Oh no! That was the only thing on the menu that appealed to me! I wonder if they could cook it more if I asked very nicely? I hate to go and not find anything to eat, especially since it's fixed price. I might end up skipping it and going somewhere else that day.

I'm sure they would cook it more if you asked. We didn't bother though, because everything else was so good.

DznyFan: Do you guys have Texas Roadhouse where you live? They serve their sweet potatoes with caramel sauce and butter... yummm!!
Yes we do! I haven't been in at least a couple years, though - I don't know if I've had their sweet potatoes - it doesn't sound familiar, but sounds REALLY good.

Good Morning! Thanks for the eggs Donna!
My, what a chatty bunch lately!:hyper2: :hyper2:

Thanks to everyone for welcoming me.
I just wanted to introduce myself a little more formally. I'm Jeni, a single mom with two great kids DS7-Brandon and DD3-Josie. I live in sunny SWFL but the cold snap this week is making me feel a little blue. :headache:
Does the weather affect anyone else's moods?
:welcome: The weather most definitely effects my mood! Any sunny day during the winter I'm like a cat seeking out the best sun spot!:sunny:

well, we found some evidence from our theif...he left a magazine and a job application from the business across the street:eek: the boss went over there and they had a complete description of the guy, he was snooping around there and got caught! The police won't even come out:confused3 guess there isn't anything more we can do. Pretty crazy. They're going to start locking the door and put a buzzer at the door. That makes me feel better!
The thief doesn't sound very bright!:rolleyes1 I hope they catch him! That is so cute that Kenny is doing wrestling. I can't wait to see pictures!

On Monday morning, I'm going to get a molar extracted! (note inflection of sarcasm).
Good luck Monday!pixiedust: My dentist has been trying for years to take out my molars. I only have the top 2 and (a little trivia) without the bottom ones to stop them, they keep growing. I keep telling him their with me till I die or until they are digging in my bottom gums!:rolleyes1

I am still feeling blah. Mike and decided we are ready to have a child. We have been trying for a couple months now and I thought this month was it. Well, it's not looking promising. I've read that it can take several months, but I was really hoping that it wouldn't take long. We haven't really told people (we told his best friend, but that's the only one who knows in real life). I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, but I am just feeling a little down.
Good luck to you and Mike!pixiedust:

Uh oh... you will hate what I do to my steak. Due to my food issues, any meat I may eat must be thoroughly cooked. If it is even slightly still bleeding, I can not eat it. I'm talking cooked, gray, no pink at all. So, that's strike one. And then I smother it in steak sauce. Strike two. I rarely order steak at a nice fancy steak place, because they get all :snooty: about it. HOWEVER... I enjoy it that way, and that is how I will be eating it at LeCellier. :cutie:
My steaks still moo on the plate!:rolleyes1 Cute picture of Emma, booger and all!

Pozey...Funny story about the Mickey head! Are your eyes bleeding with all the girl talk going on?:rotfl2:

Dznyfan...Good luck with Erin's call back!pixiedust:

Ashley...I love your family photos! You look a lot like your mom!
Hi Jeremiah! My Dh isn't brave enough to join us. He's afraid of what I might have posted about him!:lmao:

Kcork1026 :welcome: Join us anytime!

2x2...Glad to see you checked in! I hope your saving your energy for our convention!:)

April...Good luck on the job hunt! pixiedust:

Hello to anyone else I may have forgotten!

Yesterday I had to take Madison for her flu shot. I had to make dh take off early to go with us because I knew exactly how it was going to go. Not well! She was fine up until the nurse came in with the shot, then that was it!:sad2: When dh finally got her to calm down a new nurse came in (the other one gave up:rolleyes: ) she had little patience. She finally got the shot in Madison's shoulder and oh my...the scream that child let out!

I called to schedule my ME on Tuesday. The guy that did it was not the brightest. I kept asking him if everything was correct because the resie is in Michele's name. Well he assured me that it was. I asked him if he needed my address and he said no. I told him we were coming from different states. After reading lizziesmom's post about how the ME works, I was like how on earth am I going to get my tags if he didn't take my address. So I just got off the phone and good thing I called. The reservation didn't have my name on it properly and my luggage tags are on their way to Michele. So Michele send them when you get them, please! pirate:

I guess I need to go shopping at Walmat so I can fit in with the dress code!:rotfl:

Oh, poor Madison!
With ME and a regular ressie, can they send the ME stuff to someone other than whom the reservation name is? with DVC, if we use ME, and I make the ressie but it is for someone else, they have to send the tags to me - then I forward them on to whomever they belong to. (like my stepsons's last trip)

Yes we do! I haven't been in at least a couple years, though - I don't know if I've had their sweet potatoes - it doesn't sound familiar, but sounds REALLY good. We've got Texas Roadhouse, Lone Star, and Logans. In fact, they're putting in a Lone Star about a mile from my house. Now I want steak and sweet potatoes!
Speaking of the Lone Star by your house..........what's the deal with it? It is just sitting there about 3/4 finished. And has been sitting there in that state for about 2 months? Are they ever going to complete it? Or is it going to sit there unfinished for a year like the Lone Star at 71st and 169?

I'm not sure! They didn't mention that when I asked, that may very well be.:confused3

Lesa: Good thing you got your ME stuff straightened out! Sometimes those guys on the phone are less than stellar - you'd think they'd know what to do, since it's their JOB and all.

I had a molar extracted last year, it had cracked and needed to go. I am such a chicken (and since local anesthesia doesn't work well on me) I paid extra to be under general anesthesia. It was great, I didn't feel a thing! I did have to take the rest of the day off of work though.

They weren't very clear on the phone. Do you put your ME tags on your luggage before you check it?

Lyzziesmom, that is SO me.

YES! Put the yellow ME tags on your luggage before you leave home. The airline people won't touch them.

Also, if there is more than one person on your reservation, they will send two tags for each person in your party. (Not sure if this is true for you, since your flight info is different.) It doesn't matter whose tags are on whose bags, as long as they are all going to the same room. For example, I received two tags with my name and two with Emma's name. I can put any of the four tags on my luggage and it won't matter which name is on the tag, since all the bags are being delivered to the same room. They are coded by the reservation number, which will tell the ME people when they scan the tag which room to deliver the bags to. Does that make sense?

That makes sense, thank you! My only problem is if Michele doesn't get my tags in time to send them to me, then I'm not sure what to do. How long after calling did you get your stuff in the mail?

I'm not sure. I made my ME reservations online when I reserved my package and I don't remember how long it took before I got the tags & docs. You might want to call them again and see if you can talk to a supervisor, explain the problem and ask if they can be sent directly to your house.

I don't know what the deal is. It's kind of frustrating, because it looks finished, yet there's nothing happening with it. Looks to me like it'll be exactly like the 71st location's delayed opening. But didn't that holdup have something to do with the easement or something? Usually if we want a steak, I'll just go up to the store and pick up a nice thick filet, and throw it on the Hasty Bake.
All this steak talk is making me really hungry for a big juicy Filet!!

As for the Lone Star at 71st and 169. I believe what happened there, is that Lone Star actually built the restaurant IN THE WRONG LOCATION. :lmao: I'm not sure WHERE it was supposed to go - maybe where Krispy Kreme is? - but that's the story I have heard. But why didn't someone say something BEFORE construction?? :confused3 Anyway.....Lone Star and Lowe's had some kind of legal battle before Lone Star was allowed to open.

I must confess...I never really liked my lime green ones....they are nice to mow in (not that I mow often). These black Disney ones with the red strap look much better. I might wear them on the plane since they are easy to slip on and off. Hey...I'll take lyzziesmom suggestion and wear some birght fuzzy lime green Tinker Bell socks so the Disney shapes will show!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: You could always get them for you Disney trips...and then venture out if you feel comfortable!
That's a great idea about the lime green socks. I actually received a pair last year during the Lime Green Exchange over on the Exchange board. That would be perfect. Then we really could be totally matching!! :cutie:

Good morning, Crew!! It's supposed to be warmer here in Illinois today, but the rain is supposed to start again!!! I think I'll have an omelet this morning with some potatoes on the side. Care to join me?

Lyzziesmom, I think I see some French toast on the next plate!

GOOD LUCK LIN!! Hope everything went fantastic for her. But, she'll have a blast at Ragland Road!!

Good Morning

April, it does sound like you'd be great for that job. I'm wishing you all the best! I know what you mean about the salary. On a previous job, I made WAY more than I ever had before. It was weird to be making so much, but I worked hard and my boss thought that I did deserve that much (and more, I got a raise shortly after I started). Good luck!!

Thanks, Amber. I appreciate it.
I wish you all the best in you endeavors.
I, though, can not offer up any advice. I've been married for nine years. I've seen fertility specialists, had surgery (because I had endometriosis so bad and it was soooo painful that they had to take my left tube and ovary) and laid in positions until I thought my backbone would break and still nothing. Oh, and one failed adoption. I still tend to get in the bitter barn :sad2: every now and then but my attitude is actually getting better and now I'm just starting to imagine my life with out kids. Trying to see all the positives about it instead of the negatives. Never thought that would be possible.
Good luck to you!

Sounds like you have all the qualifications. Wishing you all the best in that you get the position.
Thanks, Pozey.

Lyzziesmom:: I'm thinking the same thing. I've looked over the menu and I'm not digging it. I was going to go if everyone else went but PLEASE let me know if you choose to go somewhere else. I will definately go with you. I'm with you, I hate to go and not find anything to eat, especially since it's a fixed price. I'm right there with you so let me know.
That makes sense, thank you! My only problem is if Michele doesn't get my tags in time to send them to me, then I'm not sure what to do. How long after calling did you get your stuff in the mail?
The other thing you could do, Lesa, is just wait for your luggage and actually take it with you on ME. That's what we always do anyway. I know it might be a pain and you may not want to do it that way but if you don't get your tags, you could always just grab your bags and bring 'em with you.

April: I'm going to look over the menus again, but I'm thinking the 'Ohana night might just be a good time for me to get in my Chef Mickey's fix. I just know how much Emma loves the characters over there, and since it's a buffet we both tend to eat a little better for the money. And then we can hop the monorail from the Contemporary over to the Poly and join everyone else at the Poly beach for the Elect. Water Pageant at 9pm. I'll decide within a couple of days. Anyone else interested in maybe joining us at Chef Mickey's on Saturday the 3rd?

OOhh, Chef Mickey's. I've never eaten there. That would be great. Keep me posted because we'll go with you. Unless of course, Sherri still wants to eat at the Poly then she'll go with the rest of the group but I'm all for Chef Mickey's.

Linda: I was really bad at Longhorn yesterday! I had the Kansas City strip (my favorite because there is very little fat) and a sweet potato loaded with butter and cinnamon sugar... and then I had dessert! I forget what it was called, but it was sooooo good - a giant glass with cinnamon ice cream in the bottom, then strawberries, chunks of fried cheesecake in a crispy oatmeal coating, whipped cream, strawberry sauce and caramel. Even between Lyzzie and I, we couldn't eat very much of it but I just HAD to try it - and it was totally worth it!

That does sound good!

Agreed!! A steak that is seasoned well, and cooked correctly needs nothing but a knife and fork. :cool1:

Yes :thumbsup2
Here you go pozey....
