Just curious. Really, how frequently does Disney exercise their right to purchase resales? Anyone out there have an experience? If so, what were the details?

I just submitted an accepted offer to ROFR a few days ago. After seeing what has passed in the past, I'm not too worried that we won't pass, too. But I'm curious about just how good of a deal does it have to be before Disney takes action.

Disney exercised ROFR in August '03 on the contract for 250 points at VWL. There were 2 points already used from the '03 allotment. We were going to pay the dues on the 248 points, but the seller was going to pay the closing costs. We had offered what the seller was asking, $67pp.

We then purchased 200 points direct from Disney at the Boardwalk, we took MB to lower the cost for us ($74), and we added on 50 points at VWL at $84 right away. We are completing a resale at VB.

We are very pleased with the BWV purchase, the standard view points have already come in handy for our planning a Magical Gathering. We will probably add on another 50 points at VWL through Disney. We have called our guide a few times regarding it, and she assures us she's looking out for us.

Disney used ROFR in a contract that we were interested in that was being offered for $65 a point- 88 points. No points were available for 2003-2004. We offered $62 a point and Disney snapped them up in 15 days.

What resort, and about when (month) did the transaction occur?

Thanks!
