Good morning snow birds and non-snow birds----

Well, the news is saying how bad it is and the highway dept. is on saying to give them time to get things cleared. Power outages everywhere------so, I called work-------I get, "really, the news is saying that?? I didn't have any problems getting in------your first guest is at 7, but she's not here yet-----your next one is at 8:30."
Please read the above statements in your best high pitched whiney voice. :thumbsup2 :furious: (from her, not me :teeth: )

So, I guess I'm off to work. :furious: :furious:

I will catch up with everyone later. Be safe and have a nice cup of hot cocoa for me.

Donna----thanks for the eggs benedict----I may have to save them for a late lunch---but nothing wrong with that!!!yum!!!

Good morning everyone!!! I hope the Crew mwmbers that are in the snow/ice/sleet area are extra careful if you venture out today!!
I've had a special request from April. So I will do my best to see if I can find all of the ingredients for Eggs Benedict!!

Eggs_Benedict.jpg

I hope you all enjoy!!! Eggs Benedict is 2x2s's favorite also.

Have a safe and warm day today and T G I F ! ! !
Thanks Donna!! The breakfast looks delicious!! I didn't know that this was 2x2s's favorite breakfast too. Great minds must think alike. :lmao:

We woke up to pouring rain this morning and. . . we have a loaner car from the dealer while they're fixing ours, a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer and poor Steven forgot and left the back open and it's pouring out. :faint: He ran out there this morning to put the gate down and he said it wasn't too bad as they have a vinyl mat in there that just got a little wet but it's not bad at all. {Breathing big sigh of relief!!}

I hope this is no indication on how this day is going to go.

Talk to you all soon. . .

Good Morning!

Thanks for the pastries Donna! (I am not really a eggs Benedict kind of gal!)

April- That's good that your loaner car didn't get even more wet.

Everyone stay dry, warm, and safe today!

Good Morning all!

Hope you are all warm this morning. Another single digit morning here and another storm on it's way for tonight.

Can someone tell me who I should PM my address to for the Christmas Cards? I'll get that done this weekend. Thanks so much!

Sorry, I can't remember who asked but yes, Keagan is my one and only (if you don't count my Husband :teeth: )

Lizziesmom- Yeah Lizzie for being such a big girl!

April-- Sounds like you are going to have a great trip!

YM- Awesome photo's

2x- what a great Dad! Love the photo of Mator!

Okay, so it's not an attraction per say but I sure do miss Tapestry of Dreams at Epcot. It was a really neat parad and I love the soundtrack!

Well , this is going to be short and sweet this morning, got to go volunteer at tmy son's school! Have a great day! :wave2:

What a chatty bunch you guys have been! :chat: Everyone must be snowed in! The snow is pretty bad here and it is still coming down. If you have to go out, please be safe!

The kids have a snow day today. They couldn't be more happy! :yay:

Did I see someone was complaining about 85? :furious: :teeth: :welcome: ADevereaux

Oh Donna, my absolute favorite is eggs Benedict, it's been forever since I had any!

The girls and I had a really good time at he Nutcracker last night! It was at a local high school and put on by a dance school. It was wonderful! The costumes and scenery were absolutely gorgeous, and the dancers were wonderful. Last night was for all the girl scouts. We are looking forward to their next ballet Peter and the Wolf. :cool1:

Lesa----still on those vanilla frosty's, huh?? :teeth: Thanks for thinking of me---I needed one of those!!
The hot chocolate really hit the spot too!!! Where did you get all of that chocolate to "stage" your photo?? :thumbsup2 (thumb)
Have fun at the Nutcracker Ballet tonight!! This is my absolute favorite!!!!

I got sick of frosty's after a while. I was having a bad night! :rolleyes1 (why do they keep messing with me and moving the smilies around) My hot cocoa is made of only the finest chocolate my dear! ;) Besides I always have chocolate on hand for those times of need! :teeth: I don't remember where I got the candy cane thingy, but your welcome to it! :)

YM...I'm in Crystal Lake, about an hour NW of Chicago

My favorite Holiday I must say is Christmas even though it stresses me out! ;) I love the looks on the kids faces when they open their presents. I do hate it when I get presents. For some reason it ruins it for me. I would rather give than receive! Call me odd, but I don't like getting presents! :confused3

Ashley...Sorry about the computer! :badpc: We'll miss you!

Lizziesmom...Madison still needs her blankie and she's in the second grade. It is the thing she loses first when she is being naughty! ;) She kisses it like crazy when she gets it back. :lmao: (don't tell her I told you that) :rotfl:

The attraction I miss the most is the old Imagination!

Linda...Love the new sig! If you send me your email address I'll try and get you the AG pictures tonight or tomorrow.

I'm very angry at my little Minnie Mouse...she ate my pretty Mickey and Minnie tree skirt even more today! It has a white yarn border between the outer border and the main skirt and she pulled it out and ate the yarn! I wanted to cry. Its from Disneystore.com from back in the day and I love it! Darn doggie....if she wasn't so cute I'd be even more angry at her. But how can you be mad at this face?
My Grace must be talking to you Minnie cause she ate my favorite VS bra yesterday! :furious: Ate the straps clean off it!!! :sad2:

I'd better stop here, I'm feeling a bit winded! ;) I'm going to catch my breath and feed the kiddies! Again if you have to go out in this nasty weather please drive safely!!!

Wow! Sorry I didn't realize that was so long! I hope your eyes aren't burning from reading it all! ;) :teeth:

Morning ladies (and gentleman)!

Donna - the eggs benedict and the pastries both look yummy!

2X - so sorry you have to go in to work! Your clients need to heed the 'stay at home' advice!

Nicole - what a gorgeous family you have!!!

April - the rain in that car could have been really bad - thank goodness it wasn't.

Linzy - love the pic on the cruise!! Linda will enjoy it, too, I bet. :thumbsup2 You have some cute puppies!

I am staying home :cool1: today - there's only about 7 people out of 50 in today, my boss NOT being one of them. DH said he wouldn't take me (he's got a little Lexus SUV), and there's no way my little car will get out of the neighborhood. The snow comes all the way up to the bottom of my car! Good day to clean my house!

YM - are you safe and have power??

Have a lovely day, everyone!!!

Channel 5/St. Louis just had a reporter in Overland Pk.,Kansas. Is that anywhere near you, lyzziesmom? They were saying that part of the city got 6 inches of snow and other part saw almost no snow. It's really weird how weather patterns are so ......well, weird. :confused3

Still catching up but had to answer... YES, I live IN Overland Park!! My patio chairs have about a foot of snow on them. My icicle lights have actual real icicles hanging off of them, it's pretty funny! The northern part of Kansas City got no snow, just a bunch of ice, while the southern part (where I am) got the brunt of it. A little while ago I watched an SUV slide off the highway outside my office window!

I'm off to catch up some more, will do a recap in a few.

Yikes lyzziesmom! You be careful! a foot of snow :faint: no thanks!!

lesa, thanks it was time for a change ::yes:: Mike was always saying... you don't have a pix of me on there :rotfl: a little jealous or something :rolleyes1

Just reading these makes me crave some hot chocolate...brrr!!

Donna... that looks sooo good!!! Yes tomorrow will be 2 months :woohoo: :cheer2:  I'm so excited!! I think I'm more excited about our trip than Christmas

we were watching the according to jim where they were on the disney cruise last night. I was getting so excited :goodvibes I said I can't wait but we won't be on that ship... we'll be on the Wonder this time... he says...now you and I both know that the next year we'll be right back down there going to wdw and or cruise anyway :rolleyes1 :rotfl: I think he's got me figured out :teeth:

Cant wait to hear if Amber likes Boma. I want to try that place sometime!

Lin... love your disney Wonder pix!!! your dogs are so adorable :cloud9: They just look way too sweet. Your dog did the same thing mine did. chewed up my disney tree skirt. that was a few years ago... I've bought a few new ones since then. I love the ones on disneyshopping.com!
we were on the Magic Dec 4th 2004!! :cloud9: I can't wait to go back. Oh man...now I'm craving that chocolate souffle!

Dznyfan...yes it is a good day to clean the house! Too bad I'll have to wait til tomorrow for that.

Stay warm everybody!!!

So much to reply to!!

Glad y'all like the QOD! (See that April? That "y'all" was just for you!) Will wrack the ol' brain for more. Loving the answers!

DznyFan: never saw Horizons?? Loved the orange grove, as 2x mentioned. Was tres cool. Erin = VERY late! I would have insisted on inducing labor. No patience here!

Nicole: nice pix! You look like mom, sis looks like dad. Ooo, forgot about Mr. Toad. Miss that one too, loved going to 'hell'. Wait, that sounds bad. Love the old rides park idea. "Disney Classics" maybe?

Lin: I still have my blankie. Lives at mom's house in a drawer to keep it away from the kids (they'd ruin it). Was named Whitey. Sounds worse now than it did as a kid. When kids are not here, I sleep w/Emma's "Hanky Blankie" - smaller version of Whitey. Smells like Emma. Cute dogs! BAD dog!! Mom's dog ate everything. Loved my undies. Took 'em outside to eat 'em. 12-year-old lawn boy + chewed up red thong = very embarrassed lawn boy. Glad my cats live at mom's house. One likes to sleep & puke on tree skirt. Better hers than mine. Great picture w/the Mouses!

April: good dog! Good DH! I will take over the Xmas card list. Anyone not on it PM me your name & address & email address, will add you to list, update & resend this weekend. Car open = oops! Glad no damage done. Hope day improves.

Donna: nice alternate breakfast! How 'sweet' of you! (get it, pastries... sweet...?) I did Boma last trip, Queen of Picky Eaters found things to eat. Was fun, loved the atmosphere. Some very interesting things! Did not care for Zebra Domes though. Had 6 anyway. Did not know contained liqueur.

Michele: nice weather-dodging. Rain = bad, sleet ice & snow = worse.

2x: gotta love bosses. Hello, ever heard of tv or radio? The whiney voice hurts my eyes. Hope your 'guests' come in so you can make the almighty $$$ and justify coming in.

Yolanda: see above for Xmas card info. Parades are attractions too! Never saw Tapestry. We don't wait for parades, like 'em if we catch 'em but like to hit popular rides @ parade time.

Lesa: Lyzzie kisses her blankie too. Loves the old rag. Has tried to bring it to school. I miss original Imagination too. Bad Gracie! Bra straps = not yummy!!

Linda: Stop making me want to cruise!!

Pozey...didn't you say Chase was a Christmas eve birthday?
Yes, Chase was born on Christmas Eve.

He was also born with pneumonia. He had to spend a week in an incubator.

The year he was born, we didn't "celebrate" Christmas until January. We still had all the gifts under the tree and everything. We had Christmas once he was able to come home.

My birthday is January 2nd. It was always nearly forgotten when I was a child. With all the excitement of Christmas and New Year's and everything, everyone would always go......"Oh. We forgot your birthday."

I bet Pozey stays home and plays in the snow with the kids.
Nope. I'm here at work. :sad2:

I was going to stay home, but there was a project that I promised a client that I would have finished today.

DW stayed home with the kids today. They will probably go play in the snow later this afternoon.

We also got somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 - 8 inches of snow last night. It is very pretty snow.

Places farther north of our place got quite a bit more snow than we did.

This is the before and after picture that I promised. The first one is yesterday and is all sleet. The second one is the same area after 10.4 (Tulsa airport official snow total...we have about the same)! Can anyone find my bushes? :teeth:

ps Pozey why do my pictures stink...can't figure out what all that glare is?

Morning everyone! Brrrr it is chilly out there!
Have a special drink on me!
starbucks1.jpg

I don't have to go in until 3:30 today so I'm going to stay warm here with my puppies!

Lyzziesmom, thanks for taking over the Christmas card! I checked the email from Ashley and it only had my email address on it because I sent it to her late, so I don't have everyone elses. I will pm you my email address just in case.

Pozey...wow, what a scary start for Chase. Did he aspirate some amniotic fluid? Sorry your birthday was forgotten. :-( (those darn smiles aren't working for me). Rats that you had to work....my work place is closed. DH made it but we live very close...he works next to the airport.

I'm going to go catch up on my laptop...had to be at this computer for the pictures....which I have more of for later. I got a little behind last night
.....be right back.

Nicole...those are very sweet pictures of you and your family....I cant tell who you look like....I can only really tell through baby pics! (yes I'm a goof!)

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Sorry ;) ...now that you cashed out the 401k... you should join us :woohoo:

YM...wow that is quite a difference! Brrrrrrr. This freezing weather does make it feel like Feb is just around the corner though :cheer2:

pozey... sorry you had to finish a project today! Does Chase like his birthday being Christmas eve? I'm glad my b/d isn't until April. At least by then the weather is getting nicer out.

My mom's birthday is 12/12 and she HATES it. She says she just gets a Christmas present early :guilty: I have to make sure to really differenciate the two. This year she'll be 50 :faint: boy time flies. When we went to Yellowstone last year we were talking about dinosaurs, Kenny is fascinated by them. Mike started telling him to ask grandma Deb b/c she was around when the dinosaurs were :lmao: of coarse he asks her about it.

Oh Lin...those look so good right about now!! Thank you

I'm sitting here at work and I can hear the wind blowing like crazy. it just sounds horrible. So, I'm sitting here daydreaming....
