly and make him feel sick. that is exactly how I felt. I finally started taking claritin 12 and that seemed to really help. Sat. I woke up w/a headache. Sometimes it just gets so bad that I am relieved when I finally do get sick b/c it relieves all the pressure and my head feels much better. Of coarse I was crying Sat. morning when I got the call about my grandpa. We went to the hospital and it just never seemed to go away. we were there by 10am...then we went to my aunts house to visit w/them for awhile. that ended up being most of the day. I had such a headache but kept taking otc hoping it would go away. well, my aunt has 2 dogs. I'm allergic to dogs. she put them outside, but my head felt like it was going to burst! we went home and of coarse, I got sick. The bad part is Kenny...he's like "did you toss your cookies on your keyboard" BOYS I hope you start feeling better soon!!!!

HE is something else! Yeah, it was the claritin D. It sure helped me. I'm sure it was allergy/sinus problems for me. Plus once Mike got that mess out of the basement, we started feeling better. Might be coincidence...but I'll take it! Hope something helps soon
