I give up. I try to do something nice for my family's trip, and I just can't make them happy. I got everyone those tiki tshirts at TDS. My dad got very excited and thinks they will be perfect to wear to the luau. I hadn't thought of that, but I think it's a great idea. Mom says, "Oh no, I'm not wearing a tshirt to that, I'm getting dressed up." I told her Mom... it's outdoors at the Polynesian, and it's a LUAU. She says, "Oh. It's outside? Fine, I guess I can wear a tshirt." But it's in that Momvoice and you just know she doesn't mean it. I'm pretty sure now she's not so excited about the luau.

Not once did anybody say Thank You!

And yet they want me to try to find outfits for my brother & his girlfriend that match the matching outfits we got from disneyshopping.com last year, even though they're not selling them any more this year. They do have a few sizes left in the outlet section, I think, but heck if I'M buying them!

And this concludes my Rant of the Day. Thanks for tuning in. Watch for tomorrow's Rant of the Day, same place, probably not same time. Possibly same subject -- family is endless Rant material and the CB is proof of that!

OK, this is it, folks!! (yay!

I hope you all have a Tiggerific Tuesday!!!:tigger:

One month, one week and one day!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Hey, Ashley:: I'm glad the dentist visit went so smoothly for you. Waiting until you're on Jeremiah's insurance is probably the wise thing to do!!
Yes, my trip is sneeking up on me, but can't come soon enough!! We're not doing the dining plan...actually, we are only staying in WDW for 3 nights. The first four will be a RPH at Universal. Since our plane arrives so late on Friday night (11:40pm) I have been thinking of just staying at the Hyatt at the airport and getting the rental car and checking into RPH on Saturday morning. I think I've talked myself into just dealing with everything on Friday evening and be done with it. If I changed days that would also mess with our Stay 4, Play Free Promo. Decisions, decisions!!

DznyFan:: I loved your trip report with all the pics!! I am actually very sad you're done with it.
I'm glad to hear your Dad is in good spirits!! I'm keeping him in my prayers for today's surgery.

Lyzziesmom:: Sorry....you just can't please everyone can ya'?? I've been eyeing the postcard print shirts and dresses that Disneyshopping has out right now. I wonder how many will be wondering the World next month??
I'd like to be a fly on the wall to see Emma at VBS today!! I think they may see the shy Emma at first don't you think??:cutie:

Linda:: Sure hope your new coworker gets his own computer today. You may have to introduce him to the Dis......DVC and DCL!!!!:woohoo: It could be very important info for him to know what you all do in your "down time".;)

UnderDog:: I think I've already mentioned it, but thanks for the ice cream!! I love ALL the flavors!!
Did you have a nice Father's Day?? I hope so, you deserve it!!:thumbsup2

Pozey:: I know you're not reading this, but I hope you and your family are having fun at the Grand Canyon!! Can't wait to hear all about your adventures and see the awesome pics!!!:yay:

Michele & Lesa:: How are you all doing at OKW?? I know Blake had his laptop, there's NO EXCUSE not to check in to let us know how much fun you're having!!:rolleyes1
What does Lilly think of her first vacation?? I'll bet she loves the pool area!!

Amber:: Leary licking the screen when he sees pictures of Ruby?! How cute!!! I think it would be a match made in heaven!!!pug: pug: :dogdance:

Well, better get going for the day!!! Have a great day everyone!!:sunny:

Good Morning!!!

Donna, to me it would be easiest to just go to RPH when the flight gets in. Then, you can get checked in and go to sleep. You can sleep in and not have to worry about checking in, out, and back in again.

Lyzziesmom, vent away about the family. You would think that everyone would be happy you thought of them and bought them something. That's family though.

I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Thanks for the ice cream Underdog!

Lyzziesmom- Vent away!

Well, tonight is finally that "pleasure party" that I was invited to. We'll see how it goes. ;)

Glad you guys liked the trip report(s). Thanks! I had a ball writing them.

Donna - Kona cafe for breakfast - oh how I wish I could really be there. Thanks!

Lyzziesmom - families, ugh. I feel your pain.

Underdog, thanks for the ice cream!

Nicole, have fun at your party tonight!! don't spend too much!

I wonder how our Pozey's family trip is going? I bet they're having a blast!

Nicole: Have fun at your party tonight! Now there's something I'd like to be a fly on the wall for. ;)

Donna: I'm pretty sure they did see the shy Emma yesterday. She wouldn't tell me much about it, except she is offended that there's another Emma in her class. She says, "That girl is Emma, but she is NOT me!" So she's going by Emma Rose, which I have a feeling will continue long into her school years. Hey, that table at Kona looks familiar! It very well may be the same table we had on our Convention.

UnderDog: That's some fancy ice cream, looks delicious. I'll have a scoop of each please. There's no calories in ice cream, right? Doesn't the freezing process take all the calories out? Sort of like alcohol burns them all off. :thumbsup2 (thumb)

Lyzzie is at the dr. this morning for her camp physical. I assured her it was just a checkup to make sure she's healthy. Then my mom called to get my permission to give her some shots! Oops, I didn't know she was due for a chicken pox booster and some other new vaccine that came out since her last physical a few years ago (I forget which one it was, hepatitis something?). Poor girl, I told her no shots! She's a trooper, I'm sure she'll be fine. Mad as heck, but fine.

Well I'd better get to work. Rumor has it that the boss lady is coming in sometime this week or early next week to do reviews - but nobody seems to know exactly when. That's a little nerve-wracking! I just hope that I get a little more money, and that if I do, it's retroactive to when my review was supposed to be last month. I'm not really counting on either though, but hey a girl can dream, right?

Oh DznyFan, I just read your post about your sister. That's the thing about family - you can't choose them and if you could, you probably wouldn't. It sounds like (besides having an annoying personality) she is nervous about your dad and feels out of control, and instead of just asking how she can help she is trying to be bossy. I don't have any advice, just hang in there and you seem to be handling it very well. I'd have told her off already, long ago! Hmmm, perhaps that's why I'm not very close with my brother?

Good luck, and I'm glad to hear your dad is doing so well.

Dznyfan- I'm sorry about your sister. :grouphug: She reminds me of my aunt, she complains that no one ever calls her about important stuff. Well, the reason is because all she knows how to do is complain. No one wants to talk to her.

exactly! It's much easier to talk to my stepsister, who has a great positive attitude - and I rarely talk to my stepsister. Of course, I am the world's WORST about picking up a phone and calling....

DznyFan...I'm glad your dad is doing well.:grouphug: You did a great job with your sister...that's a tough one. Seems like she may like a little drama at all times. I really enjoyed your trip report. :woohoo:

Hey Donna thanks for breakfast!

Grrr...I just had to spend $156 to have an air duct repaired. It only took about thirty minutes...seems kind of steep to me.:rolleyes1

Hope everyone has a nice Monday.

I just picked up a copy of Lean Mean Thirteen. :woohoo:

Apparently I am in the wrong business, if air duct repairmen make #312 per hour!

I didn't realize 13 was out yet... darn it, gonna have to make another trip to the store. Maybe I'll just add it to my book club list if they have it. Thanks for the reminder!

Really...who cares about a hot steamy attic when your making that kind of money. I think it was a bit high but DH was not available to fix it today. It's frustrating to pay that kind of money for a simple repair(the duct had fallen from the furance:rolleyes: )...maybe I need to shop around next time.:rolleyes1

Today was the first day for Lean Mean Thirteen to go on sale. It was about $20.00 at Walmart. Is your book club discounted? I'm poor now.:headache:

Yep, my book club is $9.99 for every book, and I think that includes shipping. The downside is that you can only get one book per month, and the selection is limited. They didn't have the new Stephen King book, but I just checked and they DO have 13, so I put it at the top of my list. Woohoo! It should come around the end of the month -- but now I'll have to wait a whole nother month for the new Dean Koontz book which looks really good too. Decisions, decisions! I need to learn to read slower.

Oh, and in case anyone's interested the book club is called Zooba. It's online, at zooba.com, and so far I've been pretty happy with it.
