Hi everyone :)

Hope everyone had a nice Tuesday!! I called and canceled my insurance application today. I was talking to my mom about it & and she said the medical part of it sounded good, but the dentist part didn't. THe only thing that had a waiting period was that. What I'm going to do is get a dental discount card from Aetna that isn't insurance but participating dentists take it and it saves some money. It does not have a waiting period. It costs about $100 for the year. I'm excited because the dentist that I love in Florida accepts it (I checked) so I might take a trip down to Florida so she can do my work. I have had really bad dentist experiences in my life and she is wonderful.

Lyzziesmom, that was sweet of Lyzzie to think of me. :) Glad Emma is coming home today!!! Even though I'm going on a trip too, I'm still jealous you are going to WDW. I wish that was where we are going!!!

Amber, lucky you getting a new laptop! I got my first laptop in September 2005 and it still works great (knock on wood) I hope you enjoy it!

DznyFan, I'm going to read your trip report now! Thanks for writing one!

Angela, LOVE the pics!!! Looks like you had a fantastic time. I'm so jealous you got to stay at the Poly!!

Hi to everyone else, :yay:

You're welcome in my bags anytime!

OK - trip report here - day 4 is on the top (most recent entry) so scroll down to 1 and start there. It is very long, but tried to be entertaining at least!

Great trip report. Can you say what hotel you stayed at? That was nice to have a friend that knew the area. Can anyone go to the stage door after the shows? The shows sounded great...sorry you missed the performers you wanted to see. I want to try the $20 banana split!

Hope you have some big bags.;) ;)

Linda!!! As Kenny would say.... You're hopeless!!!!:lmao: :teeth:
Yep, I think you're right:rotfl: Kenny thought that was hilarious that you remembered that too ;)

! I called and canceled my insurance application today.
I think you did the right thing;) I think I want to go to your dentist in FL too!:cool1: "oh honey, I have to go to the dentist...see you in a week":rotfl: "Linda..what are these bills from the Poly":lmao:

Hope you have some big bags.;) ;)
Can you imagine going shopping at the World of Disney:faint: :woohoo: I'd be in heaven!!!!

dznyfan...I love what I've gotten to read so far:cool1:

Dznyfan- I just finished your TR and it was wonderful! I want to go back to NYC so bad right now!!! $20 banana split! :faint:

Ashley- That's good you got a discount card!

Angela...great pics...thanks for sharing. Looks like you had lots of fun. Can't wait to hear more details. Where were the pictures with Goofy and Pluto taken?

ps...what are you feeding Connor...he looks very tall!

Those pictures were taken at Chef Mickey's! :) I know I keep hoping he's going to slow down at growing, at this rate he'll be as tall as I am in middle school (I'm 5'10"). Chef Mickey's was a lot of fun. Minnie was the funniest, the boys were wearing Mickey shirts and she pointed to them making a big deal about it and I was wearing a Minnie shirt and she hugged me. You'll notice those pictures that Minnie is the only one Connor is smiling with! :)

Dznyfan, great trip report! Sorry Erin didn't get to see her favorites. Can't wait for pictures.

Angela, your pictures were so great!!!

Ashley, glad you got your dental figured out.

Hey to everyone!

Hey, wanted to make sure you guys knew that on April 1st Travel Channel is having a Disney Marathon. I believe it starts at 1:00 Central, but could be off on that!

Good evening!

I typed up a post this morning, but Lilly woke up before I submitted it and I lost it.

I forgot how tired you get taking care of a little one. Bree took Lilly home around 6:30 this evening and I fell asleep for almost 2 hours.:rolleyes1

dznyfan....Great trip report. A $20 banana split.:scared1:

Nicole....3000:dance3: :cool1:

Michele will post a picture of Lilly soon. She has been busy working around her house trying to make room for Lilly.

Have a great night everyone!

YM, we stayed at the Beekman Tower Hotel. My friend got a REALLY good rate there.

Nicole - I didn't know you'd gone before - did you just love it??

Lesa - sorry to hear you lost your post - but because Lilly woke up? Definitely worth it!

I uploaded a few more pics tonight - it's going slowly.... I'll let you all know when they're all up.

Anyone can go to the stage door - as long as you don't mind standing around waiting for the cast to come out. Erin got her playbills signed. Stage door for Beauty and the Beast was an absolute zoo! Mary Poppins wasn't bad at all -and it was original cast!

Big bag? We had a dance bag (a big duffel) that we packed empty inside another suitcase. We used it on the way back for the stuff we got while we were there.

Lesa - sorry to hear you lost your post - but because Lilly woke up? Definitely worth it!

Thanks for the info! I didn't even know what a stage door was. :rolleyes1 Oh...I didn't mean to be confusing about the bags...I meant for me to sneak into on your next trip.:rotfl: Hey...Linda's got them full of World of Dinsey merchandise!

Linda...you've got a one track mind!:thumbsup2

Angela...I kept thinking Chef Mickey's but it looked a little different. Just means it's time for us to go back. Connor looks very tall (off the growth charts) for a 2nd grader (hope I got his grade right). Is you DH tall too? Glad you had a great trip.:goodvibes

Good morning, Crew!!!! I think we're in for a little rain today...and I was wanting to grill out this evening. Oh, well, maybe over the weekend!!
Since we've been at the Poly the last couple of mornings; why don't we hop on the monorail and have breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table??!!princess:
Here are some fruit and pastries to get us started.

I've got a few minutes before I have to get ready for work, so I'm going to make the best of it!!!

Ashley:: You little genius, you!!! A dentist in Florida? Why didn't I think of that?:confused3 I had to go yesterday for my crown prep....not fun.

Angela:: I thought that was Chef Mickey's, but I've never been there.:guilty: I've made an ADR for Aug.2nd for dinner!!!:woohoo:

Lesa:: I'm glad your babysitting is going well!!! Little Lilly will just keep you tired and out of trouble.:teeth:
Tell Michele I said " Hi!!"

Dznyfan:: I didn't get a chance to get on the Dis last night. I decided to clean Nathan's bathroom instead.:scared: I plan on reading your trippie tonight!!:thumbsup2

Well, I gotta run. Talk to you later and have a great day everyone!!!:dance3:

Good Morning!

Donna, ooh breakfast in the castle!
That reminds me. My mom was asking how much spending money to take to WDW. We were going over what she may want and I mentioned that Mike and I would pay for a breakfast OOP (since we have too many TS meals and we are on the DDP). Anyway, I happened to say it was $20 for her and $10 for my brother. She freaked! She said she could eat a Poptart for way less. I reminded her that we were eating there, so we could be in the park early. I'm glad we are on the dining plan, because she would have a nervous breakdown at the cost of some places.

DznyFan, loved the trip report. I makes me want to go to NYC now. I've never been, but Mike and I want to go; it's not a very long drive.

Ashley, it sounds like you decided on a better plan. I can't imagine paying for insurance and not being able to actually use it.

Linda, did you see the disneyshopping site? They are having a sale (30% off collectibles among other things).

We watched AI last night. I have to say, I think Sanjaya is growing on me. I don't think he's depressed (as it has been reported). He didn't sound that bad last night and the hair made me laugh. I still like Blake best and I didn't like Jordin at all last night.

Have a great day all!

It was our first visit to Chef Mickey's and my worst fear came true at the podium, our reservation showed cancelled!:scared1: And at the moment we walked up a group of 130 high school seniors on their class trip walked in!! Fortunately we only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table and all worked out well. Yes Connor is way off the growth charts for height, Darin is 6'1" but the height comes from my side. My brother is 6'5", my grandpa was 6'5" and one of my Uncles is about 6'4" (these are both on my mom's side). Ben is going to be tall I think but more in the normal range probably 6'0". Connor does have twins in his class that are about 2 inches taller than him but they are also a year older, they started K when they were 6.

Anyway Chef Mickey's was great and we will definetely go back again, we also did Whispering Canyon which was a lot of fun too. Our server was hysterical and the kids loved running the ketchup bottles to the next table. I had never been in the Wilderness Lodge and it was really beautiful, Darin wants to stay there next trip.

Donna thanks for the yummy breakfast, I think I'll have to wait for grandaughters before I get to eat in the castle!!

Dznyfan I need to read your trip report, I'd love to write one but I wonder how interesting it would be!

Oh I forgot to tell you we were awarded a dream at check-in at the Poly, a set of the Tinkerbell year of a million dreams pins, one to keep and one to give away. Of course Connor was told he could keep his and give the other to his brother so that's what we did. Also at the gift shop at the Poly a really nice CM gave Connor & Ben a pin off her lanyard just because. Very Sweet. Of course Connor's lanyard is weighed down so he used his money to buy a pin trading book and so that's his new obsession pin collecting!

That's not an April fools joke is it:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: I can't wait!!:woohoo:

Hey...Linda's got them full of World of Dinsey merchandise!
Linda...you've got a one track mind!:thumbsup2
:rolleyes1 ::yes:: that is SO true. I want to go to World of Disney!!!!

Angela:: I thought that was Chef Mickey's, but I've never been there.:guilty: I've made an ADR for Aug.2nd for dinner!!!:woohoo:
crown prep:guilty: oh, I hate those things...Ashley definitely had the right idea!! You'll love Chef Mickeys! Last year was our first time, but I wanted to take Kenny. I'm not big on buffets at all...but it was more for the character interaction. You'll have a great time. We ate at Concourse Steakhouse too... which is right beside Chef Mickeys...and Kenny loved being able to see the characters from there too, while they were waiting to go out into the dining room. Thanks for a wonderful breakfast...I love CRT...we ate dinner there and watched the fireworks from inside the castle....so cool!!! Sorry...one track mind again:laughing:

That how my mom would be too! I love the ddp too. I kept all our receipts and added up what it cost vs. what the ddp cost per day... Whooo...we saved several hundred. Now of coarse normally I wouldn't order an appetizer OR a dessert...but it was nice to try new things and new places. And getting in the park early:cool1: can't beat that!!!
I just saw my email w/the codes:woohoo: I'll have to order that new Hollywood snowglobe..hey...I don't see the matching Olszewski building that matched it:confused: they must have taken it off so you can't get the discount on it? But the Armani stuff is on there:cloud9: Now, I've seen those cheaper on ebay;). I agree... Jordin last night... not good! I was cracking up at Sanjaya's hair...I thought Gina did pretty good, compared to her other performances.

Glad CM got it worked out and you didn't have to wait long! I was thinking that too... Connor looks so tall!! Kenny is just a tiny thing...so I'm use to him being the smallest....I'm only 5'3" and his dad is about 5'8" or so.... I'll have to go to WC next time. I haven't been there in years! I love the WL... even though the x and I got married there. Connor has caught the pin trading fever!! I've collected them, but never traded. Kenny would love that too. Yay for the dream team score!! We got those too... they gave them to Mike at the AK. It was only Mike and Kenny at the AK first thing while I was off to EE for a quick ride  I loved your pix!!! Mike wants to stay at the Poly too!!!:cloud9: That would be so wonderful!!!

Lesa... sorry you lost your post! Lilly is worth it:cloud9: I'm sure you're enjoying every moment of it while you have it. I'm sure you can notice how much she's grown since last time you saw her too!! Get your rest while you can ;)

Hope everybody has a great day:flower3: I'm so glad it's finally spring:cloud9:

donna, breakfast looks wonderful - thanks!!

Hope you have some big bags.;) ;)

You mean you can't fit into the dance bag???? :lmao: I think it was Linda's one track mind that confused me - I was packing it full of merchandise too! But.... the good news is, we have a HUGE suitcase!!

Angela, I loved your photos - you had a great view at the Poly! Looks like a wonderful trip.

Have a great day, everybody!

Oh, Linda! Did you guys like the Concourse steakhouse? I forgot to tell you that we had to add 2 days to our trip to acommodate our airline tickets... long story.... but we still have 3 or four dinners we need to book, and DH has always wanted to go there. We've been the the Yachtsman and loved it. (except for the price)

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Nicole - I didn't know you'd gone before - did you just love it??

I've been a couple times on school trips. It is just an amazing city! I love everything about it! I want to go back, maybe in a few years.

Amber- Since you live close to NYC, GO!!!!!!! It is so worth it!

Woohoo! Disney is going to be on the Travel Channel on April Fools Day!

donna, breakfast looks wonderful - thanks!!

You mean you can't fit into the dance bag???? :lmao: I think it was Linda's one track mind that confused me - I was packing it full of merchandise too! But.... the good news is, we have a HUGE suitcase!!

Go - if you're within driving distance, go! It's just such a great experience!

I totally agree w/ your Blake and Jordin thoughts. I suspect Sanjaya is still on because he's memorable! He may not be the best (by far), but he's unique. SNL had a skit about him this past Saturday (we always watch, but we had to watch this week to see Erin's husband-to-be.... :lmao: ). I didn't see AI the previous 2 weeks so it was good to catch up. I've got to go back and watch the TIVO for Sanjaya's performance just so I can see what he did.

Angela, I loved your photos - you had a great view at the Poly! Looks like a wonderful trip.

Have a great day, everybody!
sorry...didn't mean to confuse you:rolleyes1 ...yeah...Sanjaya is memorable! Had to see Erins husband-to-be:laughing:

yeah...it was nice. We went at lunchtime....so it was pretty empty and quiet. It was actually on our wedding day! I was wearing a shirt w/an iron on w/the castle and it had our names...and our "happily ever after" w/the date..and our waitress was like...that's TODAY! Yeah.... she couldn't believe how calm and relaxed we both were. Then she went crazy w/the extras!! Kenny was loving it! They brought him his drink w/the light up ice cubes and gave him one to take home. they brought us champagne and strawberries, complimentary of coarse;) she told the other staff about it and they were coming over and congratulating us... and checking out my shirt:laughing: They brought us a certificate that they all signed...and Kenny a cupcake w/sprinkles all over it... they tried to make it really special:cloud9: it was awesome!! The food was pretty good... I'm a huge steak person...so I can't say it was the best steak ever...but it was good. Yachtsman was better of coarse ;) I can't remember for sure...but I don't think they had filet at lunch... maybe not even at dinner. I'll have to look... it was a good meal... we'll have to try California Grill sometime too! To be honest... Mike enjoyed Le Cellier the best of all. Best steak we had on the trip:love: He actually asked me why I didn't make adr's for there twice:confused3 I didn't know he'd like it THAT much... oh well, next time!
