I am considering Cirque du Soleil tickets for my family of 6. I will need 4 adults and 2 children tickets. They are available through Ticket Mania for about $380.00. Anyone know of a cheaper source? Any input on the show? Is it worth it? Thanks!!!!

I'd like to hear also, as we are considering adding this into our next trip.... BTW, my kids are currently 6/8... we may go next year (keep your fingers crossed)................P

I bought mine from Paramount travel. The adult was $70 & child $43. They charge $15 dollar delivery. They will send you a voucher. I turned my voucher in at the box office & got great seats for Oct. You may want to call & see how to do this thru the mail.I know some of the companies will make reservations for you but not until 30 days out. You may not get the best available seats this way but I've heard all the seats are good.

FYI, someone on ebay is selling a gift certificate. No, it is not me!!

June 1 - Sep 30, 2004 Cirque is giving 25% discount off Category 2 admissions (select seats only) to AP holders. And you can bring one guest along.

Another good reason to buy AP.

Ticketmania...$72 (adult) and $45.00 (child) free shipping.

Or you can pick up your tickets at Ticket Mania and take advantage of this special: "Come in to the store and purchase your tickets (Printer Friendly Page), or order Online and do an office pick up and receive a Free 20 Minute Phone Card and a Free Round for Two of Mini Golf at Tiki Island Adventure Golf (About 2 Minutes from our store)."

No one has mentioned if the cost is worth it...we've thought about going during our last 4-5 trips, but haven't done it yet. I've seen Cirque shows on Bravo a lot - is it one of those things that is better in person? Not that I didn't enjoy watching it on TV, but that didn't cost me $70/person :teeth:

As to whether the cost is worth it - that is, of course, totally subjective - but I will tell you about our experience. I have seen it several times (love it - but those were all on solo trips, so the money expended was not like those with families). My dad was coming with me on a trip so I got tickets for us. When we came out of the show, my dad said "That was fantastic - want to go see it again tomorrow night?" And we did! We just love it. But you must balance the expense involved (especially for a familty) with what you enjoy.

The traveling shows are often longer and cheaper - but they don't hit every city and they take a long time to cross the country. We saw one in the Twin Cities and had a two hour show for $15 less a ticket over La Nouba's pricing.

But it was fantastic. And as soon as our kids get old enough to sit through it, we will see La Nouba.

I'm pretty frugal and I thought it was worth it. ::yes::

I am the cheapest person in the world and I say it's worth the money. I fully intend on buying 4 tickets for me, Dh, DD, and DS to go see it. Totally worth the money.
(DH and I saw it in 2000 on a business trip and our tickets were paid for by the company hosting the business meetings.)
