Well, Crew; I think I'm signing off for the night. Nathan is getting his bath and I need to get my shower,too.:dance3:

Sweet dreams, everyone!!!:cloud9:

Do you guys actually like the Tiki stuff at TDS? I like the Navy blue line that came out but the prior was too bright for me and the Tiki Kingdom t-shirts are, um, the laughing stock of my store. We can't help but laugh at them and I have them coming out of my ears. I don't mean to offend....really I don't. They look cute on kiddos though!

Ashley, we are getting an awesome new line in right now. Its similar to the studio line last year which was all sketch art and pretty and true Disney. It launches next Sunday. There is tons of great stuff!

FYI: www.disneystore.com that is connected to Disney Store, not Disney Shopping launches on July 10th.

Good morning, everyone!!

I think I'm about to flip here!!! I just checked out Disneyworld.com and it's showing a rate of $254 for the Poly for our time frame. (7/07 to 8/03) I am paying $221/night for the WL. WOW!!! Should I check into this?? Gary and Nathan were really looking forward to the WL, but to be on the monarail circuit would be great!!!

I may have to run this by my "Disney Vacation Planner in Training"!! (Nathan)

I'll be thinking about this all day long!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Any opinions???

Good Morning!

Donna, I would MUCH rather stay at the Poly than WL. How often are you going to get that good of a rate for the Poly?

Lin, I do like the tiki stuff, but then again I love all things tiki. I did buy the light blue and brown skirt and two of the t-shirts.

Michele, that picture of Lily is too cute! :cloud9:

Ashley, moving the trip to Dec will be so worth it. The weather will probably be better, plus the whole atmosphere will be wonderful. I loved MVMCP and would go back just for the parade and fireworks.

pozey, the report and pictures were great!

Not much going on here. We watched Fletch last night and then Hell's Kitchen. Anyone watch that show? I can't stand most of them and was ready to throw things at Melissa.

Have a great day everyone!!

OH....I'd have to go for the Poly:cloud9: I could have gotten OKW for the same price of our SOG/Poly trip for a 1 bdrm...and would have had more space but I REALLY wanted the monorail!!!

good luck, hope no more baby bunnies ;)

Or you can just tell him that you'll need to come to the Poly w/us in Dec:rolleyes1

Donna -- how long are you staying? If it is a long enough stay, how about splitting your stay between the two?

Those are my 2 favorite resorts - Wilderness Lodge and the Poly - so I understand how it can be a very difficult decision.

Good morning!

I'm enjoying a quiet morning before the gang all wake up. Today we have to finish putting the rooms back together from the carpet install. We talked about trying to go downtown (Chicago) to see the fireworks tonight, but after they announced how many people are supposed to be there:eek: :scared: we decided we have had enough of crowds and they won't match up with our Wishes fireworks anyway!;)

Michele and Lesa!!! WELCOME BACK!!!!

Michele:: Your family pictures are all wonderful!!! It was especially nice to see Miss Lilly enjoying herself at WDW and seeing a pic of your mom for the first time!!!

Lesa:: Sorry you're still having issues with your contractors! Yeah....Welcome Home.
Oh, I almost forgot....the Wishes Cruise sounds fantastic!!! Maybe something to keep in mind for a future Cliqueless Meet!!

Nathan and Gary were just outside and I heard a lot of yelling and the name "Buddy" (our dog) repeated quite a bit. It seems Gary pried a live baby rabbit out of Buddy's mouth. The rabbit was fine and Nathan encouraged it to hop away to a wooded area behind our house. Buddy is now being fed a hot dog as a reward for spitting out the bunny.
Good dog, Buddy!!! (ETA: for letting the bunny go!) That is Gracie's dream in life to catch herself a bunny.:lmao: Most of the babies have grown up and pretty much learned to stay out of the yard, so now we are working on catching Chip and Dale. I've never seen chipmunks run so fast across the yard and up and over a fence in record time squawking the whole time!

I would have to say GO FOR THE POLY!!!:cool1: :yay: What a great deal!!! I loved staying at WL, but I would say the experience at the Poly would be a better one IMO!;) :rolleyes1 You could always go over and visit WL!:rolleyes1

Linda....Your Disney plans sound wonderful! I am in awe that you are able to plan this far in advance. I'm a last minute girl! I have used TGM for our last 2 trips. I only use it for the important stuff such as which parks to stay far away from on which days. We didn't follow it that closely this trip, actually we were lucky to do all the things with did with 12 and a baby!;) Our last trip though proved invaluable. We went with friends that weren't friends by the time we went and I didn't tell them I used him. We literally did everything and then some with no waiting and they spent most of their time waiting in lines.;)

YM....Feel better soon! I agree with Donna, all that rain is not helping matters. How is your son doing? Funny thing, as soon as the plane landed in Detroit, Madison started back with her coughing and wheezing. David said the same thing, his asthma improves when we are in Florida.

Pozey....I love your pictures, they are beautiful! Sounds like your family had a great time! I love the last picture of the kids all wiped out, I have a few of those with Madison. She wants me to erase them.:lmao: $40 at McDonald's!:scared1: Holy smokes batman! I hope they were at least better tasting than the "average" McDonalds!!!

Lin.....Good luck with your test results!:wizard: I'm sure you did well!

Dznyfan....Erin sounds like she is enjoying her job. Michele and I worked at TDS many years ago. It sure has changed since then.

I got a thing in the mail yesterday inviting DVC members to a preview of Disney's Doorway To Dreams opening up at the Woodfield Mall. It is the first of its kind to open and sell DVC outside of WDW. I really want to check it out. They are previewing AKV. Mickey and friends will be there.

We had neighbors taking care of Gracie while we were gone. We came home to the blinds eaten, the door frame chewed and a few of Madison's Poly Pockets eaten, but all in all they all said how good she was and how much they all fell in love with her. They said they would have her outside with them and she only tired to run away once and she listens so well! I had to ask them if we were talking about the same dog!!! :confused3 They all said (we had 3 different neighbors watching her at different times) they had her out without her leash and she stayed right next to them. We come home and the first thing she does is sneaks out the door and runs down the street and wouldn't come. Damn Dog!!!:sad2:

pozey: I love the pictures of the kids zonked out in the car! A great ending to a great story. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I'm confused about one thing though... where was the part where someone gets mad and starts cursing and stomps off for a few hours? That was always an integral part of our family vacations when I was growing up. In fact, it still is. And I'm sorry to tell you, it was always Dad who had the hissy fit. I don't let it bother me anymore though, I just maturely ignore it and call him a poopyhead and go about my vacation. ;) (Oh I do hope the Tag Fairy isn't lurking here today.)
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hi, Donna! welcome back! Poor bunny! At least you got it away - alive.

Ashley, that stinks that you can't find any adult stuff at your local Disney Store. Ours has quite a bit of adult merchandise - the tiki line (blecchhh), they've had some different jeans in, lots of adult Pirates stuff, and the movie poster ladies tees (I now have three of them.... she found a L Sleeping Beauty one, and my wonderful daughter got it for me!! ).

Erin was telling me about those - she said they're awesome! I can't wait to see them. I don't like the tiki tees, but I did buy a bunch of the tiki summer housewares - some plates, the large glasses, the shaker and the pitcher. Erin bought herself that cute little white (kids) skirt with the characters on the bottom - in an XL kids - it's so cute!

Linda - awww - why was he trying to shoo her (or him) away?? At least you got a fleeting glimpse and one shot.

pozey:: I absolutely LOVED your trip report!!! Thank YOU for sharing it with us!! Your pics of the Grand Canyon were breathtaking and the pics of the kids all "wiped out" from their vacation was priceless!!!!
Thank you – and thanks to everyone else who said they enjoyed the trip report. I enjoy writing, plus it helps me “re-live” the vacation in my head. It wasn’t Disney, but it was a very wonderful vacation. But the next vacation we take will definitely be to Walt Disney World.
Dznyfan:: How cool that Erin waited on Pozey!!! I know that you must be very proud of her!!!
DznyFan has every right to be proud. Erin was the perfect Disney Store employee. Very professional. And she is every bit as beautiful in person as she is in the pictures that DznyFan has shown us.

I think we are pretty lucky as The Disney Store here in Tulsa always seems to hire great people. I see and hear employees walking around the store singing to the Disney music that is playing. It always seems to be that the employees enjoy working there, and that it isn’t “just a job”.

I actually do kind of like the Tiki shirts. I have bought several of the shirts for all of us. DW likes the movie poster tees too.

Now, the sketch art line - I think they called it Disney Studio - I REALLY liked. But I don't recall seeing any adult sizes. And I have begun to start buying Colton Adult Small sizes in tee shirts.

Here's some WDW pictures

Me, David and the girls just before breakfast at the Crystal Palace. We did the first seating, so the park wasn't open yet

Awww, Pozey, I'm touched. *sniff* thanks. ;)

all this shopping talk is making me want to go shopping!

Love the pictures, Lesa!! Ah, the fireworks cruise, those are so awesome.

I had that very problem a few days ago. :confused3

Donna, I'm with Pozey - if you can, split your stay! Both resorts are just so awesome, I don't know how you could choose.

Madison excited about her first airplane ride, she could hardly contain herself she was so excited!;)

Lesa- Great pics!

I'll have to check out the sketch art line, I'm not really into the tiki line.

hello again strangers!!! (I know, I know----I'm the one who's been the stranger lately:sad2: )

Welcome Home Michele and Lesa!!!!!!! Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Michele----the picture of Lilly on the oversized chair is priceless!!! Keeping up with the family tradition, eh?? I do remember when you had the pic of your kids on the same chair. And it is so nice to see a picture of your sweet mom!!!! Hi Maureen!!!!

Lesa---poor Maddie!!! I didn't realize with all of your trips that this was her first flight. Did she do okay on the way back??
I wanted to do the Wishes Cruise last October, but we opted for MNSSHP instead. So, needless to say I still want to do the Wishes Cruise. I'm glad you thought it was worth it.

Hi to everyone!!!!!!

Well, thanks to Miss Linda and all of her talk about the Poly, guess what I did last weekend??:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
Yep, I am going the first weekend in November.:cool1:
I was talking to my mom about Linda, Mike and Kenny's Christmas trip at the Poly and we started reminiscing about when my sister and I were kids and how we always stayed at the Poly (CR only a couple of times), and we both said at the same time-----maybe we should just sneak down there for a few days. Well, you know what happens when that is said--------the research begins. It will just be my mom and myself-----in fact, she hasn't even told my dad yet. uh-oh.
We are going to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour and I was able to get all the ADR's that we wanted-----'Ohana, LeCellier, Narcoosee's and we are going to try Morocco for the first time.

I do have a question for all you AP experts---------We are doing the dining plan, but if I want to upgrade to AP tickets, how does that work for this trip and for future trips??

I need to run and get ready for work (can't wait for a day off tomorrow), so sorry I can't chat a bit longer. I just wanted to say HI and that yes, I am still around.;) (you're probably thinking, "oh, great":lmao: )

Have a good day.

p.s.----this is going waaaay back, but I forgot to mention that I made Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes for Father's Day breakfast. They were YUMMY!!!!
