Good morning everyone!

Well, I'm sitting here in a full-out blizzard! They say we will have 2 - 3 feet of snow by tomorrow. It's a good day to stay at home. My DH had to go into work so I sent him in the 4 wheel drive jeep. It is flat nasty outside!

Donna-- I was insipred by your cinnamon rolls so I went and made some for us this morning. Sat in front of the tree, drank my coffee, ate a cinnamon roll, and enjoyed the snow! I haven't cracked yet on the present thing but if we get as much snow as they are saying, I may let him open one thing just to keep him entertained. :teeth:

Linzybrooke-- I'll send extra prayers up for your husband and the job situation.

April-- Great photo's and trip report. Sorry about dinner! I love a good German Riesling myself!

Thanks for the cards everyone!

Thanks Donna for the cinnabons, my favorite! :thumbsup2 I think they just added a few inches on my buns along with all the cookies and junk I have been sampling all week! Hey, someone has to make sure they are good enough to give out! :rolleyes1

I have received a ton of cliqueless cards over the past week. :woohoo: Thank you to 2x..I was cracking up at your card. The personal note was a nice touch! :goodvibes Angela...Your kids are just too darn cute! :) Donna...You have a wonderful looking family! Madison was asking "who's that boy?" She started blushing when Brittany asked her if she thought he was cute! :lmao: Nicole...I'm still laughing my "bum" off at your card! :rotfl: Yolanda...Beautiful card, did you make it? I am going to have to try the peppermint twist biscotti, they sound Divine! :thumbsup2 Dznyfan...I want to frame your card. The snow scene is just beautiful! Thank you for the personal note! Also thank you to Lin, April and lizziesmom! It has sure been fun going out to the mailbox! By the way Pozey, does whoever gets the lucky envelope get a special prize! :teeth:

I have been quite busy the past few days. Saturday we saw Santa. We were so excited when we got there, no line! :cheer2: Ummm, O.k. when did Santa get pagers? You don't stand in line, instead they give you a pager so you can shop. Good for the stores I guess, but I ended up spending money I shouldn't have!! I did buy Gracie a minnie sweater at the DS. I tried to get the girls matching ones, but they wouldn't go for it. :confused3 :lmao:

Sunday we baked cookies and peppermint bark. Brittany wanted to try her hand at making chocolate chip cookies by herself. Well I started to tell her to make sure she reads the recipe carefully and follows it, but she wouldn't listen. She said she knew how to do it. O.k. ;) A while later I hear "mom, come quick!" in a panic tone, never a good sign! The cookies had run all together and were rising up and over the pan. I asked her if she followed the recipe. She said kind of, she just threw everything in the bowl and mixed it. "Well the lies you problem! Remember how I started to tell you how to follow the recipe closely, but you knew it all!" :rolleyes1 :lmao: I love those told you so moments! :teeth:

I have been working hard on a program trying to finish it for a Christmas gift. Well I have put hours and hours and days and more hours into it. Only to find out I could not do what I had planned with the program I was using. So more days and hours, actually Monday was the whole darn day redoing the darn thing only for it to go poof into computer hell! :badpc: :badpc: I am now once again trying to finish it up (it will turn out if it's the last thing I do! ). Wish me luck! I think at this point I need it!!!

I'll try to catch up later!

Have a great day everyone!

Amber- I have another question for you about the popcorn. I plan on melting the chocolate like you said but how do you mix it? I was thinking about putting it in a bowl and pouring the chocolate over it and stirring it together. What comes after that? Do I just spread it out or what?

ETA- How much of the bag of waffers did you use?

Morning everyone! Donna, those cinnamon rolls look so good!

April: I'm loving hearing about your trip! So glad you guys liked the dining plan. It sure does make things easier doesn't it? See, we told you not to worry about it. I don't understand why so many people stress about it so much. Your pictures look like you both were having so much fun. I want to go NOW!!

Angela: I can just imagine, "Honey, I'm going to WDW without you guys. Bye!" and zooming off. Hahahahaaaa!!! What a dirty trick!! Today is Lyzzie's last day too, she has 1/2 day today, and then is off until next year. Must be nice! I get the next two Mondays off of work - looking forward to it!

Nicole: good luck with your job hunt!

Yolanda: oh no, a blizzard?!? I hope it's not heading this way! It would be nice to have some snow for Christmas, but I just can't stand driving in it. Today it is gloomy and rainy, about 40 degrees and so dark it looks like about 9pm. Yick.

Lesa: I love the "I told you so" moments too! You feel bad for the kids when things don't go right for them, but darn it, if they had only listened! It's so nice to be right once in a while, isn't it? Did she end up just calling it chocolate chip cake?

I have pigged out on junk food this morning and am now feeling like I don't want to eat for the rest of the day. I can't help it, I woke up with a sweet tooth. I took the kids to a chinese buffet last night, it is usually pretty good but it was really bad yesterday. The rice was crunchy!! Even when they put out a new pan of rice, it still had crunchy bits in it - yuck. We had a good time though regardless, and it tired them out sufficiently to get a good night's sleep.

I was looking at the giant pile of presents under the tree, and wondering what the heck was I thinking?? We usually bring our family gifts over to my folks' house for Xmas Eve, and I don't know how I'm going to bring everything over, it's at least enough to fill 3 trash bags. I would just ask them to move it to my house this year, but that would mean I'd have to clean.

I've been told my newer computer at work should be ready this afternoon. I certainly hope so, I swear this one gets slower every day.

I'm off to do some work, I'll check back in later. Hi to everyone I missed!! :)

I put the popcorn in a big bowl then poured the chocolate over it. I used a spoon to mix. Then I spread it onto a tray lined with wax paper and let it set up in the refridgerator. After it hardens, break it apart.

I used a bag of wafers per bag of popcorn. The recipe I read said to use a half bag, but it didn't coat enough of the popcorn.

Good morning all! Thanks Donna for the cinnamon rolls.

I just got back from the vet. We are trying a special dog food for Sophie and pepcid. If she doesn't get better he might check for an "intestinal foreign body". :faint: She acts and looks fine so I hope the new food does the trick. I'm worried about a few too many raw hide bones. :teeth:

Yolanda...you are getting the snow! We are getting rain thank goodness. Hope DH does ok on the snowy roads.

Lin...pixie dust being sent your way. That is a big decision. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Nicole...I'm glad you ask about getting the chocolate onto the popcorn. I must confess when I read how Amber melted it I was thinking..."I wonder how she applies it...and how much). :teeth: I see everyone thought your card was pretty funny like I did. Feel free to share that humor with us anytime. :thumbsup2

Hi, all!
Donna - thanks for the cinnamon rolls!

Lyzziesmom - ewww - crunchy rice? I think we're going to have one of those 'junk food' days tomorrow around here - everybody's bringing something and we're all just munching throughout the day. Good luck figuring out your Christmas locale plans!

Yolanda - snow for you - rain for us. It's gray, cold, windy and wet! Give me snow any day!

YM - I hope Miss Sophie's ok! Too many rawhides = not a good thing. There's a type called compressed rawhide that is actually much better, since they don't blow through them so fast, and don't ingest the big unchewed pieces.

Lin - I hope the job thing works out for Chris! Oh, to live in Florida! My prayers are going out to you! :grouphug:

April - I've really enjoyed the photos and trip report - it sounds like you two had such a great time - despite no RNRC or TOT.

Well, I am missing a hundred dollar bill........I just wonder if I might have put that in one of the envelopes????
Nope, not me! Drat! Thanks for the card though - I did have a card in my envelope! :rotfl:

Oh, Lesa - that is too funny about Brittany. I hate the phrase "I know" - I get it a lot. Of course, she is 16, and does have a life full of experience and I don't. Well - at least you got one of those big chocolate chip cookies, right? Live and learn.

Oooh! I might have to add chocolate covered popcorn to my gift baskets! It's really disturbing - I've gone all Martha Stewart on these baskets and their contents. What is wrong with me????? I'm finished with the tea and their little jars and tags, the sugar scrub and their little jars and tags, I still need to bake and make the peppermint bark. Since I'm off on Friday, I will be spending my day in the kitchen. Thank goodness for wireless routers!

Linda I just got your card! :cool1: Kenny is such a cutie pie! :teeth:

Okay………I have forgotten to tell my cliqueless cliquers a pretty funny story….

About a week or so ago, our department here at work had a Christmas lunch deal. We all brought snack type food. And remember me telling you I made sausage balls?

Well……here’s more to the story…..

The party was on a Thursday, and usually when I make sausage balls, I mix the ingredients and roll them into balls the night before. Well, the night before would have been a Wednesday……and on Wednesday’s, Colton and Chase have swim team practice from 7:30 – 8:30. So, on this night, by the time they get dressed and we get home, Courtney was already asleep on the couch. So, the boys take a bath, and I take everyone up to bed. It’s probably around 9:20 when the kids go to bed.

So, I set the alarm clock for 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning, so I can take a shower and start cooking the sausage balls. I’m in and out of the shower pretty quick and I am drying off, when in comes Courtney………WIDE AWAKE!! :Pinkbounc

She stays in the bathroom while I brush my teeth, comb and blow dry my hair, and everything. So, she goes out with me to make the sausage balls……still just wide awake. I ask her if she wants to go back upstairs and go back to bed until time for me to come wake her up. Nope. But she does make 3 or 4 trips up and down the stairs while I cook the sausage balls and iron the clothes.

Now……fast forward a little while……I’ve made all the sausage balls and DW has gotten up and gotten in the shower…..and now it’s time I would normally go wake everyone up and get everyone dressed and ready for school.

I go in to make Courtney’s bed and what do I find on her bed?? About 10 – 15 empty candy wrappers!!! Seems she had somehow gotten some candy – Hershey Kisses, Starburst, and Tootsie Rolls – and ate them sometime in the middle of the night. :rotfl2:

She was WIRED TO THE GILLS!!

I am not a very funny person. I can't tell a joke to save my life. :( That's why you don't see my funny side. I don't have one. :(

:rotfl2: I had to do something with all the scrapbook stuff I buy when I go to DW. It certainly doesn't make it into a scrapbook! :teeth:

That is a funny story Pozey! She was on one serious sugar high! :rotfl2:
What do you put in your sausage balls? I used to make some that consisted of ground up sausage, bisquick and shredded cheese. They were really good! Hmmm, I might have to make some of those up if I can find my recipe!
