stuckatwork said:Before DD was born three years ago handicap 2.3 - Went about two weeks ago and had a hard time staying under 90. Doesn't help I haven't played but about 3 times in three years. Oh well, plenty of time for golf when the kiddie is gone as she's only little once.
That's exactly right! I don't golf, but DH does-a lot! BK, he was almost scratch-handicap around 1. He wanted to be a professional golfer, but this was during the Vietnam War draft, he had a low draft # and didn't want to be drafted. Soooo, instead he did college, marriage, kids. Just like stuckatwork, he didn't golf much again til we became empty nesters. Now he golfs constantly-I don't, too busy being a "golf widow". Like it was BK, his handicap is about 1 or scratch.
Don't tell anyone!
. Dh and the kids like to golf and our course is very good about letting kids play. Our DD is ready for the varsity golf team, but she has to wait 2 more years until she is old enough. I was our club champion this year, so that was exciting for me (normally I take second but our best player wasn't there this year-she is a +2.5 handicap
--which is a TOTALLY different level of golf then I am on!). I took up golf about 15 years ago but didn't play much as the kids came along. We have been golfing seriously for about 6 years now.
