Errrr!!! A different person called me from the Drs office. She said that I need to go into the school and demand my child be tested. Um thanks for that bit of info.....WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK I'VE BEEN DOING!!!!! She again told me just because the ins co says something doesn't mean it's so. It's not medically necessary so no referal. When the heck would speech and language fall under a medical necessity? However if left long enough I can see where it would fall under mental health because a child would become so depressed they are having a difficult time in school and no one is willing to help!!! She is now calling the insurance for a 5th time. I am so angry right now I could just scream!

We play a game similar to Screw your neighbor, it's left right center. It is played with dice. It's really fun and it's something that the kids can play. We teach them young to gamble in this family! We're giving Lilly another few months and then we'll start teaching her!

I was looking at Britt yesterday and I think she grew about 3in overnight! She was wearing pants that I swear she wore a few weeks ago and they fit her fine, now they are major floods! Dh measured her and she is exactly the same height as me, 5'5. The great thing is, I can wear her clothes now , well not her pants . I've got a whole new wardrobe, and it's the cool stuff! I have on her Abercrombie shirt right now, I'm waiting for her to get home and see what she says. I figure she's been wearing my stuff and using my makeup, now it's my turn.

I forgot, Britts so excited. She gets her braces off in 2 weeks, a full year earlier than first expected.

Lesa - Oh, sorry - I didn't realize that the ins company had called the Dr.'s office. That's crazy... they've called the Dr.'s office, told them they WOULD pay, and still the dr.'s office still says they won't pay. I guess that makes sense, seeing as the employees of the doctor's office WORK FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANY (sorry, just venting for you here...) and know more than the insurance company employees do!?!? That's just stupid.

Lyzzie is weird -- she figures she'll probably need braces someday and is already excited about it and picking out what color rubber bands she wants. Sometimes I wonder where this child came from.

Yeah for Brittany getting her braces off early! I had braces TWICE. The first time, it was to correct my underbite. Well, the braces fixed that, but made my teeth crooked. So, a year later, I had to get braces put back on. I did get clear ones that time and hardly anyone knew I even had them.

twice...wow..I've never had them. My mom was too darn cheap, but you'll have that. I have looked into it...but I'd rather spend that $ on a cruise or something

They just called back, and they are going to give me a referal for the evaluation.

She said after talking to the insurance co and the medical group, that this falls outside the norm for them giving an evaluation, but they will do it this one time. (these eyes don't roll far enough)She said they will get around it by saying it's an evaluation. Isn't that what I've been asking for?!?!?! She said after that she is to get the help through the school because they won't give a referral for the therapy. Whatever! At least I will have the test done and won't have keep waiting for the school while they drag their feet some more!

Thanks guys for making me feel better and helping me calm down so I could talk like a rational person!

on facebook you can poke people...I haven't used the poke yet, I dont' think but I've used superpoke where you can use smilie type things..I'll check it out. You can send messages, post on their wall, all kinds of cool stuff. It should show on the right side as you scroll down the things you've added and done... it's pretty fun!

Lesa- I cracked up when you said you were wearing Britt's Abercrombie shirt! I can't wear my mom's clothes, or my sister's If Britt has to wear a retainer afterwards, make sure she wears it. I didn't, and my bottom front teeth became crooked again! My orthodontist was so ticked(and so were my parents, for spending all that money!) ! That's great news for Maddie!!! It's about time!

When I had Nathan at the drs. office Monday, the nurse commented that Nathan had grown 5 1/2inches and gained 27lbs since last February!! I was like "WHAT!!" It turns out it was actually since Feb.2006.


I'm so glad I came home to hear such good news from Lesa and Nicole.
