Did somebody mention beignets? That give me a marvelous idea!!!

Just a quick recap before I have to run!!!

I ♥ Disneyland I used to go to Disneyland quite often when I was a kid. I haven't been since 2000.


2x2s:: I hope poor Isabella is doing better today. Give her a hug for me. My sister and I had our tonsils out the summer I was going to be in 2nd grade. I remember she could eat "real" food before I could. I got sick of runny instant potatoes and ice cream!! I did get a new Midge doll as a bribe.

I happened to run across this picture. Are these lovely ladies lined up to go for beignets by the pool? Silly women, where are their high heels?


If you guys ever get tired of me posting this stuff, just let me know. Not that I would stop it or anything....I would just know, I guess.

Donna, breakfast looks so good. Can you believe I have never had a beignet?? Mike and I were supposed to stay at POFQ in Nov. but then added extra days and switched to POP. We never did get over to POFQ for me to try the beignets.

I never get sick of you posting pictures; they are so funny!

I Heart Disneyland! Welcome!! I've never been to DL either. I really, really want to go someday.

Lin, Mike and I ate at the Plaza and it was really good. Your new crocs are so cute. How are they compared to "regular" crocs? Do they fit loose? I think I may have to get a pair.

Lyzziesmom, nice camera! There's something to be said for having a camera that fits into a pocket. Not everyone likes to look like a pack mule (you really should see what I carry around with me in the parks. Mike thinks I'm nuts).


The vet shaved poor Leary! I picked him up and all the hair on his head and neck is gone, plus a small spot on his hip. He seems to be feeling a lot better. I just wish I knew what caused it; Cyprus doesn't have it so I guess it isn't something contagious.

I heart Disneyland, welcome! You're in good company with a bunch of other night owls, as you will find.... (not me usually, though). I heart Disneyland, too - even though I've only been there twice (or is it three times?) Would you believe I grew up in california, and never went. I didn't go until I was an adult and had moved out of state. I only ever get to CA ocassionally now, I'm usually at the World in Florida when I travel!

Lin - yay for the crocs! I hope you find that they are awesome - like some of the rest of us have... Yeah, they aren't the best looking shoes on the face of the earth, but if I could get away with wearing them every day, I would. Don't think they like them much at my office - but I have snuck them a time or two on a Friday 'jeans day' - under my boot cuts...

I never properly welcomed you, sewer... welcome! do I detect we have another man in our crew???

Donna - I laughed at that pic of the ladies by the pool - I said "look, it's the cliqueless girls at the pool!!!" which one of you is it that's holding the trophy, though?

I remember that my sister got her tonsils out when she was a little younger than Izzy. I remember that I was soooooo jealous that she got all of these little prizes, but my dad came through and bought me a little Pillsbury Dough Boy stuffed animal thingy and I loved him!!! About five years ago I was at an antique store and do you believe I saw that little bugger there (the dough boy, not my dad ) I about fell on the floor!!!!!!

Hi Amber----glad Leary is doing better. Sorry they had to shave him, but I guess to really see what was going on it was necessary. Are they testing him for anything, or have a name for what they think it is??

A quick good morning to all!

It's snowing again today. Someone asked me how much snow we actually got at my house-- 1st storm 3 feet, 2nd storm - 8 inches, this storm-- we're only supposed to get 6 inches but we will see We still have over a foot of snow that hasn't melted from the last 2 storms. Usually our snow here in Denver melts within a couple of days so we are not used to this stuff sticking around for so long.

Donna- My favorite breakfast. When my DH and I were in New Orleans for a trip I ate those fresh and hot every chance I got. I tried them at POFQ when I stayed there a couple of years ago and they were very good so you all will have to do that "pool party."

Amber -- Poor Leary!!!

Sewer-- welcome back!!!

I heart Disneyland- Welcome! I love Disneyland also! We went back 2 years ago and had a blast. I'm thinking of planning a quick trip back maybe this year.

Leary is better, yay! Getting him a tattoo & nose ring to go w/the shaved head?

Never had beignets. Are they like a donut? Do they have fruit in them (I hope not!)? I will join the pool party! If it's warm out Emma will want to swim - she is much cuter in her bathing suit than I am. In mine I mean. I'm REALLY not cute in hers - it's a little snug.

I must admit, that is me holding the trophy. Amazing how I haven't aged since then, isn't it?

Work and DIS are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I DIS at work all the time. (Ssssssh, don't tell anyone at work!)

Disneyland: went when I lived in CA in 1979-80. Don't remember a darn thing. Would love to go back ASAP but somehow it ends up being more expensive than WDW. Airfare, hotels, etc. seem to cost more, plus need rental car... adds up quick.

Good news (I think?) - auditions for the HS's spring musical are this week and next - Erin's vocal/reading audition is today - she is more nervous than I think I've ever seen her. I've been flying very low on the radar the past couple days around her - don't feel like losing my head. DH has been sort of teasing me about diving and that I'll get eaten by a shark (he's aquaphobic anyway...), but I think I'd be safer in a tank full of Great Whites right now than in the same room as my daughter.

Well.......I have a few pictures to post.......

Every year we go to one of our best friend's house for their annual Christmas party. We eat, chat, play bunko, and then have a round of Dirty Santa. Everyone brings a gift of about $10 or less and we play. Sometimes the gifts are pretty good......sometimes not. Well.......a lot of times the gift is.......well........just not good.

Anyway.......this year, a few more of the kids played. Colton loves to play, so he brought a gift and played.

Colton drew number 5 (out of 24), so he picked a present to open. And I just happen to catch his reaction perfectly on camera........enjoy......

The gift was a "head shaver".

He could not wait until someone "stole" that from him. Fortunately, one of the guys felt sorry for him and stole it so he could get back in the game.
