Logging on real quickly so as to not get into trouble here at work for back-dooring into the DIS……

I got an e-mail from the company that I have interviewed with. She is working on putting together a formal offer to me. And from speaking to her previously and reading between the lines, it looks like a pretty good offer. In fact a REALLY GOOD OFFER. Somewhere in the neighborhood of a $13,500 per year raise. Woo Hoo!! Say it with me……WOO HOO!!

Anyway……as of right now, I don’t see anything that would keep me from accepting. They are very relaxed – I saw people wearing jeans in the office during one of my interviews. I spoke to them about my upcoming vacation to the Grand Canyon, and they did not foresee any issues with that.

I would like to negotiate some more vacation time though – maybe 3 weeks next year, but that would be a pipe dream.

Anyway……just wanted to update everyone. I sure miss talking with you guys!!

I wear them everyday we're not supposed to, according to corporate....but our office does anyway... my boss just is not the dressing up kind of guy... so we wear whatever we want... as long as you look presentable Way to go!! Alright shorty girls like me (5'2") I bought a really cute sundress at New York and Co yesterday that did not make me look like an overweight midget, it was very flattering. Certainly more expensive than Old Navy but they are having a buy one get one half off sale on the entire store so it wasn't that bad!

Ashley, I didn't think you sounded rude at all!

I do indeed have to work this weekend, well today and tomorrow at least. I am singing at church on Sunday morning so I have that day off.

Well, I'm off to the store!!!

Just picked this quote out from Lin because I'm the same height (well when I round up from 5' 1 and 3/4". I think April and I were exactly the same height so we have a few shorties around.

I think I may be one of the tallest around here! (besides Pozey probably!!)Funny, because I'm the shortest in my family.

I'm 5'5", but I have the same problem with sundresses because I have the weird problem of having a longer torso & very very short legs!! Sexy, huh? Its hard for me to find pants that fit properly, (they are usually WAY too long) but I usually am lucky at Old Navy. In the warmer weather though, I usually live in capri's.

Actually, I think Lyzziesmom & I are about the same height. I remember at the meet feeling tall compared to YM & Linda!!! I don't usually feel tall against anybody!

Sundresses can work if the waistline is high, like an empire waist or a halter top - but I rarely can find one I like & can afford & fits -- the holy trinity of shopping.

Lyzziesmom, maybe we'll get some luck at Old Navy. If my legs look too short I could try and find some short of sandal with a heel. But I didn't want to bring any shoes to Universal except Crocs, since my feet felt so good during the cliqueless meet when I wore them the whole trip!! Old Navy is pretty affordable.
