I would so take you up on that offer! :lmao: When I was a teenager I got a job in a store wrapping presents, it only lasted 2 days. :rotfl2: Gift bags are my friend! ;)

I am debating if I want to try putting some stuff up on ebay. I haven't sold on there for quite some time too many scams. I have a ton of American Girls stuff I need to get rid of. Has anyone used ebay in a while?
I've bought on ebay but not sold...but I might be able to save you the trouble... can you send me pix or a list of what you have and prices... I have two nieces that LOVE AG!!! I bought one Jess and the other Emily this year for Christmas...no, they're not spoiled at all ;)!!!

Yay Nicole 2k posts :dance3:

lyzzismom.... was that ball ornament BLUE :lmao: SORRY ;) I just couldn't resist!

I had to chuckle at this one!! I have (and always have had) the same problem with my DD. (almost 17 now...). She served 2 detention periods 2 weeks ago because she was using her cell at school, and there's a no mobile phone policy. She texts me during the day sometimes - but this particular day, someone texted her, and she left her ringer on! You do the crime, you do the time! Ever since pre-school, she's snuck things to school she shouldn't.
:rotfl2: She actually asked me this morning if she could take her cell phone to school in case she needed to call me. I told her if she takes it and I find out, it's mine!! :teeth: Kids always think their parents are fools! :rolleyes1

I will surely take some pictures for you. I have quite a few that are new and can't be be bought anymore. I also have some gently used things. Between the two girls they have 6 AG dolls and a set of bitty twins. :rolleyes1 Brittany says they are not cool anymore and threw them all in Madison's room. I have caught her a few times dressing some of them. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I can literally see winter coming out my window!!

According to weather.com it is currently 67 degrees. By 10 p.m. tonight, it is supposed to be 28 degrees. Looking out my window toward the north and west, I can see the dark clouds along with the cold front headed this way.

And here I sit with a short sleeved shirt on with no jacket in sight.

YM: I'll definitely post my butter coconut recipe later this week, but you might have to remind me again! We did Thanksgiving lunch at my in-laws house and then leftovers with my parents and grandparents later that night at their house. Everyone always wants me to make pie, which is a good thing because I can't make much else. Pies, cakes and cookies are about it for me!

Pozey, your kids are so gorgeous!

April, nice to finally meet you!

Chris and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary on Monday. It was great. We were both off work on Sunday and Monday so we spent Sunday at church, then Chris hung Christmas lights outside and we went to a fancy dinner at Texas de Brazil. Then we spent Monday going to brunch at Le Madeline, went to see Deck the Halls (I think thats the name of the new Mathew Broderick movie?) which has Kristin Chenowith in it as well, and she sings a little. Its an okay movie, definitely not great, but it is cute. Then we went home and decorated the house for Christmas. It was pretty much perfect. However, last night my little Minnie decided she should eat the pom-pon off the Mickey Santa on my tree skirt! Shes in the dog house.....

I cannot figure out what to get Chris for Christmas...he is the hardest person to shop for!

I have to work noon-8:30 today. I'll go to work with is cool and it supposed to be freezing by the time I get off! Hope everyone has a great day!

Same here. It is very warm here and it's thundering and pouring. I just hope it doesn't all freeze. That will be a mess for sure!

I am a huge dork, I love wrapping presents! If you lived closer I would wrap them for you Lesa! :rotfl:

Call me a huge dork too, because I love giftwrapping! My mom is the total opposite, she will 'wrap' things in a Target bag, usually with the receipt still in the bag!! When I was 14 or 15, I had a seasonal job in the mall at a store that sold a lot of gifty items. An old lady who had worked there forever showed me "how" to giftwrap nicely, and now I just love doing it & having all the pretty packages under the tree! I always try to color-coordinate the wrapping with my tree & decorations... not always easy, since my tree is mostly decorated in pink. (Trust me, it looks better than it sounds).

Lyzzie wants AG stuff but I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on a DOLL!! She just likes looking at the catalogs that come in the mail.

Those sneaky girls! Lyzzie once took a necklace to school after I advised her not to.. it was a Bambi necklace from when I was a kid, I was saving it for when I had a daughter. Yep you guessed it, she lost it. On the playground. Never was found. Ever since then, if she wants to bring something to school, I will say "remember the Bambi necklace?" and she usually changes her own mind. But I have found some odd things in her backpack now & then!!

Linda... No, the ball was NOT blue!! Would have made the story much funnier if it had been!!

:rolleyes1 I'm sure no one was supposed to see that :teeth:
that would be awesome!! I can't wait to see :cool1: Thanks Lesa. I'm not sure how many they already have...but I know they have their bedrooms in it...they have an AG christmas tree... I didn't even know they had 1/2 of that kind of stuff even available :confused3 that's probably b/c I only have a boy and can tell you all about Power Rangers and X-Men

Kenny keeps asking me for a cell!!! He's FIVE  No way!!!

Ooh! Ooh! count me in on the "love gift wrapping" crew! There's just something about it - I put on the Christmas music, and put on the pine potpourri or candles, and I'm content to just sit and wrap for hours. Except, now that I'm getting [cough] older, I get a wee bit stiff on the floor.

Lin - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! :thumbsup2

Pozey and YM - it DOES look icky out there, and the wind has definitely turned and now coming briskly from the north.

:rotfl2: Gotta love 'em! I'm constantly amazed by my friends and the ages their kids ask for stuff - 5, 6, 7, 8 - asking for cell phones and iPods, designer purses and designer dogs. Poor Erin is just now getting an iPod (Christmas). I think I got her a cell when she got busy w/ afterschool activities around the age of 13 or 14. She is SO deprived...

Wow!!! I can't believe it's still 60 degres out this morning. I heard on the news the temps are supposed to drop by at least 30 degrees by tomorrow!!! :cold:

YourMajesty:: Looks like you win the Night Owl award for last night. Hope Sophie is feeling better and coughing less=better nights' sleep for everyone!!
Better start gathering that firewood, Wilderness Woman!! :teeth:

Well, better run!! Have a great day everyone!! :sunny:

Donna...thanks for the coffee cake. It was just what I needed after I finished chopping wood for the fire. :joker:

Linzy - my DH is tough to buy for too, but I think I got it figured out. What does Chris like?? Erin wants to see Deck The Halls (she's a HUGE Matthew Broderick fan) - it looks cute, but not much more than that. A bit of trivia: Did you know? Kristin Chenoweth graduated from the same HS that Erin goes to, back in '86? She hasn't gotten to meet her yet, but has a few friends who know her and her family, since she's from the same town. And HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! :thumbsup2

13 or 14 sounds good... I won't mind when he's old enough and responsible enough to take care of it!!

I love wrapping gifts too :woohoo:

Mike is pretty easy to buy for...he got a few guns, he has a huge collection, some clothes, some nascar die cast cars he collects, some UK stuff... hmmm hope he doesn't read this ;)

did you hear Greg from the Wiggles is leaving... serious illness I guess :guilty: that's too bad. Kenny loved the wiggles. still have that in my head...make it stop... Fruit salad...yummy yummy! :rotfl2:

Thank you. That is incredibly nice for you to say that. I am often amazed that the kids in those pictures came from my genes. I'm so glad my DW's beauty genes overpowered mine!! :thumbsup2

Oh no Linda! The Wiggles is Emma's very favorite!! Every single day, she has to watch Wiggles. She even made her very first phone call on Thanksgiving morning to my dad, to ask him, "Bring Wiggles show?" (if she could bring her Wiggles DVD to their house). First they get rid of Breakfast with Bear - which she still asks for - and now this. How on earth will I entertain the poor kid??

The board is rolling along this morning!

Pozey... great pictures. Cute kiddos and a good photographer. :thumbsup2 Colton makes a great farmer.

Lin...happy anniversary. party:

Nicole... :woohoo: 2000 :rockband: :dance3:  Hope your carpet looks nice after it's cleaning.

DnznyFan...Sophie was given doxyclycline (which the #1 side effect was nausea and vomittig) and temaril P (p for prednilosone). She sleep really good last night but is coughing a little today. I cut her dose a little...? I'm watching the 11-12 news show on channel 2 and it's now 44 outside....dropping fast.

Welcome home Angela....can't wait to hear about your trip. :listen: :dance3:

I know :guilty: I took Kenny to see them in concert a few years ago...He loved the Wiggles so much...he's pretty much out of them now..but we still watch it here and there. I still get their songs in my head sometimes :rolleyes1 I guess they have a replacement...but we'll see what happens. Kenny is getting more into the super heroes and more boyish stuff... he's getting so big :sad1: where does the time go :confused3 !!!

YM...sounds like Sophie is doing a little better?? :)!!!

Angela...oh yes...can't wait to hear the details...and pix!!! :cheer2:

YM - I hope Sophie feels better soon. The only thing worse than sick pets is sick kids. Which reminds me...

2x - how is little Luca doing? And your grandma? Is she eating yet?

Winter has arrived! When I left for lunch, it was cold. When I came out of the store, it was raining freezing rain, and the rear window of my car was totally iced over. Good thing I brought my gloves today!

My attorney just called me... she is working on getting me a new, revised copy of Emma's birth certificate and it should be here before the end of the year!! We were not sure if we could do this (no precedent) so I'm very excited!! While I was on my cell phone with her, the work phone rang and I don't know what happened, but it was beeping at me for several minutes and the more I tried to fix it, the more it beeped at me! Once I finally got that fixed (I still have no clue what stopped it) I was just about to take a big bite of a swiss cake roll, and of course I look up and a very handsome visitor is standing there watching me stuff my face with chocolate. Ugh, I swear sometimes I feel like a walking sitcom. They offered me a headset for my phone and I declined... I can just imagine myself walking away from the desk, still connected to the phone!!

party: lyzziesmom...that is awesome!!! Yay Emma!!

I still haven't heard from my atty. yet on a new court date

OH... I got a great call... apparently Kenny won't have a stepmom much longer :woohoo: I guess they found her truck keys in a room at the Holiday Inn. she just got a new car so guess she didn't need those truck keys to leave. She's having an affair w/another atty..and naturally he's married too  I guess this is her FIFTH marriage. Lasted less than a year. I am just so glad she'll be out of the picture!!! :cheer2: the x called to ask if he had Kenny tomorrow night only or all weekend b/c he forgot...and boy oh boy...That was sure interesting!!!

I'm sure the freezing rain and stuff will be down here later. I didn't go outside at lunch, but everyone said it is getting cooler. I think it may already be in the 40's.

Good news!! (The birth certificate part....not about the stuffing face, handsome visitor thing) :rotfl:

Linda... that's great news for you about Kenny's stepmom! I wonder if his dad will still want to see him after she's gone, didn't you say she was the one who prompted him to see Kenny? It's kind of sad just because kids needs stability, but it sounds like they have brought so much turbulence into his little life, you both would be much better off without them. She sounds like a real piece of work!!
