Well... I'm so far behind!! Today was Kennys first day of Kindegarten...I managed to get through the day w/o crying !!! He was so excited! After he got home I asked him what he thought and his reply was it "wasn't bad" Then he tried to tell me that he is now a kindergartener and kindergarteners DO NOT take naps... nice try...get your little butt to bed!

Michele... your pix are awesome!! Bet your boys were in heaven w/those girls!!

lyzziesmom... wow... you've done a lot of work...love the Tink room!!

I'll have to catch up more later. Finally got a wireless card on my laptop and been working a lot... but it is a real pain to get on the dis on a laptop ... or at least the one I have....

Donna - I usually tell my stylist that I have no idea I just want something different. They always tell me what they are planning on doing to get my feedback but I find when I give them total control it always comes out great!

2x - the pictures look great! I think the paint colors are perfect for a girls room. Will you be moving in before you take off for never never land?

Dzny - I hope you get that property. How nice to get away somewhere just to relax whenever you want.

I have enough things I have "missed" at Disney bc of a particular someone (hint it is only DH and I) for another 15 trips!!! Maybe I can convince him of this hmmmmmm...???

So I went to Big Lots today and they had there xmas stuff out all ready; and of course one of the things sing and dance so now I have "Rockin around the xmas tree at the xmas party hop. Mistle toe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop." I am no where near ready for the holidays. One step at a time. I am not even up to Halloween, stll waiting for labor day.

Oh, that is SO teenage boy!!! Of course, DD's locker was usually full of JD pics...

Linda - what a CUTE picture of Kenny - way to go, mom, on making it through the day without crying. DD will be a senior in high school next year, and I think I'll be crying every day through the whole school year. And I remember like it was yesterday her first day of kindergarten! Funny about not wanting to take a nap... he's BIG now, you know?

Lyzziesmom - the girls room is going to be gorgeous when it is done! I think you went with the right pick with the white chair rail.

Ashley - sorry about your credit card mixup - I hate it when they do that to you! You'd think that if you made the payment on the due date it would credit, but I guess it takes a day or two to actually credit. Then, like you said, you get stuck with the overlimit charge on top of it! Good luck with trying to get that resolved.

Ashley, I would call the company and ask for the fees to be removed as a one time courtesy. If the first person can't/won't, then ask for a supervisor. I had a similar thing happen and they removed my fee. I also did the same thing for my mom. Just explain what happened, that you are a good customer, and they will usually remove it. Just be nice and if you need to call back and speak to someone else.

Ugh, I am SO mad at myself!! I took this nice new red candle to Home Depot to try to match the color for paint - I had tried at WalMart but it came out ALL WRONG. It looked like a fluorescent orangey pink... yikes! Anyway, I found what I think is a good paint color at Home Depot, went through the self-checkout, left the cart just inside the door & went to the car. Opened the car door and realized, whoopsy - no candle. So we hustled back into Home Depot. Total time out of the store: about 70 seconds. No cart in sight. The idiot cashier girl by the door said, "Oh, someone took that cart. Usually if there's paint chips in it they just throw them out." I had to explain again that it was a candle we left in the cart, not paint chips. She just shrugged. So I went to the cashier over by the checkout lane we used, she remembered us AND our candle. I ended up running through the store for 20 minutes, Emma in my arms yelling "Lost! Cart! Lost! Cart!" the whole time, and peeking into people's carts. I'm surprised nobody called security!! I left my phone number with the helpful cashier, but I'm fairly certain I'll never see that candle again. Grrrrr!!!!! If I could reach my own butt, I'd be kicking it all night.

DznyFan, that's too bad about the lake property. But like you said, it must not have been meant to be. Maybe something even better will come along. LOVE the picture of the angry teenager! I'd have killed my mom a dozen different ways if she showed off a picture of me like that!!

I think you must have meant me? No, we will be moving in right after we get back from our trip - it's a busy time for us! I'm kinda p.o.'ed at my brother & his girlfriend right now... apparently something is wrong with his girlfriend's car and she's too selfish/lazy to get it fixed, so she took his car to work and left him with no way to get to school. So my parents had to take him to school, and wait for him to get out because she always forgets to pick him up or is too tired. (Now keep in mind that my brother is in remission from leukemia and is recovering from extensive reconstructive knee surgery & is on crutches right now.) So we lost an evening of work. I said that now his girlfriend should have to watch my kids for a day so we can make up the lost time.

I just started the 2nd Plum book - think I'll go read for a while & chill out.

DS and I rode Splash Mtn in the dark the night we went by ourselves.I wouldn't trade that day for anything in the world!!! (sshhh I used our fast passes we had gotten the day before. The previous day we left in the afternoon, expecting to return. Well, DH's back was bothering him and I think we had just about worn him out, anyway we didn't go back that evening. I just saved the passes!!!

Hi everyone!

Well I had some more pixie dust tonight, even though I'm still upset about the stupid credit card company! I did ask them to remove the charge, and she said that I had it waived twice in the last six months. I have no idea whats she's talking about. This is the first time I've called them, I ONLY pay online. I haven't talked to them since I opened the account in November of 2004.

BUT, Listen to this. I don't know if you guys know, but DH & I eloped in December 2005. When we went down to Florida for Christmas, my Grandparents gave us a nice reception at their house. We got some $$$ and used it to buy Ruby . (Of course, we could have used it to pay off some bills, but I fell in love. I mean come on, wouldn't you?? You all have seen her million pictures!)

ANYWAY, I was going through my suitcase getting it ready for WDW, since I haven't used that one since that trip. I found 2 cards and thought oh thats nice, why don't I read through them? And guess what was in one! A $50 bill!!!! It was from my great-Aunt Barb, (who I don't know), who lives in Pittsburgh, but who sent me some money for my wedding. I was a little nervous thinking I didn't send her a thank-you card, but then I called my Grandma she reminded me how I couldn't find my Aunt Barb's envelope (with her address on it) way back when I was writing the thank you cards in December, so I called her then to get the address and sent her one.

It gets better. I found another card- and whats in it- but a $50 Wachovia gift card!!!!! I called and it was never used!! They did charge a $5 fee because it wasn't used in 6 months, but there was $45 on it-so thats $95 extra dollars for my Disney trip thats happening in 30 days!!!

Ashley--If your credit is good with this company you could call back again and "request" that they remove the late fee, especially since it was the SAME day. Act like you are going to close out the account and if your credit is good sometimes this will work. Don't worry about it too much if you cannot. Just think of it as a lesson learned. I know the fees are can be so aggravating and it is just like throwing it out the window. good luck Oh look, Amber just said the same thing--sorry I'm behind.

We still have Sophie. We did a quick vet run and she is only two (a guess of course). They think she is spayed(sp?). The vet seemed to think she was taken care of...maybe a bit spoiled...she's a little overweight. We are on an allergy watch with the boys...they both have allergies...and asthma (mild). We are not used to keeping the gates shut...so the biggest problem so far has been her getting out. DS went nuttie on us tonight when she got out. He was crying and freaking out and made his brother cry. She's not too hard to catch...doesn't seem to be able to run very fast. Well, I gotta run...catch you guys tomorrow.

Psst, I'll let you in on a little secret but don't tell anyone. That tiling backsplash? Wallpaper! Yup, textured wallpaper. Unless you touch it, you can not tell the difference! I know, I was amazed too. And the paint on the wall? More wallpaper!! I'm not real happy with that though... I still may tear it down and try my hand at venetian plaster. I don't think you're missing any changes, the rest haven't been made yet. Work in progress, as I may have mentioned.

Mi Mom of 3::Wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your pics!!! Your boys are verrry handsome, no wonder the Miss America contestants wanted their picture taken with them!!! Is is just me , or are those girls getting younger? I remember watching the pageant as a kid and thinking they looked pretty OLD!!!

Ashley::Yippee for finding the extra $$$$!!! I remember finding a $100 bill at Christmastime that I had hidden in my wallet during a WDW vacation. That was pretty cool, but often wondered if I would have remembered where I put it if I really needed it?

Linda::As usual, Kenny's picture is ADORABLE!! Too old for a nap huh?? DS hasn't taken naps since he was 4, unless he is sick. Kenny may/may not be outgrowing them.(Probably not!!)
