Good Morning!
Donna -thanks for the spread... yummmm

Ashley - way to go on the extra $$ - what a great surprise pre-Disney!

I can't believe that backsplash was wallpaper! I thought you guys had tiled it - it looks great! Sorry to hear about your candle caper.

YourMajesty - I'm so glad Sophie is working out for you! Labs are wonderful dogs. Loved your pics of the boys - couple handsome men there!

Michele - the photos were great - since it doesn't look like we'll be out there before next May/June, I wonder if Jack Sparrow will still be there... How old are your kids? Are you dealing with three teenagers at once?? I saw the pic, and the boy on the left (Matt?) reminded me of the kid who is in High School Musical.

:grouphug: pixiedust: for all of your collective aches, pains, maladies, and surgeries.

 Hello to everyone!

Remember I mentioned that I was going to post the "mad teenager" photo (showing you that the rolling of the eyes and the heavy sighs and all doesn't go away as they get older)? Well, here is the "I'm mad and I don't WANT my photo taken in my formal dress!!!" photo. I find it good for a chuckle. Thank God she doesn't get like this very often.
P1010032.jpg

Usually she's in this mood before a show or other 'big' event.

Well, we didn't get the lake property. We submitted an offer that was ABOVE the seller's asking price, and we found out (after the fact) that the other interested party submitted ANOTHER offer that was significantly higher than ours that the seller accepted. I was a bit offended that we were not given the option to counter that 2nd offer from the 1st buyer - it would have turned into a bidding war, actually - and it seems a little unethical to me that the realtor called back and say the other buyer's second bid was accepted, and that's it - a done deal. As much as we're unhappy about not getting it, I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
DznyFan......that is a picture you have to keep handy just in case...... Sounds like she gets a little nervous before shows and/or events and gets stressed out.

Also, I'm sorry you didn't get the lake property. Which lake was it? But like you said, it just wasn't meant to be, and something better might come along in the future.

pozey...glad to hear your DD is doing well. Does she like green? It's so nice that she can get her cast wet. Where exactly did she break it? I just wanted to give her a hug when I saw her picture. :grouphug:
Yes, she is doing well. This week has been very stressful for her (as much stress as can be for a 3 year old). In addition to her broken arm, she started a new daycare this week. She had been going to an in-home daycare since she was 6 weeks old. But the lady retired. In fact, Courtney was the only child the lady had for the past couple of months. So, she has had to adjust to that as well.
And yes, she picked out the color green for her cast. I tried talking her into a pink one or another color, but she wanted green. They even had a real cute one that was pink, purple, blue, green, and yellow......nope......she wanted green.

DonnaLeah said:
POZEY::Your little Courtney is a doll!! I know I've said that before, but I'm sayin' it again!! She seems to be taking her broken arm in stride!! :grouphug: to her!!
Yeah, she must get that from me. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Thanks for the breakfast Donna!

Linda...I forgot to mention Kenny's picture...He's so sweet! Hope the rest of the week goes ok.

Dznyfan...I loved the picture of your DD...I was thinking maybe she stepped in something. :rotfl: Sounds like she is ready for a busy year. Sorry about the Lake property....darn.

2xcited...sorry I'm missed you last night. :guilty: I was typing and going to check back but I accidently hit the off button on my computer with my toe and thought that was a sign to go to bed. :rotfl: Today and tomorrow are my work days...yippee! oh...by the way "fruit is my friend"...i forgot mine today...i need a pep talk. :teeth:

Goodmorning to all :thumbsup2 :sunny:

Good Mornin'

Well, it is only Thursday, not Tuesday, but I have to work Saturday, so it is my Wednesday.

Hunh????

Whoa, if that doesn't confuse our Precious Pixie, I don't know what will. :teeth:

Hey YM---sorry I missed you last night--you must have posted right after I headed for sleepy land. Yes, reading and naps are good, and future trips--even better.
Good to hear Sophie is doing well with the family. I remember my dad always freaking out too that we didn't close the gate----now he has a little sign on their basement door to be sure to check the gate before letting their doggies out to potty. It really goes nicely with their decor. :teeth:

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Yay, I'm going to Disneyworld in EIGHT days....count em....EIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Get ready Lyzzie and Emma----we're gonna have FUN FUN FUN!!!

p.s. wallpaper?? really??? amazing what new fangled things they come up with. Do I sound 90?? It really looks great!!

Donna---OMG--I was thinking the same thing about the Miss America girls---I was wondering if there was a mistake on the T-shirts which should have said Miss Pre-teen. :rotfl2:

Oooh, lovely array for breakfast--can't go wrong here!!! I have to wait another hour though, because I just took some meds where I can't eat yet, so I will just look and not touch. Wow, you really worked hard this morning.

Sorry you cannot utilize the Tony's GC. Are you sure you can't go on $200?? When is your anniversary?? I'll ask around to see if this is feasible. I forgot to check out if they have a website. What a waste if you can't use it---yes I'm sure he was thinking nicely--but ???? what was he thinking??

I must run----I'll catch up tonight.

Have a good day everyone!!!

Donna--

YM---good morning glory--

Maybe if Sophie continues to get out of the fence----there's your jog. Voila!

see ya!!

I love my doctor's office. Not only did they call back and tell me I can get my refill on my pain meds without an office visit ("just this one time") but they will even call it in to the pharmacy so I don't have to go pick it up!! Technically they are not supposed to do this, but this Dr. seems to like me and she also treats my mom and my brother, so I suppose she decided I am trustworthy. So now I will definitely be pain-free (and super-happy) in WDW!! Yay! :dancer:

I just got that call & wanted to share the good news... now I must work my tail off.
manx.jpg

My arch-nemesis is on vacation - again (18 days in the last 3 months, and it doesn't even come out of her vacation time, she has a 'special deal' she negotiated. Boo.) - so now I have to do ALL of her work instead of just MOST of it.

MImom--Thanks for the pics of Captain Jack---he's mighty cute but not my JD. ;) :smokin:
I wonder if he (the imposter) will be there in October still. Did they give any hints of scheduling??
You have a lovely family--your boys don't look like they are enjoying themselves AT ALL. :teeth:

They tell everyone that that was their favorite part of the whole trip. I don't know how long it will be there. It was very popular but it wasn't listed on the schedule of show times. We had to ask someone working nearby.

Mi Mom of 3::Wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your pics!!! Your boys are verrry handsome, no wonder the Miss America contestants wanted their picture taken with them!!! Is is just me , or are those girls getting younger? I remember watching the pageant as a kid and thinking they looked pretty OLD!!! :confused3 :rotfl2:

I thought the same thing when we past them over by Splash Mtn. The first girl looked about 16, I thought she was wearing a t-shirt that she had bought in a store. And thanks for breakfast :thumbsup2

Yep 3 teenagers. Matt is the one with the longer hair, he's 14(almost 15) and just got his permit. Nick is 13 and Briana is 18. I haven't seen High School Musical, that's funny because Matt was just asking if we could rent it, that he wanted to see it.

Pozey your daughter is beautiful. Luckily she has 2 older brothers who can help you to fight off all the boys that will be hanging around sooner than you think. princess:

Linda...Kenny looked so cute heading off to school. You were so brave not to cry.

Lyzziesmom...I can't believe that was wallpaper. I am amazed at what you have managed to get done already. Are you sleeping at all!?!?

FOR PARENTS OF GIRLS YET TO BE TEENS: (she's gonna kill me... no she won't, she'll never know)

Hey I have one of those too!!! :rotfl2:

Ashley...isn't found money wonderful!!!! Congrats!!! :thumbsup2

Well Matt is not better yet. He went to practice yesterday so the trainer could take a look. He called and said he was concerned because he can't completely straighten his left leg. He is worried it might be his ACL. So we got in to see a Sports Med Orthopedist at 9 this morning. He doesn't think it is the ACL and x-rays show nothing is broken. So he is sending us for an MRI, he thinks the problem is the meniscus. So send Matt some Pixie Dust. His appt is at 12:45 this afternoon, then he goes back to the doc at 8:30 tomorrow morning. We have gotten so lucky with these appts. Apparently if you tell a sports med place that it is a football injury they get you right in :confused3 His trainer told me to make sure I tell them that he hurt it playing HS football and darned if he wasn't right.

For all who are going to Disney soon. It was great. We had fabulous weather, about 1/2 the time it was hazy which kept it from being too hot in the sun. It only rained twice and even that was barely more than a sprinkle. In the evenings I was actually wishing I had a thin jacket. I was amazed for Florida in August. :cheer2:

It's amazing - you can even get reception on a cruise ship.

This is actually a more accurate depiction of her personality most of the time.

Note hunky male, and big smile on face. If memory serves me correct, she asked him to marry her.

:rotfl: I do spend a decent amount of time on the phone, but my sister is constantly on the phone!

Well today seems to be my day for happy phone calls - just got a message from Home Depot that they found my candle! Yippee!! Stupid Sprint though... the call came in last night right after I left the store, and my phone never rang. The message didn't come through until this morning.

Tenkiller - Cookson.

The pictures are absolutely priceless!! :lmao:
Something I have to look forward to in a few years I am sure.

As for Tenkiller.....know the place well. We used to have a boat up on Tenkiller. That was several years ago though. We sold the boat. I used to work right across the highway from the lake. We used to drive about half a mile and eat lunch at one of the picnic tables on the lake.

Hi everyone!

Donna, Thanks for the yummy breakfast. :goodvibes

Lyzziesmom: Your trip is coming up so fast! That tile wallpaper really does look great! I'm glad Home Depot called about the candle too. Yay!

DznyFan: Those pictures are very funny... :rotfl: That is a typical teenage girl in her natural habitat!!

Well folks, it's almost quittin' time here, and it couldn't come soon enough! I've been so busy today, it's crazy!

Tonight I 'get' to go to a 2nd Meet the Teacher event at school. It's just for the parents to get acquainted with the teacher, see the classroom, and mostly for them to recruit volunteers for stuff throughout the year. I always hate these, because I'm usually the only one there by myself and unable to volunteer for anything, and the rest of them always give me dirty looks. Sorry ladies, but I have to actually WORK for a living. (We live in a town where the vast majority of moms work either part-time, from home, or not at all.) On the other hand, I like getting to see Lyzzie's classroom and starting a personal relationship with the teacher. I also get to break the news to her teacher tonight that Lyzzie will be missing 5 days of school. Usually at this age, and so early in the year, it's no big deal. They are just recapping material from last year anyway.

I'll be yakking at you all later, I'm sure! Happy almost-Friday!!

Hi everyone!

I had to bump this because it was *gasp* all the way on the 3rd page! Looks like you all are very busy today.

What is everyone doing for dinner? I have a beef roast in the oven and I'm going to make au gratin potatoes with it. I'm making it earlier than usual, because DH and I are going to take Ruby and go on a long walk, we're trying to prepare for all the walking at Disney!

Hope everyone is having a great day! :goodvibes :cool1: pirate:

Dinner? What's that?? I've been too busy to eat dinner! You'd think I'd be losing weight that way, but no! No such luck. Oh well, I always lose weight on vacation, especially at WDW. Even on the dining plan, go figure!

Hey everyone!! :wave2: I have been MIA the last few days, I would pop in and read a bit but didn't post. My dh is out of town until tommorrow afternoon so I have some time to post.

Just wanted to send a shout out to my peeps and let you know I'm alive and well! I'll be back later when kids are in bed. Hope everyone had a great day!!

Lyzziesmom----Love the house pictures, the tink room is too cute. Are those your parents in the pictures? They look like a lot of fun!
