So....what did you find out? What were you looking at? What looked good/bad? Opinions dear Pin-cess!!!! :wave2:
I thought everyone was heading to bed. Why didn't you just open another window. Sometimes I've got 4 or 5 things going while I'm waiting for someone to sign on. :surfweb: :rotfl2:

First of all, thanks Donna for posting my breakfast last night!! hehe ;) pirate:

I was just checking out prices on accomodations on allears. They still have 2006 prices posted and what I found out is that even during value season the deluxe are waaaay pricey. I have no idea how I did it and how I am doing it in a month!!! Maybe mod is the way to go---ranging up to $155 per night, if I can remember, depending on view.

The one thing we need to remember is that in some of the values there could be large groups of people blocking out rooms. I'm not sure of the time of year when we are planning but back in Dec. the Pop Warner football people were there staying in the values. This is when I was very thankful we were in deluxe.

any thoughts??

Thanks for the muffins too----I thought I was the first one up so I started rummaging through the kitchen but came up empty handed. :confused3

oh, and btw-----did you see what time it was last night when I logged off?? Do you think the idea of opening another window even crossed my groggy mind?? :teeth:

2x2s::I was thinking the same thing as you as far as the values go. My 2 cents is the Moderates are our best bet as well. The thing would be to decide which one. I picked POFQ because of being close to DTD.(ie. shopping and food) It's one draw back may be that I don't believe it actually has a full-service restaurant on it's property, but neither would the values. Whatchthink?

And I was about to fall asleep at the keyboard, who am I to be giving computer advice!!! :rotfl2:

No problemo on the breakfast last night. I almost took a bite myself!!! :teeth:

As far as the restaurants go, I believe Boatwright's is at POR (POFQ sister hotel), although I have never eaten there. My thoughts are that we will make ADR's at whatever place we want to eat, no matter what or where they are located. Perfect example----WL--I am eating only at Artist Point and wanted to eat there whether or not we were staying at WL. Does this make any sense at all, because for some reason I don't believe it does.??

All have food courts, I believe, which would be good for breakfast or a quick snack. (when we're not at Kona :teeth: )

I checked out the 2007 list of venues on the dining plan and to me it seems as if it has NOT changed drastically. Am I looking at it correctly?? I thought people were making such a big stink about a bunch of restaurants dropping off.??
I did check out Shades of Green $$ and YM knows her stuff because it is not pricey at all!! and to be in walking distance to Poly. I wonder if you still are offered things such as Disney transportation and such?? I thought YM said you cannot do dining plan.

I forsee eating breakfast at Kona at least once...or twice!!! ;) There you go, we've already made the decisions girls!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
For just 3-4 day I don't think the restaurant will be an issue. We can go where ever we want to go!! :thumbsup2
One of the other reasons I'm thinking FQ is because it is a little smaller than the other moderates. If we don't get connecting rooms, maybe we wouldn't be that far from each other!! :grouphug: I think FQ has about 1,000 rooms and the other have like 2,000. (If Ashley comes back with negative feedback we may have to re-think)

I am reading your post about Shades of Green(SOG). I knew it was really close. It used to be the old Disney Inn you know!! If I remember correctly, you can either walk to the Poly and take transportation from there, or SOG's bus will take you to the TTC and take the buses from there. No, it's not eligble for the dining plan.

YourMajesty up and at your service. :teeth: I was first to bed and last to rise! I think I will call Disney and see if they will let you do the dining plan while staying at SOG. I assumed no because while it's on disney property it's not operated by Disney. You still get the early entry and EMH. SOG will have over flow rates if they are full but I doubt they will be full when we are looking but you never know. Like I said can get up to three rooms with my military ID. I seem to remember a good promotion last year around the time we are thinking of going. It was either free dining or really great prices on resorts. I've seen AK lodge at a good price and also WL will have some pretty good rates. Are there any Mods around Epcot. I've always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk but I'm with Donna about the $$$.

Well there you go....thanks Donna...no dining with SOG. The poly is an easy walk(10 mintues) but the transportation at SOG is pretty good. You can go to the TCC, MGM, AK and the water parks by bus. We watched the Funai classic golf tournament from our room last Oct. It is right in the middle of the palm and magnolia golf course.

Good thinking about POFQ and it's size. I know some of the resorts are so spread out and after a long day at parks, etc. this can be somewhat daunting. We'll see. Did MImom say how they liked Coronodo?? I have never been, but I have heard that it is extremely large and they now have an internal transportation system. :moped:

I just looked at the time. I must run for a bit. I'll catch up later.

Have a good day, or couple of hours, or whatever until I can get back here. :teeth:

Anyone need anything from Target??

Good Morning, YourMajesty :worship:!!!!
I woke up with a cramp in my foot, so decided to get up!! Is your DH or you retired or active military? If you ever said, my poor old brain can't remember. My SIL is retired military and now a civilian worker at Ft. Sill(?)

Good Morning Glory!!!

Hey if you guys are up for deluxe at a decent price, you know this hotel Pin-cess will go for that!! I'll make it work---let me go clean out my purse and car for loose change. :smooth:

Wait a minute, I'll go with you!! Never mind, I spent all of my $$ yesterday!!!
Is this the Target that is kind of across from the Schnucks/Penneys complex on Hampton. I remember a Target was there and wondered if that is where you go!!!

Pin-cess...I just had a private converstion with Donna and we decided a campsite will be the way to go. ;) :rotfl: Hey I'll talke a caramel macchiato heated extra hot from Target. If the have Krisy Kremes...I'll take a chocolate with bovarian cream (sorry guys I can't spell). :teeth:

So...who has AP's??
I let mine expire last year, because I didn't go as much as I thought I would the previous year. I could purchase another one, that might help with the room rates.

OH NO YM, I JUST READ WHERE YOU BROKE THE NEWS TO OUR PINCESS ABOUT THE CAMPSITE!! WHO NEEDS TO SHOWER AND BRUSH THEIR TEETH ANYWAY!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :woohoo: :joker:

Good morning...Donna  Sorry, I had to get my order in for 2xcited.

Ouch...a foot cramp...not a pleasant way to start the day.

My DH is active reserve. He will probably retire soon. You can still stay if you are retired...I think the rate goes up to $106 :rotfl: I pulled out the ole Disney book to look at the resorts. I'm thinking if we keep watching we will be able to get a nice mod or even a deluxe at a good price since we are looking at such an off time.
