1997 was my third trip to WDW and I'm not sure when I will go back. It's not lack of money, or a lack of desire, it's just that two years ago I found somewhere I like even better...Disneyland (I know this makes me a freak to most on this board 
). I had been to DL twice as a teenager and hadn't given much thought to going back. In 2001 I had business that took me through the LA area so decided to break the trip up and spend three days in Anaheim. This was my first trip since DL had opened as the Disneyland Resort and I was hooked. There are many reasons I prefer DLR over WDW but probably the main two are the intimacy of the resort, and the fact that Walt built it and walked in it (DL, not the whole resort, obviously). We made our second trip there this April.
My SO and I have talked about going to WDW (she has never been and I want her to compare the two), but we are already planning another DLR trip in early 2004, and will return again for the 50th anniversary in 2005. We might make it to WDW in 2006
