Lesa, sorry you are having problems with the dealership. I had to take my car in because I got a recall notice. After they fixed that problem (on their dime), they came out and gave me a list of things that were wrong. It wasn't under warranty anymore and the bill was over $950!!! I laughed and told them no way was I paying that and left. They aren't happy if they have to fix things for free, so they make up reasons to charge you money.

Donna, breakfast looks great. Thank you for posting my itinerary; it makes me tired just looking at it. How am I actually going to follow it?


I had a thought about April. Wasn't she is the process of moving? Maybe she hasn't gotten set back up yet.

Now I know Lyzziesmom's name is Sharon! It's almost like the kids Connor goes to school with, I have people walk up to me "Are you Connor's mom"?

Michelle that is too funny with the principal I think if they are going to segregate classes by male/female that maybe they should make some other classes more boy friendly where they don't have to sit the entire time and get to move around, seems only fair!

Pozey love Colton's room and the plaque above his bed is great!! Where did you get that?

Ashley love those pictures, Las Vegas has really turned into such a resort town! I remember my parents taking us to Vegas when our relatives came out from Maryland and we stayed at Circus Circus and got our faces painted. My brother who was in 1st or 2nd grade had his face painted like one of the guys from KISS!

well...I had a LONG talk w/Kenny apparently his father KICKED him over his weekend visit Kenny said they were at the bird sanctuary...and he was "throwing a fit" b/c he wanted bird seed and didn't want to go the same way they were...so he kicked him!!!! with his boots on of coarse he didn't have any marks but he said he bawled and it was a lot worse than any spanking!!! so now I'm thinking... call lawyer... call child protective services this makes me sick!! I left him b/c he was abusive but he wasn't in Kennys life til she came around w/her kid...I am just sick! Kenny was like...he should have spanked me or put me in the corner then he says...he's going to hell for that! they had 3 of his friends over for a sleep over...so I'm sure it was a little hard to watch 5 kids out there...but come on...you're an adult. If you can't handle it...don't invite more kids over

we go to court Friday since he wants his child support lowered $680 a month

Linda... My mom today offered to keep Emma for me during the Feb. trip if I pay her what I would have paid for Emma's airfare. My first thought was "who will Kenny play with??"

Lesa, back before kids I worked in accounts receivable at a car dealership and I saw how the service department would take advantage of people. I said something to one of the managers once about it but they don't really care as long as they are making money. I'm not saying they are all like that but I'd go with my gut feeling.

Linzy - I would love that Spiced tea recipe! That sounds like a great gift idea (not just for dear sis, but others as well, simply because it's unique). Thanks!

Lesa - it could be either the battery or the alternator. You can get your alternator tested at like an O'Reilly's or an Auto Zone, they should be able to tell you if the alternator is charging the system. The other option you have is to replace the battery first (as your alternator will cost a bunch more). If you do not have any more problems, done! If the alternator is not working it will not charge the new battery, either, and that one will die as well. Good luck - car problems are the worst!

Linda - Unfreakingbelievable about Kenny's dad. I think I would definitely call someone (your lawyer?) and at least make him/her aware of the situation. And he wants to REDUCE the child support???

Amber - I saw last week where April had posted about having gotten her relocation finished, and they were in and set up. I guess she just hasn't had time to pop in and say "hi".

Thnaks for the pixie dust for my DH job interview. The first one went well and they are going to fly him out for a second one after Thanksgiving, so we will see.

tell me about it!!! Mike was ready to go over there and confront him... tell him how it is...but I told him no...that won't help and he'd just try to use it against US! I'll see what the lawyer recommends and see what it would take to have supervised visitation! She's seeing a psychiatrist and totaled a car last month...he has a history of being abusive...that should be good reason to get an evaluation!!! I don't feel Kenny is safe there at all! I can't just deny visitation according to the law. yes he's done nothing but lie when it came to child support evaluations ..and of coarse I proved it...so he quit his job to try to get it lowered... he was ordered to pay $800 a month...and he tried to get it lowered to $120 claiming his ANNUAL income was $0.00 too bad he worked HERE at my company until MAY...So, I'll take him to court and show the judge his resignation papers and show he quit on his own free will...and see what happens. we have to take our last 3 years tax returns so I think he'll make an average or something and come up w/a reasonable figure. if any changes at all...

Linda....Reading that about Kenny makes me so sad for him and so at his dad! He sounds like a real jerk and doesn't deserve to be a part of Kenny's life. Kenny is so lucky to have such a great mom and it sounds like he is so lucky to have Mike in his life. Give him a great big hug!!!

Well the van started just fine today. I don't know what to think. I am going to take it somewhere else to have both the battery and alternator tested again and then take it back up to the dealership. There is nothing I hate more than dealing with car problems!

I have a Gracie story! I have told you all before how she likes to escape the backyard. Well I finally thought I had it fixed this weekend. I put hooks on the gate to keep it shut, I put big rocks and boards down around the bottom of the gate and fence where she keeps digging. I rigged the gate with a sheppard hook, lined up flower pots, you name it no one can get in or out! (I had to hoist the garbage cans over the top )Well yesterday I let Grace outside and when I went to let her in she was gone. I found her at the front door. I guess she figured she couldn't go over, and she couldn't squeeze through, and couldn't dig under, soooooooo............................................................................................................................................................................................She went.......................................................................................through!

Angela... all the neighborhood kids (and some of their moms too) call me Lyzzie's mom, so I'm pretty much used to it!!

Lesa, too funny about Houdini, I mean Gracie. She certainly is determined to escape, but then she doesn't go far!

Linda, that's so wrong about Kenny's dad. I had supervised visitation for Emma's dad. He came once (drunk) and then gave up. I sure hope they don't lower his child support! I only get 168/month for Lyzzie and for Emma I get even less than that, IF he decides to pay. It completely sucks. Can I say that here? I don't know what I'd do with 800/month, that would be great!! Just make sure everything is documented...I'm sure you know the drill.

I'm off to take Emma to Krispy Kreme and then to my mom's house. We are going to check out the new Crate And Barrel in town. Hopefully I won't overdo it again today!!

I am so mad right now! I just found out after all this that my battery is covered under my warranty. So if I would have had them replace it yesterday, they would have charged me the $125 and I would have been out that money because I would have not looked further into it. I am taking it to another dealership this afternoon to have it looked at. Unbelievable!

Thanks for the compliments on Colton’s room. It’s been like that for about 4 years. He’s now starting to ask if he could change the theme to an “under water” type of theme. Not so sure about that. If I remember correctly, we got the Disney plaque through some kind of mail order deal. I can’t remember exactly. But they are 4 ceramic tiles, and each one represents a different Disney “Era”. It really is kind of cool.

Lese…..I am so sorry to hear about your car troubles. I hate taking vehicles in to the dealership or to a mechanic. They look for things to charge you for.
