whom should i contact about financing for a resale?

does timeshare have companies or do they do it themselves?

I don't know if it's changed yet but financing for resales was apparently VERY difficult to come by for quite a while, due to the economy. I do recall a post from the Timeshare Store saying they were again able to offer financing.

Your best bet is probably a home equity loan.

http://www.timesharelending.net/is the only option I'm aware to directly finance a timeshares. I think their rates are 12.9% to 13.9% last I heard. A home equity loan or free CC might be a better choices if one is going to finance but even better would be saving up the money and not financing, even if one had to pay cash or rent from someone else for a couple of trips.

I just bought a small contract resale and since they don't take credit cards (for SW credits), I will use one of the credit card advance checks to deposit to my checking account and then write a check....since they are offering 0% for a year. I do have to pay a fee of about $120 to use that check though and will have it paid off before the year ends. Would love to pay cash, but am in the middle of major house remodeling and am holding on to that cash fund for now. Have gotten over 10 free Southwest RT flights during the last year and a free companion pass--but make sure to pay it off every 4 to 5 days.
