Right now I am booked at the Swan for one night for $194
including tax. We are then moving to AKL for our package Land & Sea vacation. Hotwire is showing that night for a Disney world
area 4 stars $71.00.

Whats your experience with the hotwire hotels offered in the Disney word area 4 stars can anybody clue me in?

Many Thanks.

I have not personally used hotwire -- too nervous -- but I have seen people get the Swan and Dolphin, as well as the Wyndham in DD and the Gaylord Palms and Marriott World Center under the 4* catergory. What you need to do is go to this website:

http://pub77.ezboard.com/ftravelbiddingfrm11.showMessage?topicID=2.topic

The person who maintains this keeps track of the amenities that the Swan and Dolphin are listed with on hotwire. If the hotel you are looking at lists the same amenities as what this site shows, you have a decent (but NOT guaranteed chance thhat it is the Swan or Dolphin. This site also lists some other tips for bidding on hotwire to get the S or D. It makes more sense when you see his site.

HTH.

Thanks for the information.

I read it all, went back to hotwire, now they were showing it for
$70.00 at that price I thought I can't lose ,so I selected it , gave my Credit Card number (my heart was pounding) hit the purchase
button and it showed """""" no longer avaliable.

I went back, did a new seach, now they are showing the 4 star at $109.00 Bummer

Thanks so much for the help, maybe next time I'll get lucky

Check out that link that Disnee fun gave, it has lots of good info
including what icon's to look for to increase your chances of
Swan and Dolphin.

I don't think they are showing up for my dates but they do show
up sometimes.

Good luck!

The 4 star at $109 could be Swan/Dophin , or not:(. I doubt that the $70 is S/D. You can also check www.betterbidding.com. for more info. Somewhere I read that if you check that you want hotel plus flight, the name of the hotel will appear BEFORE you actually make the bid.

We were lucky enough to book the Swan for our upcoming Thanksgiving trip for $79 a night several months ago using hotwire. My DH's daughter wants to join us with her 2 little ones for a few days that we are there. I just checked hotwire a few minutes ago and it looks like the Wyndham is listed for $61 a night. 4 star restaurants pool fitness business center golf nearby tennis near by and spa on property. Good luck if you decide to try.
