Happy Saturday morning, everyone!!!:sunny:

I'm going to get ready soon to head into town to do some grocery shopping and check on the equipment installation at the cleaners.

We'll have to leave around 12:30 to take Nathan to another game today. His team may have to play again this evening; depending on whether they win or lose.

How about a nice chocolate drizzled donut for breakfast this morning?

I hope you all have a Super Saturday!!:)

Yum...thanks for the donut! Hope everthing goes well with your new equipment. Good luck Nathan!:cheer2:

Hi YM!!

No, not really. He walked by and I said hi. He stopped and shook my hand. I told him I was a big fan. He asked ME what MY name was. We talked about the reasons we were there at the hospital. Then a whole lot more people came up and I just walked away.

He seems to be just a very nice guy.

I sure hear that he's a nice guy. If I ever run into him I'll probably just stand there and stare. :rotfl2:

So.....HisMajesty was in BA last night?

Yep...he took the boys. Actually, my oldest went with his cousin and then home with dad. He's really into football after playing this year. He even will get up in the morning and turn on ESPN. It's kinda cute.

And Trisha might come over and smack you!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm kidding.....

Well...hopefully she will be at home when I have my 'chance' meeting! :lmao:

Oh yeah....we have something in common!:woohoo:  :woohoo:

Can you believe the man lives less than 10 miles from me and his Xwife lives in my neighborhood and I've never ever never ever never ever ever ever seen the guy. People see him all the time at Walmart and the grocery store (Reasors...for my OK friends) but noooooooooooooooo it wasn't meant to be.:rolleyes1 :sad2: :sad1:
If I lived that close I would have been arrested for stalking by now....:rolleyes1 When we would drive to TX from MN I would take a picture of the Yukon WaterTower every single time.

I met him once at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Actually stopped and talked to him for about 5 minutes.
That is soooooooooooo cool. I might have passed out at his feet.

I love me some Garth! I went and checked out his video on YouTube, its very different. My high school theatre teachers son wrote that song. Kyle Jacobs is the really cute one in all the press release photos from the party when the record went platinum. I keep telling her to hook me up....

Well, my mom and dad are going to come and help me paint at the school today. I hope we get something decent accomplished!!!!

Hey kids! All the Garth talk - never met him either but used to play music occassionally with the woman who used to play bass for him - his half sister. One of my close friends in common w/ the sister met and spent some time with him, and heard he was a really nice guy. That's cool you met him and he chatted with you, Pozey.

So HisMajesty was in BA at the game, huh? Not far from me! I didn't go, but certainly could hear it. Congrats to the "other" team.

So, due to my dad's Christmas present, I've gotten myself in a project that is WAY too big. After much pondering, I'm doing a photo memory book for him for Christmas. The site that I use for my photo storage has a book that gives me a lot of customization options - it'll be like a nice coffee table book - all glossy pages, can add text, just gorgeous. I am going back as far as I possibly can - his childhood pics, WWII, mine and my sister's baby/child pics, our weddings, our kids, all kinds of stuff. Problem is, that I have hundreds of photos that are film. Archiving is available but it would cost me a fortune. So I'm trying to decide if I want to invest in a scanner or just re-shoot them digitally. Dad's supposed to send me CDs of photos (for a school project for Erin - I invoked the granddaughter clause), and my sister has boxes at her house. I have a great scaner available at work but I have to WORK. no time.

But, I've decided to go ahead and get EVERYTHING I have on film converted and burned to disc. It's going to take me months.

In experimenting this morning, this is a digital reproduction - I shot the original w/ the digital. One of my favorite photos EVER.

What a cute picture DznyFan! It came out really well for a picture of a picture.

You guys are all going to kill me, but I wouldn't know Garth Brooks if he hit me over the head. I've had friends try to get me into his music, telling me it's not country-ish country but it still just doesn't appeal to me.

We are having a nice quiet day today, just staying at home. I'm doing the never-ending hateful chores (laundry, dishes, cleaning up cat poo) and the kids are glued to the tvs. We watched Coneheads this morning and now Lyzzie is walking around talking in a robot voice and trying to use big words. It's pretty cute. She just asked me, "May I watch television in your bedchamber? I will enjoy it."

I'm driving the kids crazy by telling them we're going somewhere fun tomorrow but it's a secret. I've told them that it has animals and is not the zoo or the farm, and they're completely stumped. Emma gets mad and says, "It can't be a secret anymore!" (It's the circus, for those who were wondering.) We're taking my parents and we will all be riding there in the Cwoooozah!

You know Pozey...your're ok.;) He'll be staring and paging securtiy...:rotfl2:
I hope you get to see Garth Brooks one day, without the armed guards!!!:lmao:

That is so cool!!:thumbsup2

Hi Donna...sorry Nathan's team didn't win but good news on the improvement. Sounds like it was a close game. Yum...I've been wanting some pizza this week....maybe tomorrow.:rolleyes1

He made a basket today and played really well; as did the other kids. The league he is on is Pee-Wee and they have to allow all kids that want to play, play. Some are pretty good and some really don't have a clue, but at least all the kids are getting the opportunity to play.

Hey!! My pizza last night was delicious!!!

Good morning!

Thanks for the breakfast Donna!:upsidedow

It sounds like Nathan's team did really well! :cheer2: I'm sorry they lost, and at the very last second too! :guilty: Tell him good luck tonight, we'll be cheering him on!!!

My baby had to go early this morning and take a placement test for high school. :sad2: I can't believe how fast this time is going.:sad1: I told her she has to work hard to do well and not just play connect the dots. She did that last year on the ISAP test and she scored really low in reading comprehension, which by the way she is very good at. She got bored doing the test and just started filling in dots. I got a letter the other day she was recommended for tutoring in reading comprehension because of her low test score.:lmao:

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Thanks!! Nathan really appreciates the cheering section!! Actually, his honey plays on the team!!

I can't believe Brittany is taking the high school placement test! Connect the dots??? NOT a good idea!!!:scared:

DznyFan:: Sounds like you are going to be busy with the photo book!! The picture of Erin with her mouse ears is so adorable!!!

Lin:: Don't work to hard at school today! I think you may have some good help!!!:woohoo:

Well, we are going back to another game at 5:30. Nathan's team is playing for 5th place.
I think Nathan's buddy Nick is going to spend the night with us, so I'll probably spend the evening Dising,:rolleyes1

I hope you all are having a great weekend!!!

lyzziesmom:: :rotfl: I'm cracking up over Lyzzie being a Conehead!!! Geesh...that takes me back a few years!!!:cool2:

I need to do some more housecleaning, too. I figure I can wait until Nathan's friend leaves tomorrrow.:rolleyes1

Have fun going to the circus in the Cwoooozah!:teeth:

Hey Donna...once again we missed each other. Thanks for your support...no armed guards.:lmao: I think you should be in the middle of Nathan's game right now! Have fun with the sleepover...I dread each and every one.:rolleyes1 Not that it stops me from having them.;)

Hi everyone!

Well I have exciting news. We booked a cruise to go on during Christmas. Jeremiah and I wanted to do something fun for Christmas, and at first thought of Disney (of course!) but the guilt got to us about not seeing family, so we are flying to Florida Dec 19, going on the cruise Dec 20-24, (I thought that was a good amount of time just in case I end up hating it!) then spending time with family on the 24th and 25th and flying home the 26th. We've never been on a cruise before, so we are excited! It's going to the Bahamas and Key West, and we've never been to either! We compromised, and are doing something we want without upsetting people too much!

We went shopping tonight at Kohls and Jeremiah got a new suit and a couple shirts and ties, and I got 2 new dressy shirts. I just need a dress for formal night and Jeremiah is going to rent a tuxedo. I can't wait, but I hope I don't get too seasick! We are going on Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday!

Hey Ashley, that will be soooo much fun! We went on Royal Caribbean this summer and it was wonderful. I will tell ya, I think I saw about 5 men in tuxes for formal night, and they were all quite a bit older than we are, older than my FIL even. Chris and Andrew wore nice suits.

Congrats Ashley on booking your cruise! Sounds like the perfect plan. There's lots of meds for the seasick stuff. I took some phenergan gel that you could rub on your wrist and some dramamine. :boat: :sail:

Thanks for the tip Lin, and very nice pics!! I've never been on a cruise before, so I'm pretty clueless. Maybe Jeremiah will just wear his suit for formal night then....

YM- Where can you get that gel?? I usually take draminine whenever we fly too..
