breakfast-buffet.jpg

I hope everyone has a STUPENDOUS SATURDAY!!

Donna...Yummm! Thanks again for the stupendous breakfast. I'm joing you in a rain dance.

Good morning and Happy Saturday!!

I think everyone needs to take a can of Lysol to their keyboards. Apparently the cold/flu bug is being passed around. I woke up yesterday with the start of that icky throat/bowling ball head thing, thank you very much.;) ;)

)

2xcited...sorry you are feeling icky. I wish that was ME meeting you for some tea...how delightful...I hope you could taste your tea.;) We will catch up later...you are coming back later...:)

Hi guys:wave2: thought I better pop in. I've been keeping up reading but just haven't posted. I've been so busy at work:sad2: I still have about a 1/2 a day to work yet sometime this weekend...oh well, I guess you'll have that sometimes. Plus it helps from going crazy w/o Kenny here. He finally called last night:cloud9: I miss him SOOOOO much!!!
:

Hey Linda...good to hear from you. I know you are really missing Kenny. Good luck with the perm!

Have a good one, and talk with you later!!!

Donna...have fun shopping. Glad your cold is better. Yes...I hear you...5 WEEKS:banana:

Good morning everyone!

Well, I can almost see the sky so we're probably done with the snow. :cool1:
This also means everyone will probably come over to my house tomorrow so I have a heck of a lot of cleaning to finish up. It's hard with the kids tracking in and out from sledding in the front yard. Luckily we got rid of our carpet this year and now have wood floors. Much easier to clean!

Well, I've gotta go clean. Have a great day everyone!

Yolanda...glad the snow has stopped. You are going to be a busy bee cleaning plus extra mud/water from the snow....:scared1: I agree with the wood floors. We are only about 40% wood at our house.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna! Have fun shopping! Me and my sister are going shopping today too. As if I need to buy anything!
!

Hi nicole.... shopping   That's were I'm headed.

Morning glories! Ok so it's not exactly morning, but since the sun never really came out today, I'm just going to pretend. That way I can still have Donna's breakfast!

The kids are watching Shrek 2 and Emma just informed me with a huge frown on her face, "Don't like Shwek!" It's only been on for 5 minutes. I thought I'd have time to check in but she is trying to climb into my lap so I guess I'll just come back later. Sorry 'bout that!

Linda:: Thanks for popping in and saying "Hi"! I am a worry-wart (got it from my mother:laughing: ). Glad you heard from Kenny. I know you must miss him terribly!! Have a fun Saturday and a Happy New Year!!!
2x2s:: That cold/sore throat thing isn't fun!!! I started with that last Friday afternoon and yesterday I was starting to feel better. Enjoy your tea I love inserting that snooty smiley just for you!!
I am supposed to go shopping for a little while with Mom, Sis and Niece. We will probably go out to lunch as well.
Need to do major house cleaning today...we'll see how that pans out.
I can't believe it Chicas...in 5 weeks we'll be in the World!!!
Have a good one, and talk with you later!!!

Glad you're starting to feel better! It is really going around!! Oh, you all know I'm going crazy w/o Kenny being here. I can't wait for him to open the rest of his Christmas gifts:banana: Hope you had fun shopping. 5 more weeks.. I can hardly take it. Were you able to get to the house cleaning? I think I'll save that for Monday ;)

Linda- I know you miss Kenny! BTW-- my husband makes wine also. It's his "latest" hobby. I get to hear all about the process, how he adds oak to it etc.. (as my eyes glaze over)
Well, I've gotta go clean. Have a great day everyone!
We have the wood floors too...yes, they're much easier to clean:goodvibes
Mike is going crazy w/the wine. Now he has Apple wine going and wants to start some blackberry wine. He's the same way, does all this research online and w/all these books from the library... goes on an on telling me about the yeast and this and that... testing it and transfering it from here to here ok, whatever...just tell me when I can drink it...darn where is that toothy smilie when you need it??? Hope you had a great day as well.

Good Morning!

Hi KarenB!
Hey there Nicole :) how was the shopping w/your sister? Sure sounds fun. The wine is interesting...if you have plenty of time:rolleyes1 I didn't realize there was so much too it. Oh well, Mike has plenty of time to play around with it. He made some root beer too but ...it wasn't so good:rolleyes1

Donna...Yummm! Thanks again for the stupendous breakfast. I'm joing you in a rain dance.

Boy we're all doing some shopping today:cool1: I only bought 2 things today... Mike a UK hat and my nephew a Buckeye hoodie since he's such a buckeye fan ;)! Thanks, I need all the luck I can get. The perm went good. I use to do a ton of them. I don't mind and of coarse it saves her quite a bit of $ too ;) Hope you had fun shopping. Mike took me to Outback and then ran and got those few items and now I'm trying Mikes wine. I'm not much of a drinker at all..but it's not bad.

Morning glories! Ok so it's not exactly morning, but since the sun never really came out today, I'm just going to pretend. That way I can still have Donna's breakfast!

Awww:hug: hugs for Emma. She don't like Shrek:guilty: poor girl. I love Shrek! Kenny cracks me up...out of nowhere he'll just start this "pick me..... pick me":lmao: Have a good one and tell Emma it'll be ok ;)

2X:hug: Hope you get to feeling better. You're right...I think it's really going around. Seems like about everyone has had it. Hope you enjoyed your tea. that sounds great about now. someday we'll have to do the high tea on the cruise princess:

boy I love this multi quote thing...:cloud9: Hope you all enjoy your evening and weekend.

Now I'm impressed... when you put too many smilies...it tells you how many you have in your post:rotfl: we'll be using that!!!

Hi, everyone!! Just finished cleaning up the dinner dishes. what's was left of the Christmas leftovers have now been disposed of.

So...how did our little shoppers do today? I found 2 pairs of jeans for Nathan on sale. I also found the Cherry Cordial Hershey's Kisses again and bought 2 bags!!!:thumbsup2

lyzziesmom:: Oh my, Emma doesn't like Shrek? Maybe she was wanting to watch the Wiggles? How did last night go? She you later!

Linda:: Didn't get a lot done with the house cleaning. I have been working on the laundry and some small odds and ends.

2x2s:: How was tea with your Aunt? As much as I tease you about it, tea does sound wonderful.

Good evening all!!

Just got back from a day of shopping.

Don't you hate it when you get money for Christmas and then you have to decide what you want the most with it?

I went looking for this:
431254_s.jpg

because I really enjoy reading in bed but with my neck/shoulder/back problems I have a really hard time!! :guilty: I can do it but the next day (and sometimes for several days) I suffer with bad headaches.

This thing has an adjustable headrest, also the headrest tilts to support your neck and it has a massager w/ three speeds, a heater for your tired back, a cupholder and a reading lamp to keep the light out of Steven's eyes. :thumbsup2 And, it also folds up for easy underbed storage.

So, I didn't get it  and now I'm kicking myself.

Ever do that? Say, ehh, I'll think about it. So you walk away not getting it then alls you DO is think about it!
doh.gif

Well, we also went grocery shopping and now I have the fun job of cleaning out the fridge and putting the new stuff away.
whoopdedoo.gif

I'm going to try and get back in here later.

Talk to you soon.

Cherrio my friends---can you hear my British accent??:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Tea was just lovely, thank you.:snooty: :snooty: :3dglasses

I had S. African blend with mandarin. It was good, and I even got to pick the cup that I drank out of. The pattern and style was beautiful. The food was good----a bit of alot of things. Soup, scones with devonshire cream and lemon curd (yum), fruit, quiche, tea sandwich, etc. I think my aunt had a good time. It is in a historic home in the town that I grew up in and she still lives (my gram's house).

I am going to go catch up with the chit chat.

See ya in a bit, luvs.

p.s. If I recall, isn't Lin's sister's wedding either tonight or tomorrow night?? I think tonight.:bride:

Wowser, April!!! That bedrest has everything!!! I can't think of a reason to ever leave the bed, except to maybe go to the bathroom!! j/k It looks very cool and super comfortable.

2x2s:: Your tea sounds lovely!! I'm trying to remember where you grew up?Was it in Edwardsville?

I've wondered where Lin has been.

Ok, now Ashley needs to check in.

I need to account for all my little chicks.:goodvibes

Washer is beeping at me....be back in a sec!!!

Lyzziesmom------did you get to go out last night?? Did you have fun, if you did?? If you didn't, what did you do?? Did you have fun doing that?? If you didn't, why not?? If you did, why?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Obnoxious, aren't I??
And I haven't even hit the Ny-Quil yet.;) ;) :cutie:

Just giving you trouble, chickie.

Did you see that they are making a Shrek III?? I hate to go against Disney, but I love the Shrek movies. I crack up at them---my sense of humor. I laughed so hard at the first one when they were doing the Princess dating game.:lmao:

Donna----I grew up in the Florissant area (unincorporated) but my grandparents lived in historic Florissant. My aunt still lives in the house, but they are probably going to be putting it on the market soon. This will be sad because of all of the memories (since I was born, actually).
Glad your cold/sore throat is doing better. Did you take the Zicam stuff??

April----that is so funny about your bed chair. My dad got something very similar for my mom for Christmas (without all the bells and whistles though) and she took it back!!!! I asked her where it was and she told be she didn't need it. I wanted to tell her to give it to me.:rotfl:

I MISS MY TOOTHY GRIN SMILIE!!!!!!!!!!:guilty: :sad1: :guilty: :sad1:

Hi Linda----glad you got to talk to Kenny. I thought he'd be home by now, but I guess the week isn't completely over yet. When does he come home??
Tell Mike to send some of that wine over here.
Do they have high tea on the cruise?? Sounds like a plan to me.:cool2:

Yolanda----you somewhat lucked out with the snow, but what you got would have shut down St. Louis (I think Lyzziesmom said the same thing about KC----us midwesterners)
So your company will come tomorrow night??

Nicole---did you find any bargains today?? How's the cake decorating?? Do you resume classes soon after the holiday??
I had a client who made homemade chocolates. I thought of you and how maybe you would enjoy doing this too.

YM----sacrelige to mess with the smilies----I'LL SAY!!!!!!
How's your back feeling??
Look at you go with the multi-quote!!!:dance3: :dance3: I've resorted back to my Wilma ways.(for now)

Hi everyone!!!

Wow, its been awhile since I've checked in. I'm at a Ramada Inn somewhere in South Carolina (HI April!!!!) We stayed a little bit longer in Florida because Jeremiah had to work a couple extra days there. I will be home sometime tomorrow evening and I hope to chat with you all then. :yay: We just ordered a pizza and after I eat I'm going to sleep!!!

I hope you all had a nice holiday!!!

P.S. What happened to the smilies??!!

I have a story to tell-----

In all of my Christmas shopping excursions in the last few weeks or so, I have passed by this puzzle place in the mall and a certain puzzle kept catching my eye every time. Now, I'm not a puzzle person---well, I can't really say that because to be honest, just never sat down to do one. Anyway, this one jumped out at me many times and had my hands on it many times too. In fact, one time I was at the mall with my mom and I told her to remind me when Christmas is over that I would like to go back and get that one. I said this because I get alot of gift cards from clients, etc. So, Christmas Eve I went to dinner and a movie at the mall and for some reason decided to run up to the store and get it. SOLD OUT of the one I wanted. I couldn't believe it. So, the day after Christmas, after my treatment I ventured to another mall and hit the same problem. Sold out. I called the third and final location of this particular store with no luck there either. The bad thing of this is-------the puzzle stores are temporary---for holidays only. So, I assume I was out of luck (to put it nicely). I looked it up online but to be honest again, Wilma is a little frightened of making a purchase online----sorry all you seasoned online buyers. So, I was going to just give into the fact that it wasn't meant to be. I was so bummed because it was so pretty and my second bedroom is Shabby Chic(y) and it would have looked perfect in there in a frame. Yet another case of why didn't I buy it when I had my hands on it?? Kick kick.
So, fast forward to Friday and work. I go and there are a couple of straggler gifts for me from clients. This one package had a large box and a smaller box. I opened the smaller of the two first and there was puzzle glue. My eyes widened like you wouldn't believe as I ripped open the other box. There it was------my puzzle!!!!!!! I felt like Ralphie openening his Red Rider BB Gun. I vaguely remember talking to this client about puzzles and I mentioned this one and how I wanted to go back after Christmas to get it. Boy, she has a good memory!!!!

Here is a picture of it:

Isn't it beautiful?? I love how you can faintly see the carriage driving up to the castle.:goodvibes

Wow, I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle in years. I never seem to have the extra room to have the unfinished puzzle laying around. My dream home will include a table set up in front of a huge picture window that has an ocean view where I can sit and do my jigsaw puzzles. Just how wierd is that?

Karen

Well, seems as though I am the lone poster (no green lights as far as the eye can see)----

so instead of resorting to my normal (or abnormal) habit of conversation;) I think I will go ahead and log off and watch TV.

(maybe (to much of your dismay) that will be a New Year's resolution for the Pin-cess----NO solo talking.):rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Hi Karen----

I think I have run across you here on the boards before ----I remember seeing your beautiful photo of SpaceShip Earth. Just lovely!!! Did you take that?? I love the hidden Mickey cloud.;)

I think I may have to get one of those roll up thingies to go with the puzzle because I have no room to work either. Your dream room with a view sounds heavenly.

Come by and say hi to the Cliqueless Crew anytime.

good night.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, I did take the Spaceship Earth picture myself. My DS 16 was being silly as we were snapping the photo looking straight up trying to get people to look. Well, I really liked the way the picture turned out. Then someone on the photography board put the hidden Mickey in it for me. They have such talent on that board.

Have a Happy New Year!
Karen

Before I go-----

YM---for some reason I had the strangest craving for fried chicken and thought-----hmmmm, Cluck-in-a-Bucket??:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

(I was a good girl though)

talk to you soon.:hippie:
