I was running around during swim practice tonight. Went to the mall.... Wanted to check out iPhones.....I'm considering getting one. Stopped by Sears. Just peaked in the Disney Store....

Then, had to go to Chili's to get a gift card. Then to Wal Mart for a couple things.

Picked up Mazzios on the way home.

I had DVR'd Charlie Brown, and the kids and watched that before they went to bed.

That's sweet that DBF is coming over to carve pumpkins with Miss E.....what a guy!!

yeah, DBF is quite a kid. We don't get to see him too much, this being the middle of marching band competition season. I miss having him around.

Well, it's pumpkin time for me.... my old, well-worn suede/lambswool slippers will turn into paper if I'm not in bed by 10:00 on a weeknight!!

Maddie was up part of the night and woke up this morning with a temp. So on top of her asthma she's sick which makes it much worse. This morning she asked her sister to pick her up a few pieces of candy when she trick or treats tomorrow. It was pitiful!!!

I've also had the crazy dog walking around the house every five minutes whining because she has a webkinz in her mouth that she stole. Somehow she got one off the top of the bookshelf. I can't figure out how on earth she gets up there to get it!

I also got an email this morning confirming Britt is on the Elite winter team. Now I have to go get a job just so my daughter can cheer!

When it's all said and done, we will have shelled out over $800 + competition fees! Then add in the tumbling fees....

Oh, I hope Maddie feels better soon. Poor gal. Congrats and Good Luck to Britt with her Elite team!

Lesa- That's not good!

My dad was driving around with an expired tag! It expired in Sept. and he realized it about 2 weeks later! Also when Steven and I had that hit and run earlier this month, Steven's insurance card expired a few days before and he forgot to put the new one in his glove box! But the cop was nice enough to not give him a ticket. He said "I'm not going to give you a ticket for this. The other guy hit you, it's not your fault." or something like that!

Oh my gosh, I forgot about that! That whole week after RenFest I hardly got online, and when I did I got to read the current page and never had time to post! How did that work out!? I felt so bad!

Oh crap. The car's going to cost me over $1500 and it won't be ready until the end of next week. We do trust the mechanic, it's a guy that my parents have used for several years and he does his best to save money and not do unnecessary work. He says the car is "an accident waiting to happen."

I just don't know what to do. It'll take me a year to pay that off.

That IS the cheaper way! He's using used parts... which is why I don't understand why it costs that much. But a new -- even just new-to-me -- car is not in my monthly budget at all, it's pretty tight as it is. And since the parts are used, I'm not even sure how long the fix is going to last. I don't want to have to go through this again in a year's time.

Sorry Nicole, Ashley, and whoever else was planning on it, but I won't be able to do the Vegas trip in the spring.

I feel like such a moron, I'm sitting here at work and I can't stop crying. I just recently got a good hold on my finances and have had no debt for quite a while, it seems like I just got everything together and now this -- but what else can I do? Sorry to unload on you guys, I'm just really crushed. I know $1500 might not be a lot of money to some people, but it's more than I ever have in the bank at one time. To put it in DIS terms, it's almost two WDW vacations.

You are not a moron, and you have every right to be bummed! Don't be hard on yourself. The fact that you can say you aren't in real debt, except to your parents, is amazing! We are here for you!

I did not get the job that I interviewed with a week or so ago with MetLife.
