Me too! We have water in the basement, and I don't think it's supposed to stop raining until Thursday!

It's supposed to stop here Wed afternoon. Our local river is above flood stage and all the area schools closed. Well, except ours of course.

Sunny and beautiful in Ohio today. Hopefully it will head your way and dry you up.

Please send the ark north. Although personally if my house ever floods we can kiss White River West Lebanon and quite a few other towns in the area good bye.

I would prefer to have the calves born without falling into mud puddles.

the indoor and the outdoor pools are now open. School is closing now, I put the kids on the bus so I can continue to haul boxes up from the basement. Even though most stuff is in plastic totes, I'm not risking last years debacle.

Poor kids will have to go through the pond to cross moms yard to get home.

80º in Saturday 80º on Saturday 80º on Saturday

just keep on swimmin'..............

Our major town near us called for State of Emergency. Hopefully we will too, rumor has it one major road at the other end of town is under water. Thankfully I have a peep that works for the DOT so I'm getting frequent updates.

Well my street is closed! You have to tell the state police where on the street you live on order to drive down it. The schools let out at 11:30. I was sitting at the bus stop and nothing. And no other mothers there either. So I got nervous and called the school and went and picked him up. The bus just know drove by. It's a good thing I went to get him.
State safe everyone.

Christy - calf updates?

I'm a proud disney freak!!!!

I gathered all the Disney ponchos and took them to the bus stop for the boys!!!

Called the principal and said no homework will be turned in tomorrow, the boys are taking turns vacuuming, pumping and mopping. We'll probably be up all night to keep ahead of it. So far there is a little over an inch in some places.

well if Buffy has the pools covered I got the mud ponds taken care of. Holy smokes this is enough. so far our river is behaving but it won't be long.....

Holly no calf yet boys did the last check at 3:30 so I'm on duty for the next one. mud/plop pond here I come:rolleyes: I'm hoping the other one doesn't have to be put in a stall.

I'm thinking I'm going to move the naming post to it's own thread.

Oy vey! Honey, when I say "you should get a new hose for the sump pump" you should get a new hose for the sump pump. Came home from the doctor to find about 2 inches of water in the majority of the basement - thank goodness my corner was and still is dry. DH got a new hose tonight and has just hooked it up. It will take a long long while to dry out, but we should make it through the night anyway.

Bamb, if you lose power and need showers, laundry, etc, give me a holler. We have a generator so we will be fine if power goes out.
