Good Morning!

Thanks for the pancakes Donna!

2X- I read your news flash! :( What will I do for 2 days without my cliqueless dissers????

Pozey- I received a card in my envelope. No money though. :( ;) Thanks!

Dznyfan- I love the pics!

April- I hope you are feeling better.

I hope everyone has a great day!

pozey: got a very nice card in my envelope too. I was feeling the envelope trying to determine if it felt thick enough to be a card!

Amber: your grand-in-laws (?) sound exactly like Lyzzie's grandparents! I always used to describe them as a mix between the Barones and the Costanzas! With a little bit of the Seinfelds thrown in, just for fun. Holidays with them were a blast, let me tell you. (I'm not sure if you can read the sarcasm in there, so I'll just tell you: it's Very Heavy!!) I have finally learned not to fall for the guilt trips, because they never end anyway.

2x: thanks for the news flash! I think I had read about this yesterday too, and I was horrified! Christmas without my cliqueless disers?? Whatever shall I DO??

DznyFan: the house looks lovely! I especially like Mickey with the Santa hat on - nice touch. I love the Mickey wreath. I plan to hit Michael's soon after Christmas (or maybe just before) because they have nice wreaths pretty cheap, and pick up a big one & two smaller ones and attempt to make my own Mickey head wreath.

I can't remember what everyone else posted about, and am too lazy to go back at the moment, so I'll just say HI to EVERYONE!! Happy Friday before Christmas!! :)

Donna thanks again for wonderful breakfast! What ever will we do without you for 2 days? :confused3 Now we are going to have to cook for ourselves.

Dznyfan...I love your holiday decorations! Is the Mickey wreath the one from Disney or did you make it? I love it!

It is very rainy here in northern IL. My backyard is a swimming pool. I let Gracie out and she found a rabbit she needed to chase through all the water and mud. Needless to say she is a muddy mess in her cage until I feel like bathing her this morning.

I am taking the girls to see Charlotte's Web this afternoon! It will be a nice way to spend a rainy day!

Sounds like we have several of the cliqueless dis kids coming down with something. Madison woke up stuffy and coughing this morning too! I hope some pixie dust will send them all on a quick recovery so none of them are sick for Christmas! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

We are leaving for Michigan to spend Christmas with Michele and the rest of our gang! We will see how having Santa come somewhere else than home goes. I think I am having more of a problem with it than the girls. :rolleyes1 We will be stopping off for a few hours of Holiday joy (I say that with a little sarcasm in my voice ;) ) Christmas eve. with my family. Oh Joy!

Well since this will probably be the last time we all get together until after Christmas....

I wish everyone and their families a very safe and very

Count my kids among the sick Mini-Cliquelessers. Lyzzie is finally getting over her cold, and now Emma seems to have caught it again. My mom said that yesterday Emma was crying and saying, "Need med-cin for my cough! *cough, cough!* Need it!!" And then when she gave her the medicine, Emma wanted to do it all by herself - of course - and ended up wearing more than she drank - of course. Poor kid just can't win.

Forgot to ask a very important question...

Yolanda, are you still snowed in?? Hope you're enjoying being homebound! Snuggle up in front of the fire with some nice hot chocolate, popcorn and a Christmas movie for me, will ya?

Lesa: it's still a little rainy here too but no pools in the yard, thank goodness. Have fun taking the girls to see Charlotte's Web! It was really cute, despite the yicky spider.

DznyFan LOVE the pics! Esp the wreath!! :cool1: Too Cool!!

Count us in with the sickies. So far, (insert praying smilie here) it is just Matt. He has a sinus infection so I don't think he is contagious. Plus the antibiotics have begun.

Lesa...I was wondering when you were coming :cool1: Can't wait   And you guys are going to stay with us next weekend right!!?? We'll have so much fun :Pinkbounc Think of all the planning we can do :thumbsup2

It is raining here too but since my backyard literally IS a swimming pool :teeth: I have no flooding issues. I will have to have Blake siphon some of the water off the pool cover before it gets cold again and freezes.

Somebody drag my lazy butt upstairs and make me start wrapping, I haven't even started

I want to make sure to get this in before the boards go down...

Merry
Christmas

Good morning everyone!

Well. it has stopped snowing :cheer2: We spent yesterday afternoon building a large sled run down our front yard and letting the kids play! We are going to try and get out of the neighborhood. Lots of shoveling to do!

Hope eeryone gets to feeling better!

Well, I've got to run but in case I don't get to talk to you all beforehand-- Have a Great, Merry, Christmas!!!

Good morning...thanks Donna for the pancakes and the muffin (yesterday)! I was really looking forward to Chrstmas brunch....hope the boards are back up. ;) ;)

Just a little something for Amber today...oh the injustice of Christmas!

hey cliquers---

glad you didn't miss the "news flash"--------I made it so you couldn't miss it. :teeth: This is important stuff, ya know!!!!!

Anyway, I don't have much time today before work and I will be at work until at least nine tonight----way past the DIS departure--just wanted to wish everyone a

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

And all the under the weather DIS kidlets----feel better soon and don't forget to leave a carrot out for Rudolph too!!!!

Donna----thanks for the pumpkin pancakes!!! They look absolutely divine!! Good luck with the customers today---hopefully they will all be in the holiday spirit. You are not open tomorrow, are you?? I have no idea why I am asking you this, because you won't be able to answer me, so never mind----I hope you are not. There---gave myself my own answer and now I am rambling. :teeth:
Have fun at the office party. Got your Santa hat ready??
PD to Nathan for feeling better. That is so cute that he and your niece pass out the gifts.
Jello cake?? Sounds interesting. Recipe??

Amber---sounds like you need some major PD for spending time with the fam!!!! Scary.
Yay for the bonus with the bonus!!!! That's always a bonus!! :teeth: Go spend it wisely. :lmao: :lmao: Yeah, right. Have fun!!

Angela---I cracked up at Ben's tartersauce comment, even though I have never ( ) watched Spongebob.
Everything done, huh?? Lucky!!!! I have to wrap everything still and maybe pick up a couple of greeting cards. One is for my grandparents, so I don't think I can use the ones I sent out. :rolleyes1
I used to love sushi, but can't really eat it anymore do the wacked out immune system. I guess I can still have California Rolls, since they aren't really "raw". Nothing like a good wasabi---clears those sinuses right up.
Hope Ben is feeling better soon.

Dznyfan-----beautiful pictures!!! I wonder if Nicole spied your Tink tree topper. I love your wreath!!

HI Nicole!! :wave2: :wave2:

Lesa----oh, a movie this afternoon sounds heavenly!! Enjoy!! Charlotte's Web was adorable----not the spider, but none the less. I wouldn't mind seeing it again after things settle down. That was one of my favorite books/movies when I was little----they were just animated so the spider didn't have such a creep factor. Hope the girls like it.
Have a safe trip!!!!
Love the Santa on fire clip. :rolleyes1

Lyzziesmom---I can't wait to meet Emma. I love to hear the little ones talk and hear their take on how things should be pronounced. Her crackers the other day made me laugh oh so hard!! I was going to say "cracked me up" but am not in the punny mood today. :teeth:
Hope she is feeling better and Lyzzie too.

Michele---PD for Matt too. Boy, alot of sicky kids here.
Get your gifts wrapped----I must do the same. I am wrapping tomorrow morning just to have them opened tomorrow afternoon. Lost cause.
Have fun with your company this weekend.

Yolanda----White Christmas???? :teeth: Glad you are all safe and sound and having some fun.
Be careful shoveling and driving!!!!

HI YM!!!! That is so sweet of you to honor Amber with an art set that she never got.
Christmas brunch----what time?? :teeth: Maybe we should all go and help Donna. :smooth:

That makes me think---if the boards are down starting tonight for 24-48 hrs., then it should be back up for Christmas morning, right?? :teeth: :teeth: :rolleyes1

Lin---I forgot to thank you the other day for the lovely window decal. Gee, I didn't think my obsession with JD is that apparent. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

April---the others are right-----there is a pressure point in between your thumb and index finger that helps with headaches. Hope you are feeling better. :grouphug:

Hi to everyone!!!!!

GOTTA RUN!!!

Everyone have a wonderful Holiday weekend!!!!

I got sooo many Christmas cards yesterday you guys are awesome!! YM those cards are the neatest thing I think I've ever seen! :cool1:

Angela...glad you liked the card! It was fun but if we do one next year I think I'll try October...just takes a long time...or so it seemed. I hope Ben is feeling better soon...I've heard that barking cough a time or two...kind of like a seal. :sad2: Hope they don't need to give him prelone syrup... Get well Ben and don't pass it to your brother!

I see there are a few others with sick kids...Emma (glad Lyzzie's feeling better), Matt, Nathan, Madison...who did I miss? Here's some pixie dust and well wishes. pixiedust: pixiedust: My little guy is about up to speed. He had a full day yesterday withoug hives, vomitting...etc. :woohoo: Today he woke up and told me his head, stomach and throat was hurting. Thirty minutes later he was on his way over to his cousins house. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Maybe he's had too much attention.

Yolanda...good luck with the shoveling! My kids would have loved the sled run...how exactly do you make one? Seems like I remember using water? Looks like a white Christmas for you.

DznyFan...thanks for sharing the picutres...how pretty. Let's see...I'm thinking you should have fresh batch of something right now out of the oven. Do you have something warm to drink? I can be there in about 30 minutes! :dance3: :dance3:

I was very sad to hear about Jim Giles. Such a nice man...my heart goes out to his family.

Lesa...hope you make it through Christmas away from home. I bet a certain someone will enjoy your company. :goodvibes My DS loves the "hot pants Santa"!

Oh rats...got to get the kids over to Grandma's house and finish up my shopping....I should get back to finish up my chitter chatter.

But just to be sure.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY CLIQUELESS FRIENDS

Merry Christmas!!!

The Dr. gave Ben Amoxicillan so we'll start that today. He also suggest Triaminic cold & cough during the day (we use the nighttime formula at night) and he was freaking out about taking it, gagged himself and threw up all of it snot and some bologna he just ate. YUMMY!! (where is that vomit smilie?) I'm supposed to take the boys to my parents this afternoon and spend the night so the boys can decorate a little tree she cut down, hopefully the coughing slows down a bit or we will stay home.

I'm sorry all the kids are feeling yucky hopefully everyone is on the mend by Christmas day! :thumbsup2

2x2 the Tempura shrimp sushi we ate was with fully cooked breaded shrimp it was really, really good! The wasabi was an "opening" sensation for the sinus, I just really love that sticky rice reminds me of the Kona.

Lesa hope you guys have a safe trip and that Christmas away is good!! You and Michelle will have fun planning your trip in Feb!

Speaking of trips we are going again in March (7 days at Windsor Hills and 2 days hopefully at the Poly!) and my parents are going with us for the first 7 days. They have NEVER been to WDW  So the other day I e-mailed them our itinerary with ADR's etc so we'll see what they think of it. I also went ahead and ordered some of those customized maps for them too. My brother and his family are suppossed to go too and stay at ASMO but my dsil dosen't really want to go since they went last year?! Just a ramble....

Dznyfan love the decorations, the tree (especially the tree topper) and the wreath!!

Have a great weekend and I'll chat with you all in a few days!!

Angela: Your SIL sounds like my mom. She doesn't understand why we keep going back, even after I took them with us last time and she kept saying, "I didn't know you could do _____ at Disney! I didn't know they had _____ here!" Sheesh indeed. I certainly hope Ben feels better soon, the poor guy sounds like he's really putting you through the ringer. Have you tried Delsym? It's a over the counter cough syrup that is orange flavored, quite sweet, and it works great. It really stops coughing for a full 12 hours, can be used night or day. It's about 10 or 12 bucks a bottle, but totally worth it since you don't have to use as many doses. Lyzzie's Dr. recommended it when she was little and we never use anything else - it works for grownups too.

2x: I had to laugh about the FaRaRaRaRa comment!! We just watched A Christmas Story the other day and somehow I missed that part, but it's one of my favorites! Of course the only line in the entire movie that Lyzzie decided was worth repeating was a line about the leg lamp: "Electric sex!"

Donna: I must have missed where you posted something about Jello cake. I used to make one called a poke cake, is this the same thing? It's basically a sponge cake, and then you poke holes in it with a straw and fill the holes with Jello, then freeze the whole shebang. The Jello seeps into the cake giving it a marbley look and it's very tasty!

I suppose I will keep myself with trip planning while the DIS is down. Until then, here is the....

...Cliqueless Question of the Day:

What is your favorite gift you have ever given?

Mine was actually a birthday gift, not a Christmas gift. For Lyzzie's dad's birthday, I was about 3 months pregnant with Lyzzie and unemployed, so I had very little money. I had framed a sonogram picture and gave it to him. He loved it, even cried in front of all his friends.

Funny story about the sonogram picture: When he showed it to his mother (Lyzzie's grandma, who did not yet know that I was pregnant) she looked at it, then turned it face down and started shaking it. We both yelled, "What are doing???" She thought it was one of those sand-art pictures that you shake and it makes different designs! Lyzzie's dad was adopted, so his mother I guess had never seen a sonogram and didn't know what it was. We still don't let her live that one down!

Welcome!! Stop by anytime.

QOD: When I was younger, I made my mom a quilt. My babysitter (and my mom's good friend) helped. I drew buttons and bows on each square (pink and blue) then colored it with fabric paint. When those were done, my babysitter sewed them all together. My mom cried when I gave it to her and she still has it.

Welcome Christy! Come by anytime, we love to see new people around here!

Welcome Christy! Your dogs are beautiful! Stop by anytime!

Dznyfan, I love your decor! My mom bought me three wreaths to make a Mickey wreath out of but I haven't had a chance too...maybe if I ever spent time away from the dis...hehehe

Pozey, got your card and it did indeed have a card inside! No lucky envelope for me!

Linda, got your card yesterday too! Kenny is so adorable; that boy is gonna be a heartbreaker! Where did you get those cards?

QOD: We haven't given it yet but for my inlaws Chris and I and Andrew and Ashley (BIL/SIL) took Dan and Joannes wedding picture, and one of each of ours and framed them together with a little plaque that says "The Leffels" at the bottom. We hope they love it, it turned out really nice!

And in case the boards disappear before I get the chance!
