Who has to work on Thanksgiving?

I'll be having the hospital's turkey dinner in the cafeteria. At least my DH and sons will come up and have dinner with me.

I do but for only 5 hours, from 7pm to midnight. We never close so holidays are a must. The company is supplying us with a ham and turkey for each shift, we have to bring in the side dishes.

Oh and a nice incentive - we get double and a half pay! woohoo

I don't but my kids have to weigh in for a big wrestling tournament that morning! Luckily they can come home and eat after weighing in and don't have to wrestle until Friday morning! Too bad you have to work Blondie! That really stinks!

We get time and a half too....it's not worth it to me though.

I'd rather be at home with my family.

At least I am off on Christmas this year!

Sorry you have to work on Thanksgiving, Kathy. We're actually having Thanksgiving on Friday instead of Thursday because of conflicting schedules.

I'm off work Thursday and Friday.

I am off on Thursday but have to work Friday. my DH has to work Thursday and is off on Friday. I guess we will just eat a late dinner on Thursday.

Not me! But one year I worked Thanksgiving and Christmas both...and it was at a video store!!! I couldn't believe the owner made us stay open on those holidays. I was the newest person hired so I had to work them. Hardly anyone came in, it was stupid to be open. Whatever money that was made by renting videos on the holidays was spent to pay me, and to pay the electric and heat bills for the day.

I work at a movie theater and we are open, this is the first year in the 6 years that I have worked there that I haven't had to work Thanksgiving and/or Christmas, most of the time at least a couple of hours on both, I am so happy, I will most likely have to work New Year's Eve or Day though.


*We usually are pretty busy on both days though.
