Pozey - just got in from dinner. I'm stuffed. It was really good, and really expensive. I know the smores chocolate was recommended, but I went with the pure chocolate - dark. pound cake dipped in hot dark chocolate.... amazing.

Cool!!

I've heard good things about it.....

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pound cake!!!

But.......I'm not a big dark chocolate kind of guy....I like milk chocolate....

Just your and the Hub tonight DznyFan? Or did you take Miss E along as well?

I (can, but choose not to) don't eat much milk, and rarely white - only dark for me. They had sliced rice krispy treats, little pound cake squares, graham cracker covered marshmallows, oreo covered marshmallows, little brownie squares (chocolate dipped in chocolate), bananas, strawberries and cheesecake on the dessert plate for the chocolate. The best were the bananas and the pound cake.

Howdy!

I hope everyone had a great day!

Dznyfan I hope you had a wonderful birthday dinner.

Ashley beautiful flowers!

Ym you have very handsome boys! They look very much like you!

I still have to find some batteries so I can download my pictures from yesterday. I forgot to tell you, Gracie dressed up as a devil! Of course it only lasted as long as it took to get her picture. :upsidedow

Have any of your kids ever said something that totally offended you, not that they meant to? Today when Maddie was getting ready for school we were talking about when she grows up. I asked what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said nothing. I told her she had to be something. Her response....."well your nothing"! :headache: :guilty: I know that's not what she meant, but it was the first time I felt like a failure because I'm a SAHM. :sad1:

Nah, just the 2 of us. Rehearsal for her, and she's still under the weather. Sad she couldn't go though.

Good evening Lesa.

How are you?

YYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

Bananas & pound cake...........OH BABY!!!

Dznyfan...Your dinner sounds really good and I would have love the dark chocolate and pound cake. I really have to go there one of these days, I just hate spending that much on a meal!:scared:

Hi, Lesa!

Awww.... I'm sorry you felt bad about what Maddie said. You, as a SAHM are NOT worthless!! You guys work as hard as anybody, regardless of what some people (and I don't mean Maddie) think. Why people think SAHM moms don't work is beyond me. And, no, you're not nothing - you're a MOM! :grouphug:
Sometimes their little mouths just work faster than their little brains....

Miss E -- that's what I call Lyzzie sometimes (since she is Elyzabeth), and once in a while Emma. Usually if they are mouthing off or acting "princessy," and I don't mean in the sweet, kind Disney princess way!

I don't think I mentioned it, but I had Emma's preschool parent-teacher conference today over my lunch hour. It was great! Her teacher just adores her (who wouldn't?) and said she's doing great, she communicates very well and isn't a bit shy (translation: the kid never shuts up!). She said she is a little bit of a tattletale too! Funny story -- her classroom is also used for an afternoon class of 4-yo's. The teacher has yellow cards velcroed to the wall with the morning class's activities on each card. The other class uses purple cards. Emma's teacher said that sometimes she forgets to remove one of the purple cards and Emma calls her on it EVERY time!
"Mrs. B, what's that purple card?"
"I don't know Emma Rose, what was it last time?"
"It's for the 4 year old's music. You need to put it away." Stinker!

At times I wasn't sure we were talking about the same kid. All the little misbehaviors we work on at home, she doesn't even do at preschool! Her teacher said she is very bright and knows a lot more than even some of the older kids. I had no idea -- Emma won't tell me a thing about what goes on in preschool, she just says, "I don't know." I'm so proud of the little booger.

Oh, please don't ever say you are a failure. Never. You are a wonderful mother of 2 beautiful girls. That makes you a success.

Lesa, I'm so sorry Maddie said that :sad1: I don't think she meant it that way, but I can totally understand how hurt you feel!!

DznyFan, I'm glad you had a good dinner...I'm not much for dark chocolate though :scared: I loved all the stuff they brought out to dip it in, it was soooo good!!! Now I'm craving some!

Awww, Lyzziesmom, that's just so awesome. You have every right to be proud.
BTW - how's Petie tonight?

Thank you! :thumbsup2

I guess I'm just hardcore that way - dark chocolate, and I drink my coffee black! :rotfl:

Oh! And I had a glass of wine, too!

Lesa: Oh girl, I feel your pain. I'm sure Maddie didn't mean anything hurtful with what she said, sometimes kids just don't think. (And some of them never grow out of that *coughmomcough*.) Lyzzie used to be fond of saying, "How nice for you." For example, I'd mention that I accomplished ______ and she'd answer "oh how nice for you." She actually meant it was nice and she was happy for me, but there's just NO way to say it without sounding like a complete snotface! I must admit, I've borrowed that one a time or two. But the first time she said it, she was about 4 and it really hurt, I thought she was being obnoxious and I flashed forward to the teen years! Scary!!

Oops, I didn't notice how late it's getting. I need to go watch some tv before bed (how nice for me!) -- my dvr is full and if I don't watch anything, something will get erased or not recorded and I hate that! And God forbid Dora doesn't get recorded, you guys will be able to hear the screaming fit across the country!

Ah, crud... I'm getting "the look". Guess I better get off here. Nite, kids, it was fun while it lasted!
