OK, we are going back to Disney in Feb. '07 for our third consecutive trip. We are thinking of doing a buffet this time for dinner. Can anyone offer any suggestions??? It will be me, my Disney fanatic husband and my 2 sons, 12 & 10. We are on the dining plan, which I personally think is the best idea.

Please help!! :thumbsup2

We have enjoyed Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine, Biergarten, and Donald's Breakfastosaurus. Most people will suggest Chef Mickey's - we weren't thrilled. I have also heard great things about 1900 Park Fare and Cape May Cafe, and of course Boma.

hollywood & vine is outstanding... the selections are plentiful and varied, a little adventurous but "safe," great dessert choices, excellent salads, and great root beer sweet potatoes! a perfect place to have an early dinner after the parade w/time for rides while everyone else is holding their seats at fantasmic (we did the dinner package) :)

other buffets we have enjoyed... 1900 park fair was yummy, esp enjoyed breakfast (it seemed more "grown up" than most of the other breakfast buffets yet still offered characters)... chef mickeys, we found the atmosphere and characters and location better than the food, but we'll still go back :)

We love Chef Mickey's & 1900 Park Fare.... really good food at the latter, but right now, this dinner is "princess-themed", which your boys may not like.

Hollywood and Vine is fabbbbbulous! I can't say whether it's best or not since I haven't been to all the Disney buffets, but it is excellent.

The buffets that we go for each time is the Crystal Palace and the dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We're going to try Chef Mickey's this time around in Oct.

The Cape May Cafe is excellent. It is in, I think, the Yacht and Beach club resort. If you are in Epcot, you can walk down international gateway to the boardwalk area. It is themed as an old fashion clam bake, however, in addition to sea food, they have all kinds of meats and potatoes type fare plus pasta and chicken. Something for everyone. They also have a large selection of desserts if you have room.

I have eaten at all of the buffets and the most outstanding to me are:
Park Faire for breakfast
Boma for breakfast
wasn't knocked our by anything else, I would rather eat full service.
Have fun and good eating!! :cheer2:

We like Boma a lot for dinner and for breakfast. For character breakfasts, we just got back and we had a fantastic breakfast at 1900 Park Faire. I was amazed how good it all was for buffet, even the bacon was crisp, not the greasy mess you usually get on a buffet table. If you do a breakfast buffet, don't forget to get made-to-order eggs or omelets at the omelet station. Really, I can't say enough about 1900 for breakfast.

We had to change an ADR for this breakfast and couldn't get in until 10:50am. It turned out to be great. We ate very light when we got up and went to the MK. At 10:30 we went over to the GF. Were seated at 11am. Basically the breakfast was our lunch. The place had emptied out so the characters visited us 3-4 times each. Best character meal I have ever had.

ETA: I see now you were only asking about dinner, which makes most of my post irrelevant. Anyway, for dinner my vote is Boma.

Thanks for everybody's input!! I really appreciate it. :teeth:

Keep the suggestions going, I love it!
