Hey everyone

I can't sleep so I thought I'd check in. Today all I did was go to Target and clean up the house so I feel like I wasted my whole Saturday and now I'm wide awake!

Lyzziesmom- are you still awake? Hope your back is feeling better. The girls looked so adorable with their face paintings, I'm so sorry Lyzzie's things were stole though.

I really need to get going on my christmas cards and christmas shopping.

We don't have any real plans for Thanksgiving. It's only the two of us so making a big turkey is out. I'm thinking I might just get a turkey breast because thats not too big. Then make one or two sides, and thats about it. I'm looking forward to the 4 day weekend though!!!

I need to get my Christmas cards bought, but I can't find just the right ones I wanted to send all of you. The only Disney ones Hallmark had were of Pooh, not that I have anything against Pooh, but I was hoping for Mickey. Has anyone noticed what Target has? I could go there today if I knew for sure they had them.(It's a 50 mile drive!!)

Good mornin' sunshines! I tried my darndest to sleep in this morning, but Emma started calling for me at the crack of nine. Turns out her pants had fallen down during the night and her little booty was cold! Lyzzie was nice enough to help her, but by then she was awake and decided everyone else should be too.

Donna, I have not seen any Disney cards at Target. Maybe I didn't look in the right place? I gave up and went with regular non-Disney cards, but I did make them myself! But since the girls helped, some of you might be getting some rather odd-looking cards from us. Darn, I was going to have the girls Xmas pictures done this weekend & I plum forgot. I do not feel up to leaving the house today. Perhaps I'll just get them dressed up and take photos myself. We tried that last year, but Emma wouldn't sit still. The last Xmas picture I have of her is when she was 6 months old!

2x, I was all set for my nice big bowl of Lucky Charms! (is that still an option?) The scones however look delicious. Would it be weird if I skipped the jam and just smothered mine in cream?

I'd better go clean up after real breakfast before Mom gets here!

I'm not doing much for Thanksgiving, just being with family.

I got everyone some funny Christmas cards. When I was at Target I didn't see any Disney cards at all.

I tried to do some Christmas shopping but couldn't find anything I liked for anyone. Then I went and bought a new cell phone. Then I went to Best Buy to try and find a case for the phone, couldn't and went into Michael's craft store and signed up for cake decorating classes! I can't wait! After that me and Steven were at the mall and walked by an art store that had a beautiful framed sketch of Tinkerbell. So he went in and bought it for me as a early Christmas present! I told him to wrap it and give it to me on Christmas day! I'll have to take a picture of it to show everyone. Last night we had dinner with some friends of Steven's that were from out of town.

Ooohhh I want to be frosted!!! (That so did not sound right!!!) Looks like I might have to steal it from someone's siggy!

Yummm...scones are one of my favorites! Tell me because I always forget...what is the difference between heavy cream and devonshire cream? Where do you get these exact scones in St Louis?

Just a quick check in to say hello. I am on my way out the door to meet some friends at the Art Museum and for a late lunch at the BoatHouse. This was very last minute so I am excited to go. Lately I've become such a last minute person.

I looked at Target and Borders and both are a no-go on Disney cards. So, I have decided to go with regular-----one problem-----I cannot make up my silly little mind whether to get crazy off-the-wall ones to meet my very similar sense of humor or really beautiful ones to meet my other half (what I meant by that is cards that are really sweet and traditional-----cuz the way I wrote it just sounded conceited --which is not me----you know what I mean). Anyway, can't decide.

Poor Emma's little cold tushy. Nine o'clock is pretty good for little ones to sleep. Usually they are up earlier, huh??

Nicole---wow--sounds like you had a good day, even though you didn't really get any shopping done for others. I am in the market for a new cell phone as well, but for some odd reason, just cannot break down and do it. Mine is so old it has rotary dial. j/k----but close. You're probably too young---do you even remember rotary dial phones??

Yay for cake decorating classes. I remember you saying a while back that you wanted to do this. That was you, right?? I'm thinking it was. This is so exciting!!!

Hey Donna....do you have to drive all the way to St Louis to go to Target? I haven't even looked at any cards this year. Is there a Walgreens near by? Sometime they will have some cute cards. I meet a photographer that does picture parties (went to one). I decided to have a party which was bit of a pain but I'm going to send a photo card out this year! I might send a few plain cards too...not everyone wants a picture. Good luck.

lyzziesmom...my DS still loves those footy pajamas. Although it really hasn't been cold enough to wear them he really wanted to the other night. He woke up with an entire leg out....which I thought that was the purpose of them...so they would come out... After I washed them I figured out the darn zipper was boken so I guess he worked his leg out.

Nicole...what fun...a cake decorating class. You can start baking real cakes for our cyber birthdays and putting pics up...then you can eat for us. How sweet of you DH to get you the Tinkerbell picture.

YM - that's too funny about your DS getting a leg out of the footy jammies! Lyzzie loves those too, I was going to buy her a bunch the other day until I discovered they were 12 bucks a pair! She will just have to make do with the one pair she still has (with a functional zipper). When I was a kid I hated them, the feet were made of plasticky stuff that made me have very sweaty feet and it drove me nuts. I would always cut the feet of the jammies off, which in turn drove my mom nuts! They make them so much nicer now.

I still have so much to do today - I have a whole packet of paperwork to fill out for my first day at the new job tomorrow and I really haven't done more than glance at it. I do my best work under pressure! (yeah right, I just keep telling myself that). The truth is, I'm pooped and just don't feel up to doing anything. We are all still in our jammies today!!

Hi, everyone. Well, I'm back from eating a late lunch at Applebee's and doing the weekly shopping. We were supposed to hang Christmas lights today, but MIL wanted her desk and some other things brought to the house that are being stored in the back room of the cleaners. We sort of put the lights on the back burner until next weekend.

Nicole:: I need a new cell phone, too. My almost 14 year-old niece has a Pink Razor phone. Really neat that you are going to take cake decorating classes!! I would love to see your Tinkerbell sketch.

I don't have to drive all the way into St. Louis. I go to the one in O'Fallon,Il. It is about 50 miles away. All we have in my area is Walmart.(Yes, I live in the wilderness! )
We actually have a Walgreen's, I may have to look there.
