I hope everyone has a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday!!!!!

Good morning Michele!!! :wave2:

2x2s itinerary for today is as follows:
Thurs 10/19

Free day--again, hotels, shop---whatever we feel like--most likely DTD
lunch at Earl of Sandwich
MNSSHP that evening
_________________________________________________________________

2x2s will be home on Saturday evening. I can't wait to hear what she actually did on all those "free" days!!! Do you think she's sneaking off to AK to ride EE?? I don't think so!! pirate:

Tonight is our school's first basketball game of the year. My niece in 8th grade is a cheerleader. Haven't decided if I want to go or not, there's so much I need to do around the house. Nathan may go with my sister if I don't go.

Bye-bye for now. :car:

Good Morning!

I just wanted to stop by and say :wave2:

Donna, Yeah, your microwave is installed and works! Now you can make popcorm (just becareful eating it).

Michele, I'm glad you were able to get the classes for Matt.

lyzziesmom, no schools around here have fall break. The hardly get any time off. They do have a couple holidays they get off, but usually it snows and they have to use them as make up days.

Talk to everyone later!

Donna, I can't believe it about the microwave guy! If I didn't show up for my job for 2 days in a row, I'd expect not to have a job. The champagne breakfast looks lovely, you spoil us too much.

Last night I decided to plug my cell phone in to recharge in my bedroom - it's usually in the kitchen but my new phone came with an extra charger. Of course that had to be the night that DBF decides to send me a text message at 2am. I was so confused when I heard the phone, I slapped my alarm clock and got up! And then when I went to read the message, without my glasses on so I had the phone about an inch from my face, whoops I hit the call button and we ended up talking for an hour. Needless to say, I am quite pooped this morning.

Lin, I just saw your puppies on your other thread... they are adorable! Pomeranians? They are my favorite!!

I hope everyone has a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday!!!!!

Thanks Donna for the breakfast...hey maybe the champagne will make us chatty. :teeth:

We had a little boy sleep over and my boys and him are playing captain underpants....not exactly sure what that means but they are all running around in their underware with a fresh pair on their heads...oh also they have a cape (blanket) on. To top it all off they didn't even have the champagne for breakfast. :rotfl2:

lyizziesmom....I'm not so sure about this fall break unless we are at WDW like last year. :rolleyes1 Yesterday one of the neighbor kids got hurt and the dad came over and yelled at the kids. :teeth:

Good morning to all the cliqueless crew. :wave2:

YM - Lyzzie just loves the Captain Underpants books! They are so silly, and full of (relatively clean) bathroom humor that kids her age just love. Thank goodness though, she has never decided to play Captain Underpants, to my knowledge anyway.

Good Morning!

Donna- Thanks for breakfast!!! I'm glad the microwave guy finally came!

Michelle- I'm glad Matt got the classes and help. I struggled in math big time all throughout school, I think I had ADD or ADHD. Well, I still think I do!

Lyzziesmom- The schools around here don't get fall break. I never did. :(

Morning Cliqueless Chicas!! :cool1:

I have yet another "pozey" story.....

What should I have done???

Okay, here’s the story……

Last night before swim team practice, the boys and I ate dinner at McDonald’s. It was about 6:30 p.m. We sat down in a booth and were eating, when an older man sat in the booth next to ours. He was alone and all he had was a large drink. He was very scruffy looking, was wearing an old hoodie sweatshirt underneath another sweatshirt, had on a stocking cap, and was carrying 2 soft-side briefcase type bags. At first glance, he appeared to “look” either homeless or something similar.

Anyway, we are eating, and I notice he had pulled something out of one of his bags. I couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but it was some kind of game. I had to get up and go get Chase a refill on his drink and on my way back, I noticed what the game he was playing was a Playstation Portable (PSP). It was the kind of game that my kids would LOVE to have.

As we continue eating, I would notice every once in awhile, he would put the game down, reach in one of his bags, pull out a bottle of booze, take a big swig, and then continue playing his game.

He did not have any food, and I wanted SO BADLY to ask him if I could buy him a couple of hamburgers. But I was hesitant, because I wasn’t sure whether he was homeless, destitute, or just some dude who liked to hang out at McD’s and play his game?

As we were leaving, Chase, being curious about his game, pretty much just stopped right by him and watched him play. So I stopped and said something about “he really likes your game”. He said “oh, I love this thing. I can play games on it, watch movies on it, it plays mp3s, and can even connect to the internet.” He said he was addicted to playing it. Then he mentioned something about it costing $200, and whether it was worth it or not.

Anyway, I cannot get it out of my mind………should I have offered to buy him some food? It’s driving me crazy!!

What should I have done!?!?

From how you described him he sure sounded like he was homeless. OTOH, he can afford a PSP???? And he was drinking! I wouldn't have offered to buy him some food. But that's just me.

That breakfast looks outstanding!!

Thanks so much!!

pozey, I'm not sure what I would have done. I think that if it weren't for the game, then I might offer buying him dinner.

I see lots of people around here that dress like that and have plenty of money, so maybe this guy is like that.

He also could be a scammer. There is a guy that stands at an intersection nearly everday. He is dressed in near rags and holds a sign asking for help. I felt bad for him, until the day a friend saw this guy leave the intersection, walk to a shopping complex and get into a brand new SUV. It seems his "job" was pretending to need help. :sad2:

That's a very lovely breakfast. My 'real' breakfast was coffee cake from Panera Bread.

Pozey, I didn't get to mention yesterday, but congrats to the boys for a job well done at the swim meet!

Lyzziesmom, how'd your interview go? Talking on the phone at 2 a.m.?? girl...!

Donna, you finally got your microwave!

Hope everyone is staying warm and well! Hi to Amber, Ashley, Angela, Nicole, April, Linda, Jill, Michele, Linzy, and hope I haven't missed anyone. :wave2:

Yeah, if it were not for the game, I definitely was going to buy him a couple of hamburgers. I also did not want to insult and embarrass someone who might not have been homeless.

And I agree about the scammers. There is one intersection (YM and DznyFan would know where I'm talking about - 71st and 169), that there is this same guy there ALL THE TIME. I think that may be his "job".

Anyway......I can't stop thinking about what I should have done, or if I did the right thing by doing nothing.

hmmmm.... my questions would be: why is a grown man sitting in a McD's playing a PSP and drinking? I find the whole thing REALLY odd. Like 'trolling' kind of odd. He could get a bottle of booze but not any food? No.... somethings not right with that picture. Should you have offered to buy him food? Although I understand you feeling bad because he had nothing to eat, he made the choice to have a 'bottle' instead of food. And a PSP.
