Who here is done with their taxes?

They are done, but we are waiting until April because we owe a boatload. DH changed jobs and the witholdings were messed up something fierce. We fixed it now, so this should be the only year we have this mess.

I e-filed last night and am awaiting turbo tax's email letting me know the IRS accepted my return.

Me too for Federal. Hoping for Federal refund by mid Feb. I am going to mail in the state (even though I owe, it is only $1 ) and local (a wash) tomorrow.

Filed with TurboTax on Monday, Federal accepted on Tuesday, State accepted yesterday (Wednesday). Check mailed to IRS yesteday for tax due. Now waiting on State to electronically deposit my refund. I sure do like this a lot better than when I did it by hand!

I filed them a couple weeks ago. Our state refund was in our account in a couple days. Our fed return was supposed to go in our account tomorrow but there was a delay so I don't know if it will go tomorrow or next Friday (they said it should be in there by Feb 14th but I am pretty sure they do all their deposits on Friday).

SO and I both filed our taxes online using Turbotax on Monday, we expect our refunds by Valentines Day.

I finished doing ours last night, just have to wait for DH to double check my math. I hope I did them right, because if I did, we are getting a huge refund!

I filed mine online Sunday evening. I am thinking it will be deposited next Friday. I did my state over the phone Sunday night also. I went to see if a payment had cleared the bank and saw the state one had already been deposited!!!!

Well, I'm not organized and not sure if I'm even type A, but I'm done with mine. Only because I know I'm getting a refund.

I went to H&R Block on 1/31 and had mine done. The irs.gov site says I should have my federal return by 2/14, but figure I will get it way before then, like next week. The Illinois one I have no idea when I'm getting that one yet and it says:

"Your return has been processed; however a date for your refund has not been determined. If you filed electronically please check back with us in a few days. However, if you mailed your return, please check back in two weeks."

I ran it through 3 programs last night and then filed with the cheapest =)

I am just glad I can sleep at night now that we know we don't owe any money. Should be direct deposited in the next 10 days!

I still haven't gotten my W-2. My mom had the information from my school a couple days after I came back to school. My employer, on the other hand is a very last minute kind of person, so he never sends out W2's until the last possible day We don't generaly file until late February or the start of March anyway, but it's annoying to me to be waiting on that.

I'm waiting on my W-2 from H&R Block, ironically. I worked there last tax season and so far I haven't gotten them yet.

Not done. I refinanced last year with Countrywide (as of right now my impression is they suck) and they didn't include what property/school taxes were paid so I have to call them.

I could be wrong, but by law doesn't your employer need to have mailed or given you your W2's by 1/31. I thought I saw that somewhere.

They need to be mailed by 1/31. Dh got a memo that they were mailed late in the day on the 31st.

Thanks for the clarification. We always get ours with the last paycheck of the month in January, so this has never been an issue, but I was curious.

I got mine today. It was postmarked 1/31/2006 but I was able to download it before that.
