Good morning everyone!

Happy Birhtday Donna's Mom!!!!!!

Donna-- I love that Bakery! Yummmmmm!

Okay-- so we woke up to about 5 inches of snow and it's still snowing so today (since I'm still on a beach kick) I'm going here:

Ok, I'll get over this beach thing soon, I promise;)

Ok, now I'm depressed!:sad1:

Nick is too funny about what he wants to do when he grows up. I know some of you were talking the other day about how you are adults and still don't know what you want to be when you 'grow up' ( add me to that list, by the way) Nick has known since he was 4 years old that he is going to be a veterinarian when he grows up. Completely sure! Of course at the time he was also going to marry Anna, his little girlfriend; they were both going to go to Michigan State, become vets, get married and live on a farm. Well he hasn't seen Anna since they were 5 but the rest still fits. In 8th grade our school has the kids take an EDP test (education development plan) It tries to tell what a kid should consider as a career based on their interests and then you can plan what classes you take based on that info. Bunch of nonsense for most but....Nick's came back this week...he should be a VET!!

Every once in while tho he will mention that he wants to be an animator, on his days off:rotfl: .
I think I need one of those tests. I am so jealous of people who know what they want to do when they grow up. Surely, it's got to make life easier! That was my middle sister, the teacher. She just always knew. Me? Not so much.

Can you imagine what that lady thought with that phone call?? I need a reservation for me and some people I've never met before. How am I supposed to know what she needs? Just give us everything and we'll figure it out when we get there!!:confused3 :lmao:

I'm confused...why aren't you guys going to 'Ohana's? I don't think I will be going either. I don't know about Lesa but I really didn't care for the food there. I was just going to do some CS place and have time to do the rides
I know. :rotfl: And that's kind of how the conversation went. I told her, I'm coming down to meet a group of my friends whom I've never met before. I guess she thought that was funny cause she chuckled. Maybe it was a nervous chuckle? :scratchin

We're not going to Ohana's because we don't really care for the food selection. But, we still plan on meeting up with the group after dinner so that we can watch the Electrical Water Pageant @ the Poly beach at 9:00pm.

The lady told me that there is a Spectro at 7:00pm on this Saturday so maybe we'll be able to catch some of it before we're seated. :thumbsup2

Lyzziesmom - look at Miss Emma!!! she's so adorable. Was the photo of the statue taken at night? That was a really cool photo, by the way!!

Thanks! That statue is on my back patio, it was one of the things that didn't sell in the estate sale so it came with the house and I love it! The picture was taken at about 2pm, but I took it through the window so the light came out looking really cool. Emma was really hamming it up in her Princess dress wasn't she? She's bugging me right now to put it back on.

April: Too funny about the footies!! I hate sleeping with anything on my feet. I end up with a pile of socks next to my bed from pulling them off in the middle of the night - some of them always end up UNDER the bed! So if I have any orphan socks, I know where to look.

The CP ADR sounds great! Yes, Emma definitely needs a high chair, or else she will be chasing the characters all over the room - and that mean I will be chasing HER all over the room. Not the way I like to spend my dinner. Thanks for making the ADR! I figure we can hop the monorail or a boat launch over to the Poly afterwards to meet everyone else at the Poly beach for our Lapu Lapu's and the Elec. Water Pageant at 9. If we miss it, no biggie. Would you mind PMing me with the confirmation #? Thanks again luv!!

April:: My socks usually end up on the floor by the side of the bed!!:rotfl2:

Mine too! Thanks for the pastries... My parents came over to help around the house and brought Krispy Kreme. Yummy!

Michele: April and I were not finding anything we cared for the 'Ohana menu. The only thing I would have eaten is the steak, but I heard it is very rare and I like mine well done. Since it is a fixed price, I don't want to pay $35 or so for some steak I won't really like. Plus I wanted to get in one more character meal for Emma. If we couldn't get in to CP I was going to just go with a CS place. I bet that phone call was funny! When I called to make some ADR's they were asking about the kids' ages, and I forgot how old Kenny is, so I just guessed 4? They thought it was weird that I didn't know!

I took the girls outside to play in the snow this morning, we built a snowman, made snow angels, and had an all-around good time. Pics to come soon as soon as I get them loaded.

Have a Super Sunday, and stay warm!!

Meeting on the beach for the Electrical Water Pageant sounds great!! I love Spectro too. OH!! I'm starting to get excited.

I have to get my summer clothes out of the attic...I hope they still fit:sad2: Things are feeling a bit uncomfortable lately.:scared:

That's what happened when I called Disney Dining and they asked Emma's age. I was like 2 (??????) because I remember Lyzziesmom saying she can still get in for free so I was thinking she's got to be under three. I did explain to the lady about us coming in from all over the country because there were too many of those "Uuuhhhh..." deer in the headlight look (she couldn't see it but she could hear it). Because Sherri and I are on the DDP so I had to explain how part of our party was on the DDP and the other half wasn't. At first she was like, "Your whole party has to be on the DDP." So, I had to explain how we were actually meeting at the Crystal Palace. Then the age/highchair thing. So finally I just told her, "Hey, I'm meeting the nicest people I've never met before."

Love the last comment!!! I can't believe we are the only people who have ever done something like this:confused3 :lmao: I'll bet they have heard a bunch of strange stories!:cool2:

April: I can't believe they gave you a hard time about the DDP! When I made some ADR's, I just told them that some of us are on it and some are not and they said okay. It really does depend on who you get. I'm getting so excited, I can't believe this trip has come together and is actually happening!! Does anyone remember when we started talking about it? I think we were kind of half joking, and now here we are, less than two weeks out.

Wow.

Remember that picture I posted yesterday of my little backyard statue? This is what it looks like today:

And a close up of one of our trees (I'm really proud of this silly little picture - I just love how it came out):

Our house covered in snow:

And now for a few pics of the kids out in the snow. Emma was not too sure about walking around. Lyzzie said she looks like a girl version of the little brother in A Christmas Story!

They built a snowman...

But it was nothing compared to the one the next door neighbors built! The lady across the street said she saw them out there at 4am making the snowman. That's just crazy!!

Lyzzie helped shovel the driveway, and then really enjoyed her Krispy Kreme.

Great pictures, Lyzziesmom!! Looks too cold for me.

Emma is so cute all bundled up like that. :cutie:

I really like that one of Lyzzie in front of that big 'ol snowman!

4am???? The sun's not even awake that early.

Hey, has anyone seen that new show Rob and Amber Agains the Odds that is playing on the Fox Reality Channel? Why am I saw drawn to these two? :sad2: I don't know but I am. And I am helping to contribute to their pockets w/ my continued watching.

On one of the episodes Rob says, "We just got back from overseas" and then when they're waking up he's like, "What time is it?" and Amber's like "I don't know 9 maybe 10."
I don't know, maybe it was a Saturday or Sunday.
Then he makes another comment, "I could never go back to a 9 to 5 job."

I mean, hey, they did win the money but talk about 15 minutes of fame. :rolleyes1

In one part Amber and Rob are arguing and she says something like, "Look at you rolling around like your Brad Pitt or something! You're just a t.v. Reality Star. Get over yourself!"

Hi, guys and gals!!
I've got Mom's birthday cake out of the oven now and Nathan is outside playing. Lyzziesmom, Nathan is going to be sooo jealous when he sees your snow pics, which were great, btw!!:thumbsup2
I got my contact in this morning and I only dropped it 3 times. This is going to take me extra time in the morning until I can get used it.

Our trip is just 12 days away for me, I'm getting so excited!!!:woohoo:
I'm looking forward to eating at restaurants that I've never had an opportunity to eat at before..... and just taking the time to enjoy myself.

Need to run to the store soon, we're getting low on milk and some of the essentials.

April: I haven't seen that Rob & Amber show but it sounds like they are really milking their 15 mins (must be nice!) - which show were they originally on? :3dglasses I don't follow too much reality tv anymore, except American Idol and occasional episodes of whatever might be on, but usually I end up just wanting to slap somebody. I used to love The Real World, the first few seasons I watched religiously! popcorn:: Then it just got ridiculous with all the challenges and obvious casting and stuff, plus I think I outgrew the age group a bit. I did love the outrageous ones they did, like the Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire (boy was that guy a jerk! No wonder he had to resort to tv to find someone willing to marry him) and The Littlest Groom - remember that one? It was so offensive, it was hilarious. I guess I have a somewhat warped sense of humor.

Donna: I've been wearing contacts since I was 14 and I still have days where I need extra time in the morning. I had to get into a routine, because once or twice I put them both in the same eye together! I wear daily disposables because my eyes are so sensitive, so sometimes I will give them to the kids to throw away. Emma calls them "bubbles from Mommy's eyes," it's so funny! I have to watch her though, or she will try to put them in her own eyes. Happy birthday to your Mom! Too funny that her name is Wilma... even funnier that you didn't make the connection until now.

Where is everyone today? I hope 2x and Ashley are feeling alright  .

Good afternoon!

Donna...I can't believe it's so close and I'm really looking forward to our ADR's. We will enjoy and relax! :woohoo: Hopefully I will shut up long enough to eat some of the yummy food.:rolleyes1 Thanks for the pastries.:yay:

lyzziesmom...how much snow did you get. Great job on the snowman!

Hi April...looks like you might have a good chance of picking up some Disney crocs at the World! The red ones are nice if they are out of black.

Michele...I have a good friend that moved from MI last year to Denver. She didn't like so much snow and cold.:rotfl: I was talking to her mom today at church and I felt so informed with the weather situation in both states since we get almost daily reports from you and Yolanda! Needless to say she's still having her share of snow! It's so nice that our ice in Oklahoma is melting away. It's so dity and grungy with the sand and salt. I'm ready for WDW!

Hey, I used to watch The Real World  but I think we're around the same age. I too think it got to be too scripted and outrageous. The first few seasons I think were real strangers picked to live in a house and that's how it played out. . . I think the last season of The Real World that I watched all the way through, from beginning to end was The Real World New Orleans which I think was in 2000.

Anyway, Rob and Amber got there start on Survivor. I did not see the original Survivior shows that they were on because for some reason it seemed like when Survivor wasn't centered around water (like when they were in the Outback in Australia or in the Bush in Africa) I didn't watch/couldn't get into it. :confused3 I was hooked on the first ever Survivor but the next two back to back seasons were Australia Outback and Africa Bush and try as I might for some reason I just could NOT get into it like I had the first season. Perhaps other people have the problem too because now they all seem to be on islands or at least near bodies of water. In the fourth show of Survivor they were back in the water in the Marquesas Islands. And I've watched ever since except for this last season when they broke the tribes up into race. I was moving and I kind of thought it was VERY stupid to break them up into race. I just thought that was so stupid plus like I said we were moving.

Anyway (I know, I already said that) Rob and Amber came back on the All-Stars episodes. Where they brought back prior players to compete. Rob Mariono (or also known as Boston Rob) was sneaky and deceitful and would turn on his own mother to win. Amber was a sweet innocent girl who had made an alliance with others. Somehow Boston Rob got her to turn on her alliance and join him (the dark side). Apparently, they were falling in love through all of this drama. In the end Amber won the Million Dollars and the car (which no winner of the car before this had ever go on to win the million dollars). Rob came in in second place after also winning a car and he walked away with $100,000. On the Survivor Finale when they all come back together Rob proposed to Amber and of course she said yes.

Then, they went on to do the Amazing Race and came in in second place on that show after lying and deceiving and switching there way around on that show.

Then CBS did Rob and Amber get married where you got see their house in Pensacola, FL. And Rob was flying all over the country like to Las Vegas where he was buying whole stores of furniture to furnish this new home. And you got to see their wedding at the Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Now, they're doing Rob and Amber Against the Odds where Rob is now learning to be a professional poker player. Amber doesn't want him to be. She says she ready to settle down into married life (there's the conflict every show needs) So they've moved out to Las Vegas for 3 months to give Rob his chance to train w/ a professional Poker Player. You should see the apartment they're renting. Oh, and they didn't drive out there w/ a UHaul like you and I would. No, they just flew out there and they're allowed to "use" furniture provided buy Aria Home Stores while they're out there.

Talk about milking their 15 minutes of fame. Heck, I'd do it too, probably. :rotfl:

Hi YM, Nicole and Donna.

Happy Birthday Donnas mom :cake: :bday:
Thats too bad about the kids on Nathans "team". How else are the supposed to learn if you're not teaching them now?:confused3 I thought that was instruction meant:confused: They GIVE you instructions??? Good luck Nathan. Hope the last 2 games aren't so dirty.

Good luck w/the contact. I wore them before I had surgery. They were great for every day use. My problem was that I love to swim, I didn't like losing contacts I paid way too much for in a pool!:sad2: So the surgery was well worth it for me. You'll get use to it pretty quick. I started out w/hard contacts:eek: talk about bothersome!!!

lyzziesmom...these adr calls are too cute :)!!! Kenny will be 6 Feb.19th ;) Emma is turning 3 in a few months right?:rolleyes1

Well I'm officially down to single digits. We're heading south in 9 days:banana:
Today I washed all my clothes and got about everything packed and ready to go:laundy:

my buddy from work called me yesterday to inform me he was staring at my ship!!!:rotfl: The carnival boat was right by the disney one. He said "I'm staring at 2 mickey heads" that BRAT!

YM... isn't great how someone will start talking about someone from another state and we know all about b/c our dis buddies. I love it. Everytime Mike says something about the weather, its like...Oh so and so lives there. :cool1: I hope Kennys shuts up enough for us to talk:cool2: He will, I'LL MAKE HIM ;)

Nick wants to be a vet. That's awesome! Kenny says that sometimes too, but that changes quite a bit.

Ashley:hug: 2x:hug: hope you're feeling better today!

Hope you're all having a great weekend. We're getting snow... :scared: yuck!

Wow April, you sure know your Rob and Amber shows. I watched Survivor but that's about all of them. I try to watch all the survivors. That was about the only reality tv shows I watched until Mike got me watching American Idol. I just don't have that much time to watch tv... Or if I do, I'm on here instead:laughing:

Oh, yea, I meant to mention in my novel ^ above that we too watch American Idol. We just actually got into last year and we watched it from beginning to end. And I'm not just saying this but we were routing for Taylor before they even said "Yes. You're going to Hollywood, Baby!" See, Steven is a HUGE blues fan. I mean he can name off blues legends and (people I've never heard of) like we can name Britany Spears or Madonna. All of his presets on XM are blues. He loves the House of Blues. If you go onto his MySpace it's a blues tune called Bullfrog Blues. He's just a blues dude so when he heard Taylor well, that was all she wrote.

Anyway. We've not been blown away so far and by the looks of it, neither have the judges.
