Hi everyone!!!

I thought it was so fun that Jeremiah came and posted on here. I was so laughing so hard because I didn't expect it, (also because he didn't formally introduce himself! ) but I guess its not hard for him to find considering the title!!!!

YM- That picture is actually from a couple years ago (maybe 4) when my parents met Jeremiah for the first time. I didn't know I had it but he found it and posted it from photobucket, needing no explanation from me!! Smart boy.


Your guys soups sound so good! I confess, I'm not a very good cook. I know like 5 different recipes and those always turn out good- but new recipes, not so much.


I really, really really really want to start planning the next Cliqueless meet!!! Jeremiah wants to come too if work cooperates!

OK- we're off to watch The Flinestones!!! (the movie thumb) I'll talk to you all tomorrow!!!


P.S. Jeremiah was just THRILLED when he found out I posted his mannequin picture!!!! and he says "hello" and 'nice to meet you' to all of you!!

I must confess...I never really liked my lime green ones....they are nice to mow in (not that I mow often). These black Disney ones with the red strap look much better. I might wear them on the plane since they are easy to slip on and off. Hey...I'll take lyzziesmom suggestion and wear some birght fuzzy lime green Tinker Bell socks so the Disney shapes will show! You could always get them for you Disney trips...and then venture out if you feel comfortable!

April, it does sound like you'd be great for that job. I'm wishing you all the best! I know what you mean about the salary. On a previous job, I made WAY more than I ever had before. It was weird to be making so much, but I worked hard and my boss thought that I did deserve that much (and more, I got a raise shortly after I started). Good luck!!

YM, I'm glad you found some crocs. My Disney crocs are supposed to be delivered today. I read that they fit more snug than the regular ones, so I hope I got the right size.

I am still feeling blah. Mike and decided we are ready to have a child. We have been trying for a couple months now and I thought this month was it. Well, it's not looking promising. I've read that it can take several months, but I was really hoping that it wouldn't take long. We haven't really told people (we told his best friend, but that's the only one who knows in real life). I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, but I am just feeling a little down.

Well, I am finished my masterpiece. The resumes.

I REALLY, REALLY want this one job that I've been stressing over w/ the resume! I am totally qualified and it is RIGHT up my alley but I'm intimidated by the pay. Does that make any sense? Like, I am totally qualified for the position and it's stuff I LOVE doing but the pay is higher than I have EVER made and I'm feeling really insecure, like I'm not worth that much. Does this make any sense at all?

And also, some of my experience was not obtained on the job but it is what I do every day, week, year. It has to do with budgeting. I love budgeting. I do a monthly budget every month for us and every week I do a weekly allocated spending report . . . I give every dollar a name before I spend it. ~Dave Ramsey would be so proud

~ This is one of the reasons we're able to be debt free and have a savings. It's ok, you can call me a nerd.

I am the family nerd.

Anyway, I love doing budgets and 25% of the job duties is dealing with budgets... "In collaboration with the college budget center, execute and/or administer financial transactions on behalf of the Department of Performing ARts and the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts for the following accounts..."
And the accounts are large money accounts. No sweat, if I can budget $50,000. I know I could budget $245,000, right?

Also, 10% of this position is "Serve as Chief Human Resrouce Office for the Department of Performing Arts. . ." Well, I've never been a human resources manager but I was a HR Assistant II and I am very proficient/familiar with hiring, collecting time sheets, maintaining employee records (while maintaining confidentiality ) and even conducting exit interviews.

So (it's like I'm still talking in resume lingo. "Maintained, Responsible, Collaborated. . .) so, I really REALLY want this job but I'm feeling really intimidated. Don't know why, but I do.

Amber don't get discouraged!!! It took me almost 2 years and a few miscarriages to finally get pregnant with Kenny. I'm telling you, when it is meant to happen, it will happen. We had finally decided to just give up for the summer and stop worrying, thinking about it..and guess what... ding ding ding....that is all it took. I finally just relaxed and stopped worrying about everything. I took so many ovulation tests, so many pregnancy test finally that day... I knew I would get pregnant, I knew it would be a boy and guess what....that was Kenny as you now know... I wouldn't change anything that happened for the world. He is such a blessing from god. I'm going to stop now or I'm going to be a total mess as I sit here w/tears running down my face!!! Good luck and it will be ok!! We're here for you!

Thank you for that. It's just hard when you finally feel ready and then it doesn't happen right away. It took my MIL 10 years before she had Mike, so I know it doesn't always happen right away. I'm trying to not let it get me down.
