Do you guys remember the picture I had in my signature of my kids on that oversized couch at the Boardwalk? Well now I have an even cuter one!!

How cute is THAT?!! You should seriously enlarge and frame that. That is one adorable baby!

Pozer, it looks like your family had a fantastic time! Great pics of the Grand Canyon helicopter ride. I'm from Las Vegas, and they do helicopter GC tours out of little companies on the strip and we were always hearing about heli crashes in the canyon. I always swore I'd never do one! I'm glad you survived and that you enjoyed it! :teeth:

Thank you Bonnie. I had never heard of any of them crashing, so I'm glad we survived as well!!! :thumbsup2 I'm not sure if I would have been able to get DW on the 'copter if she had known.....

omg Michele:cloud9:  :cutie: princess: those pix are awesome!!! Esp. Miss. Lilly!!! How adorable!!!

pozey... glad you got some "disney magic" on your trip. love how you ended w/pix of all 3 crashed out in the car:goodvibes that looked like an awesome trip. One we'll have to make one day for sure. Those sunset pix are so beautiful!!! The copter ride looked awesome. I've only done that once, and that was over wdw:cloud9: that was cool!

Ashley:woohoo: you got your airfare!! I love your new ticker too!!

Thanks Nicole! I'm still waiting for my folks to get here, they just said they were coming "soon."

I was telling Lyzzie about the cashier we had at TDS yesterday. She must have been either new or just weekend help. She was very young, so imagine everything in a young teen/valleygirl voice. First she asked the time, I told her, and she said, "Oh good, only 10 more minutes. My feet are KILLING me, I've been standing all day and dealing with people." When I asked about a price adjustment, she said, "What's that? Oh I don't have a clue if we do those thingies. Lemme go get my manager." Then, while the manager did the adjustment, we were right next to our original cashier and heard her talking to the next customers. They bought Ratatouille stuffed animals. The cashier asked if they'd seen "that ratty movie" yet, and then remarked, "Yeah I haven't seen it but it looks cute. It looks like one of the only, like, cartoony kind of movies that I would actually, like, want to see and maybe like."

Lyzzie was HORRIFIED when I told her about this girl! It was actually pretty funny - her mouth dropped open and she made this "harrumpfh!" sound. She said, "When I'm old enough, I'm going to work either at the Disney Store or Disney World, and I would NEVER act like that! You just can't DO that!"

I was so proud. :)

I mentioned that my DIS friend Lin is a manager at TDS (did I get that right?) and Lyzzie was very impressed, as if I knew royalty! She said that's got to be the coolest, best job ever. Besides working at WDW.

I feel so special! And that girl sounds like the people that come into my store for applications. I cannot hire any quality at my mall. I work at a mall in a relatively wealthy area and the only people that want jobs are the ones who can't afford not to work. They are atrocious for the most part! Where are the Erin's????

"That ratty movie" :lmao: I wish I would have been there!

I wish I had TDS in my mall. :( All the others are kind of far. Hey Lin, tell the people at TDS to build one in my mall! ;) You think they would, they've been remodeling the mall for a few years.

I just got back from the mall (my second home) and bought some cute tops. As if I need to spend money. But they were all on sale so that makes it okay!:teeth:

Nicole, what mall is it? We just lost Houston as part of our district, but they are opening new stores, so....

Lin, I was looking at the pics on your Myspace account...loved them!! you looked gorgeous and it looks like you had a great time..I really want to go on a cruise! I'm alittle afraid I'd get seasick though, I get motion sickness really easily! I can't even sit in the backseat of a car without feeling sick:sick:

Ah, thanks! You know, I get motion sick too, no fast rides, no riding backwards, nothing. But, I haven't had a problem on the cruises much. I just take dramamine in the AM when I get up and keep it in my system so that if it does get bumpy I'm okay. Plus, the ships are so big that even when you do feel the movement its pretty minimal.

Here is the link for the disney story. http://www.wesh.com/news/810951/detail.html

Thats absolutely crazy! I can't believe the things people do these days.

Michele - the pictures are great!! I especially liked the one of Miss Lilly on the chair at the Boardwalk.

Pozey - what a great trip you had. What a fabulous last day! That helicopter tour looked amazing. I would never do something like that, but I really enjoyed seeing the photos you took from the helicopter. Cracked up at the shots of all the kids sleeping on the ride home. It sounds like you guys had just a wonderful vacation, and I really enjoyed reading your reports.

pozey: I love the pictures of the kids zonked out in the car! A great ending to a great story. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I'm confused about one thing though... where was the part where someone gets mad and starts cursing and stomps off for a few hours? That was always an integral part of our family vacations when I was growing up. In fact, it still is. And I'm sorry to tell you, it was always Dad who had the hissy fit. I don't let it bother me anymore though, I just maturely ignore it and call him a poopyhead and go about my vacation. ;) (Oh I do hope the Tag Fairy isn't lurking here today.)

Ashley: Your Poly trip is really coming together, you lucky duck.

Linda: A helicopter trip over WDW sounds really cool! I had no idea that was even available. I've never been in a copter, but if I did that would be the way to do it.

We went to a different Chinese restaurant today, and it was very good. It was in the "downtown" part of our town, which is an adorable couple of blocks with cute little awnings over the storefronts and a clock tower. The only thing lacking is cobblestone on the streets. Emma ate a little bit of everything in my Schezuan chicken, and she loved it. I just put it all on her plate and next thing I know, she's yelling, "I love these, I really do!" They were the little mushy black mushrooms, they were very spicy but she couldn't get enough. She's not nearly as picky and Lyzzie and I are, but I was surprised she tried so many new things. I think it's her new favorite restaurant.

As we were leaving, I was backing out of the parking space and there was only one other car in the tiny lot, a small pickup truck. Suddenly I went crazy, I started yelling and pointing and Lyzzie was really alarmed. I couldn't even find the words... the pickup had a Mickey-head trailer hitch! It was so funny, because my car has a Mickey emblem on the back and a Minnie antenna topper, and we were the only two cars in the lot. I was tempted to go into the store that the truck was parked in front of and find the owner just to have someone to talk Disney to.

Then we went to our local custard stand for a nice frozen treat. While I was paying, my mom called so I had Lyzzie answer the phone. She asked what we were ordering. :confused3 Turns out they were driving by and saw us standing outside getting our ice cream! Later, Lyzzie was JUST saying how it was so funny they called, and as we were getting in the car she turned around and there was my dad in the next car! They came to join us but they were too late, we were full & had to get home before our custard turned to soup.

Memorial City Mall. Hopefully they'll open one up here. I hope you did well on your test! :wizard:

I would imagine they still have it...my ex and I got married at the WL in 97...we did the copter tour during our honeymoon:rolleyes1 it was a cool ride though. I think it was right off I4 or 192...it was cool!!!

Emma is so cute. Glad she found something she liked so much:cloud9:

I think that is still on disney outlet for like $4!! last I saw it anyway ;)

deerpix005.jpg

see what I woke up to see this morning... I hear..."Linda come here..come here, quick..get your camera":rotfl: It's just Bambi...yeah, but I don't want him in my garden!! He's outside trying to shew this deer away:lmao: you shoulda seen it!

Good evening, Crew!! Wow, it seems like I'm so far behind . I've kept up with the posting for the most part, but my laptop has been acting a little peculiar and sometimes I just give up on posting anything!!!:badpc:

pozey:: I absolutely LOVED your trip report!!! Thank YOU for sharing it with us!! Your pics of the Grand Canyon were breathtaking and the pics of the kids all "wiped out" from their vacation was priceless!!!!

Michele and Lesa!!! WELCOME BACK!!!!:yay: :yay:

Michele:: Your family pictures are all wonderful!!! It was especially nice to see Miss Lilly enjoying herself at WDW and seeing a pic of your mom for the first time!!!

Lesa:: Sorry you're still having issues with your contractors! Yeah....Welcome Home.;)
Oh, I almost forgot....the Wishes Cruise sounds fantastic!!! Maybe something to keep in mind for a future Cliqueless Meet!!

Linda:: Your ADR's sound perfect!!! I was wanting to call today to add LeCellier, but I forgot until just now, I think it's too late to call this evening!!
Christmas at the Poly will be so much fun and sounds like you may have some company, too!!!:woohoo:

Ashley:: Great news that you got your room at the Poly and your airfare booked!! I know you guys will have a magical trip!!!

YourMajesty:: I hope you get to feeling better soon, Queenie!! Hopefully it will stop raining in your area soon. Is the rain/mold part of your sinus problems? It was a beautiful day here today...low humidity and mild temperatures!!!:sunny:

Dznyfan:: How cool that Erin waited on Pozey!!! I know that you must be very proud of her!!!

UnderDog:: Thanks for the Tonga Toast!!! It was wonderful!!!

lyzziesmom:: What a cute pic of Emma on the Merry-Go-Round!!! She likes Chinese food!!!
Now you have me hungry for ice cream!!! :rolleyes1

Lin:: Good luck with you test results!!!!

Nathan and Gary were just outside and I heard a lot of yelling and the name "Buddy" (our dog) repeated quite a bit. It seems Gary pried a live baby rabbit out of Buddy's mouth. The rabbit was fine and Nathan encouraged it to hop away to a wooded area behind our house. Buddy is now being fed a hot dog as a reward for spitting out the bunny.

Hope you all have a great evening!!

Linda::I just saw you Bambi pic!! How awesome!!! We see deer in the woods at the edge of our yard every now and then.

Hi Lin, somehow I completely missed your post! I hope you passed your test, I know how much you want that job. Good luck!!

Linda: Oh how I would love to look out my window and see a deer! We love all the little critters we get, even if they do eat our plants and poop on our patio.

My mom just called to tell me she and my dad went to the Disney Store! I don't think she's ever been there before, I was so surprised. Turns out my dad's Tiki shirt is too big and they wanted to see if anyone had returned a smaller size. No luck -- I bought the very last shirt last week. Mom is going to try to tailor it a little bit, it's just a Hawaiian shirt so it shouldn't be too hard, since she knows how to sew. Not me, I'm proud if I can sew on a button and get it to line up with the buttonhole! Anyway they didn't buy anything, but I was just so surprised that they even went. I think they are almost as excited about our trip as I am, even if they won't admit it. I've successfully converted them!! Now if only I can get Dad to take the DVC tour...

Oh no Donna, dogs don't understand rewards for NOT eating something! He's going to think he gets a hot dog now every time he brings you a bunny. Our former cat Jake used to be a great hunter, much to my dismay. It was pretty common to find baby rabbits hopping around our house and a very proud cat playing catch & release. Then he'd do the "final catch" and eat their heads. Poor bunnies! I always tried to rescue them but wasn't always fast enough.

I was disappointed, I went to the Disney store twice in the last couple weeks and I didn't see anything in adult sizes!! :sad2: I wanted something for our trip, but now I'm thinking it is going to be cooler in Dec.

I was all excited about the Tiki stuff but didnt see anything! Even the employees had no idea what I was talking about!

 Good thinkin' Donna!!! Wow- your trip is coming up real soon!!! Boy am I jealous!! It seems like my wait just started all over.

My trip can't come soon enough!!! I can't wait!!!

Yeah, your counter DID move backwards, but it will be so worth it!!
