Hey DznyFan........did you read the article in today's Tulsa World about the woman who is the primary cook for her competition Barbeque team? Their team name is Hot Wire BBQ. I guess there is an event out at the Riverwalk in Jenks this weekend. Are you guys competing?

Ok everyone...

Don't laugh...

My Everest photo :) (finally uploaded) :teeth: Can't you see the look of terror on my face? Jeremiah makes fun of me because I look terrified and I'm the only one that looks scared. (Notice how I'm holding on for dear life) :bitelip:

Ignore the fact that I look very lop-sided in this photo. :teeth: (The only reason I even have this is because it was free!!!)

Angela, Mike and I are staying at POP from 11/23-12/03.

pozey, sorry for not winning, but CONGRATS to Chase and Colton!!!

Ashley, you poor thing; you look so scared. I take it you won't ride again?

Mike wants to ride TOT. In theory I want to, but the thought of doing it scares me to pieces. I have no idea why though. I ride pretty much anything and have ridden a ride similar to TOT, but for some reason I am terrified of riding it. IF I do (I probably will, Mike will drag me on it) then I will get the picture to prove I was on it.

I'm sorry Ashley, I know you said not to laugh, but your photo just totally made my day! My archnemesis has been at it again and it's been a rough morning, but I just about fell out of my chair when I saw that. The best part is how the older lady behind you is laughing, and the people in the back look bored, while you look terrified! Your DH just looks amused by the whole thing.

BTW - besides the terrified thing, I think you look just fine.

Pozey- That's too bad about your DW not winning the competition. :( If they are going to hold a dessert competition, they should have judges that like all kinds of desserts! I would have been perfect for the job!!! That's good that Chase and Colton did great in their meet!

Angela- Yay no cavities!!! Thankfully I have never had a cavity, and hopefully never will.

Ashley- You are braver than me!!! I didn't even ride EE! Steven rode it twice though. On the rare occasion I do ride a coaster, I have to make my stomach as tight as it will get so I have to turn around as much as I can!

Amber-

LOL, I don't know if I'll be riding it anytime soon. I'm glad I rode it once but I hated that dip! I thought the backwards part was fun but big dips I don't do well!! I felt alittle dizzy and sick afterwards.

Jeremiah LOVED TOT, I just waited for him while he rode the big thrill rides. I think TOT would be too intense for me!

Pozey sounds to me like they need judges that are open to eating anything....so where do I sign up? Imagine someone not liking cheesecake? :confused3
Yeah, I am not sure about the judges they picked.......I LOVE cheesecake. However, I do have a friend who doesn't like cheesecake because of the texture.

Sounds like the boys did great at their swim meet, my biggest challenge is getting my boys to learn how to swim. Connor had a swim teacher 2 years ago and he went for 2 days and still remembers it, it was horrible on the third day he wouldn't get out of the car! And he really does love the water but the teacher turns out was a little more hardcore than he needed.
Here comes another "pozey" story.....We put Colton in swim lessons when he was about 4 years old. He took to the water like a fish. And he progressed through lessons very fast.

Chase was a lot different. He hated the water from the beginning. He hated taking baths when he was a baby. He did not like getting his head wet. So, we waited a little longer before he was ready to begin swim lessons.

So, he was almost 5 before he started taking lessons. The day before his first lesson at the swim school, he was over at a friend's house for a party. DW and I were at their house too just visiting and stuff. Anyway, they had a soft-side pool in their back yard. It was a pretty good sized pool – about 18 feet in diameter and about 4 1/2 foot deep. So, the boys got their swim suits on and we were all going to go out back and let them swim. But since Chase could not swim yet, we brought his life jacket. All the adults were just kind of getting everything ready and stuff, when Chase and his friend run out to the pool. And Chase just jumps right in. It surprised him that it was a little over his head and he just started to panic and couldn’t get to the side.

The parents whose house we were at were just kind of staring, not knowing what to do. So, I jump in the pool, clothes and all, and grab Chase.

Long story short, just before he is to begin swim lessons, this happens, and now he is afraid of the water. Well, he takes lessons and he begins to lose his fear of the water. However, he was still VERY afraid of getting in the water where he could not touch bottom. Fast forward a year or so, he has had some very good teachers and he begins to put it all together. And now he is winning 1st place at swim meets.

Nope!

Ashley, you look absolutely terrified in that pic. I'm afraid that's how I would look if I went on EE.

I love the water, but am horrible swimmer! My parents put me and my little sister in swim classes as small kids but neither of us are very good! :( I would love to learn how to become a better swimmer though.

Ashely...oh my...you look like you are going to be sick with your arm across your stomach. :scared:

Pozey I'm with you on cheesecake...love it and so does my DH and DS....darn judges. Congrats to Colton and Chase...sounds like they did a great job. :woohoo: Thanks for the advice about the allergy clinic...It's hard to get treating people that are doing a good job supporting your business like pond scum...I wish in "healthcare" we could do a better job. I've never mentioned exatly what I do but we have patients and they do not pay for thier services but we always are expected to be professional at all times(of course).. :teeth:

Hey Donna...thanks for the cinamon rolls...yumm! How's Nathan today?

Linzybooke....oh my goodness what a "first" visit you experiecned....well did they ever see you? I take a Plum novel to all Dr appts...it helps keep my blood pressure normal while I'm sitting and sitting and sitting.....

Howdy to all the cliqueless crew.

Ashley that picture is killin' me! :rotfl2: :lmao: I'm sorry I know you said don't laugh but what makes me laugh the hardest is the "we're bored" folks in aisle 3. My friends husband does that when he knows there is going to be a picture, he'll prop his chin up on his fist or something! How about using that pic for your Christmas card and then photoshop Ruby into the row with you and Jeremiah. :thumbsup2

Pozey thanks for sharing that story about Chase. Connor and I have talked about it in the past and I think the key is finding a good teacher for him. Of course my greatest water skill is "Dog Paddle" :dogdance: I would love to take lessons but the thought of grabbing a suit and hoppin the the pool with a bunch of people I don't know is not appealing to my 35 yo bod. :rotfl2:

LOL. I don't think so!!! That picture is only for the eyes of my cliquless buddies. :thumbsup2

YM...I had the worst stomach ache before the ride because I was so nervous! When it was over I thought I would pass out. Its kind of sad because the queue area is so awesome and I wanted to take the time to look at it, but I was so nervous I wasn't paying that much attention. Like I told 2xcited, we can go look at the 'Yeti Museum' in Feb and then take the chicken exit. :teeth:

Boy......it's been REALLY quiet here in the Cliqueless Clique today. :bored:

We all need to stop working so hard!! :cool1:

What's on the agenda for everyone tonight?

As for me......swim team practice from 7:30 - 8:30. I will pick the boys up around 5:30, and we always have about an hour and a half to waste. Usually, we find a place to eat, then do homework. (It's too far out of the way to go home and then come back) But since they are out on Fall Break, they won't have homework.

So......what to do?? Go to the Mall? Go to Academy Outdoors? It's too cool and damp outside to do very much outside.

Oh, Ashley!!! I feel for you, but I almost had to laugh, too!! What a quandry!!! I don't think we'll be making you ride EE again in Feb.!! Nathan always has that look like he's so tiny and scared; what the picture doesn't show is that it's the 3rd time he has ridden the ride and wants to ride more!!! :teeth:

pozey:: Sounds like the boys did a super job at the Swim Meet!!! :thumbsup2 Chase did great for his first competition!!!! Yay, Chase!!!! I agree that the choice of people for the dessert judging was not a good one. :sad2: I'm sure the cheesecake was excellent!! It sure looked might tasty! :teeth:

Angela:: Great news that the boys didn't have any cavaties!! :thumbsup2

Well, I'm sitting here waiting for Mr. Microwave Installer to show. Anyone wanna take bets on this guy's chances of making it here today?? :rolleyes1

2x2s is going to Le Cellier this evening, we might have to go meet her!!! I might have liked to do a little F&WF too!!!! :drinking1

Hi, everybody!!!! :wave2:

Not much going on tonight here... I have an interview right after work, and then with any luck, and evening of relaxation.

I have to ask... am I the only one with kids who don't get a Fall Break? I have never heard of this! I certainly don't remember it from when I was in school, and we moved around a lot so I attended a lot of schools, and we don't have it here.

Our public schools started this a few years ago and Connor's school just started this school year. I really love it, if I would've been thinking right we should've gone to WDW this week instead. We never had Fall Break either but I think it helps split up the time between the beginning of school and Christmas break. :teeth:

Good luck with your interview! :cheer2:

You aren't the only one who doesn't have Fall Break. I have only recently heard of it but to my knowledge no schools around here have it. Our first day off since the start of school is Halloween. The teachers have a professional development day. Luckily for me I don't have to work those days so I get it off too :cool1: Our next time off is 3 days (W-TH-F) for Thanksgiving.

I talked the principal into having a Tigers Spirit Day on Friday for the start of the World Series. So now that means I have to go and buy something for Nick and I to wear to school.

Speaking of shopping I had so much fun this afternoon. I took my mom shopping for her birthday (Friday) at the Land's End dept at Sears. I knew she would find something she liked there. She did find a shirt and a pair of pants but unfortunately they didn't have her size but...they were able to order it from the catalog and have it shipped to her house for no charge. The guy who helped us said they should be at her house in 2 days! We had so much fun at the mall. I am so lucky, my mom is really my best friend :cloud9:

We had Matt's meeting this morning. They classified him as 504 which means he qualified for some modifications, I was able to get him all of the ones I wanted; things like using a calculator( he is borderline LD in math ) and open notes for tests. This will really help him to succeed. He goes to the doctor on 11-3 to get a prescript for meds. Between that and some other things we are trying I think he will do just fine. :woohoo:

Pozey, I'm sorry your cheesecake didn't win. It really stinks that they picked judges who don't like a lot of desserts. But on the bright side....your Cardinals did well last night :cheer2: :cheer2: and I'm glad the boys did well in their races!! :fish:

Ashley...I'm sorry, I couldn't help but laugh at your picture. The difference between your reaction and the other people in the car is too funny :lmao: It doesn't even look like you are on the same ride!!

Donna...did your microwave guy ever show up? Did they say anything about why he wasn't there yesterday? This is crazy!!!

Tomorrow is Matt's last football game :sad2: I will miss it. But the Varsity made it to state playoffs so we have at least one more week of that. And good news now they are saying it won't rain tomorrow. I really got my fill of sitting in terrible weather last week, thanks

:welcome: The Fidge!! Come and join us anytime!!

Hello, Jill ( anyone heard from her lately?)YM, Angela, Amber, Lesa and everyone else I am missing :wave2:

We don't have fall break in our neck of the woods!! The kids do get out of school on 10/25 & 10/26 for teacher workshops, but that's it. :teacher:

The microwave installer did NOT show again today. No call..nothing!!! DH finally called Lowe's about 5:45pm and talked to the manager in charge. After a few phone calls, was decided another person would install on Sat. morning. A little while later Lowe's calls back and said an installer was there and ready to bring and install the microwave if that was ok. So anyway, the m.w. is in and working. The no-show man told me on Monday that his wife was at a conference(WDW maybe?? :teeth: ) and he had to pick up his daughter at daycare by 5:30pm. I could understand if he couldn't make it one day and rescheduled for the next, but to not be here 2 days in a row is a bit much!!

Michele:: I'm glad Matt is on the right track now with his schooling. I know it's got to be weight off your shoulders. BTW...I live in Cardinal Country. :teeth:

Anybody want to join me at the Food and Wine Festival??
